I couldn’t make it through a single episode in both seasons without crying. That feeling is what it is to TRULY know Jesus, his heart, and his love for us. It is incredible. I didn’t think I could be more overcome with genuine happiness and love more than the moment I saw and held my child, but the moment Jesus was in my presence, and I had a moment like this with him and I couldn’t deny it… nothing will EVER compare. I love that I can see that happiness & love in your presence, love you brother, may God bless and keep you, always.

I weep and imagine how much more beautiful will be the day when we are reunited with our Savior.
Leornardo Torres, one of the pinnicles of the Christian faith rest upon the ressurrection of Jesus of Nazareth.
      Read 1 Corinthians chapter 15.
~ Verses 1 - 11 is about the Gospel, the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ sacrifice. (Very specifically verses 3 - 8)
~ Verses 12 - 34 is about Paul explaining the importance of the Ressurection of Jesus from the dead for Christian theology (removal of sin)
~ Verses 35 - 58 is about the ressurection of believers.
The main thing I wanted to point out with are these verses 12 - 34.
If you can disprove the resurrection, then you can discard Christianity as the truth.
Anything else claimed in the New Testament is nonsense.
Look into those accerting and negating the resurreection of Jesus of Nareth.
I am pro resurrection of Jesus, since I am a believer.
Some Chrsitian apologists I recommend to start somewhere:
      ~ Frank Turek
      ~ William Lain Craig
      ~Lee Strobel
      ~ C.S. Lewis (his Books)
      ~ J. Warner Wallaace
Theres more ppl, but this is something to start with

I believe that Jesus calls ALL to Him, giving everyone the opportunity to respond of his/her own free will. That is not to say that He doesn’t know who will respond, because He DOES know. The call is given to ALL so that by FREE WILL those WHO will, shall respond. For we are all sinners and pride must go before the response is positive. For even God repented for having made man. So God calls all. (Just in case someone changes his/her mind). All glory to our forgiving, loving Savior. 🙏🏻🦋

Leonardo- watching your reaction to Nicodemus and Jesus’ conversation brought me to tears. Thank you for your honesty and vulnerability. This is one of my favourite scenes! It’s so beautiful!
To accept Jesus Christ means that
    - we believe he is who he claims to be - Jesus Christ - God in the flesh. That he came to earth to deliver mankind from eternal death by shedding his blood, on the cross, to cleanse us from all sin - and that he rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.
    - We acknowledge that we are sinners. {Ever since the fall of Adam and Eve and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden - every person - with the exception of Jesus - is born in a sinful state}. The result of their fall is a broken relationship with God the Father. So God sent his son as a sacrifice, to make a way for that relationship to be restored. All we need to do is repent - to make a change of direction because of a change of heart.
    - we don’t like to think of ourselves as sinners - we like to think we are a good person - but if we place ourselves beside the Holiness and Glory of God - our own righteousness cannot measure up.
Leonardo - if you were the only person in the world - Jesus still would have come and died for you. He loves you that much. Once we truly experience God’s love - we can’t help but love him too!
So it’s as easy as ABC

    Leo,
Respectfully, you missed the point. In the rooftop scene, Nicodemus realizes that he is talking to God incarnate, Jesus the Christ (Messiah).
In a previous episode, Nico said God has no Son...because he thought the Son from Psalm 2 was the nation of Israel.
When he quotes Psalm 2 in this episode, he has come to realize that he is talking to the Son of God.
And the Son of God has invited Nico to believe in him so that Nico can have eternal life.
Jesus' message is that no one can come to God except through Him.
(Not trying to debate. Just sharing the message of the Bible)

One thing that's really cool about this show is how they add the Old Testament context to show how Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy. Of course, the New Testament does this too whenever it quotes old testament, so it's only fitting. For instance when they show you Moses with the bronze serpent and then reference it later or when Jesus or the Jewish scholars start quoting Scripture and they know exactly what they're talking about "Why are you quoting Isaiah to me" or "Yes, but we believe that is about Israel"

While you are absolutely right about your rather insightful description of the scene, I believe Leo got the point the Lord wanted Him to have concerning Himself and how He’s depicted in the show. While many of us were touched, and moved, and incredibly blessed by this scene, Leo had an encounter with the Living Lord before our very eyes. I will treasure witnessing that moment as long as I live. Leo may be a little hesitant to welcome the truth that Jesus is his Savior, his God, but the seeds that are being planted are not on the hardened ground his heart once was.

You said that the things of God are incomprehensible to the mind, the bible says in 1 Corinthians 1:18 "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." To the human mind this gospel, this message of Jesus is incomprehensible, it is foolishness. To us who the Holy Spirit has revealed the knowledge to it is the greatest news one can ever hear. • @sishrac

But is John the son of Zebedee actually the disciple that Jesus loved that is said to have authored the 4th gospel? There seems to be historical account that this John had the 4th gospel and the 3 epistles in his possession, thereby being bequeathed the status of author of these writings. Some scholars say that the true author did pass away or was martyred and John may have written verses 24 & 25 (last 2 verses of the last chapter) of chapter 21 as a postface.
The writer of the 4th gospel shows modesty in keeping the focus on Christ and the signs that point at his divinity yet he does establish who this disciple is that Jesus loved. He does that specifically in 'John' 11 verses 3, 5 and 36.
vs. 3 - So the sisters sent to him, saying, “Lord, he whom you love is ill.”
vs. 5 - Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
vs. 36 - So the Jews said, “See how he loved him!”
Then the author drives it home in chapter 21: 20 - 24 when narrating the conversation between Jesus and Peter in the context of Peter's future martyrdom. Read it below and ask yourself if it is John or Lazarus that firstly Peter would be curious to know if he'll ever die (again) and secondly the one the rest would make the assumption will not see death anymore.
20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” 23 So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?”
24 This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

Well, he did it at the cost of truth and intent of the Holy Spirit. With their given talents they could have come up with plenty of stories to show the apostles' diverse milieus and their strife with one another without tampering with truth. It's just sad to note that the pharisees' plot to kill off Lazarus to diminish Christ's impact continues to this day 'inadvertently'. Sometimes I wonder if Christ must still weep on account of Lazarus' 'assassination'!
It also seems like they've gone out of their way in the film to change the location of Nicodemus' meeting with Jesus to Capernaum whereas in Scripture it took place in Jerusalem, which is closer to Bethany where Lazarus and his sisters lived. By moving the location they'd recreated a false premise for John's authorship. It's hard to remove visual memories of fictitious anecdotes once imprinted in the mind no matter how much the new generation may read the bible for themselves. Just saying...

The brass serpent on a pole is a symbol of Jesus Christ on the cross. All who look up on it will live. It was a symbol given to the Israelites to teach them of Jesus Christ, the savior of the world. Many of the symbols given by Moses to the Israelites are misunderstood. Like Moses striking the rock and water gushing out. “O the Rock of our salvation, Jesus, Savior of the world.” From Him comes living water.

I could tell you all of the stories! I had a heard knowledge, not a heart knowledge. The people looking at that cursed serpent on those sticks to recieve healing and to be saved, how it's a prophetic foreshadowing of Jesus being cursed on the cross and how we must look to it to recieve healing and be saved.
I hope they do more flashbacks to the things in the Old Testament that foretold of Jesus' coming. It's awesome to see it being portrayed on screen, along with the the story of Jesus, because it adds so much more. Stuff that even some Christians may not know.

The Nicodemus scene would have been perfect if Jesus hadn't told Nicodemus, "You don't have to do that" when He kneeled down (Jesus is God, so it is right to worship Him). I would like to encourage you to read John 3:16.
When you said we much "leave our minds at the door" I would respectfully like to amend that... when we come to faith, we bring our minds with us but we recognize there is more than we can see. Deuteronomy 6:5 says, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your MIND, and with all your strength." Yes, there are mysteries to faith that we cannot fully know (Trinity, resurrection, creation, etc.), but God who is faithful and true has given us reason to be confident in our faith. Blind faith in anything may lead someone off a cliff, but confident faith in One Who has shown Himself to be Omnipotent and loving, leads to salvation. God wants us to study Who He is. Why do you think Jesus is called a Teacher? Why do you think He engages His students with questions and parables? To give us a glimpse of things we cannot know or understand without His revealing them to us. Only He knows all the answers, but He wants us to try to understand. That's why He came to earth (and to die for us, of course). That's why He's given us Scripture. To study and find that He is the not only the Way and the Life, but also The Truth.

I think they did that because Nico was already worshipping him in his heart and spirit ... remember Nico was a leader of the Sanhedrin which was HUGE in ceremony - often without the heart of worship. What Jesus was doing by saying that was telling an indoctrinated religious leader who depended on ceremony that he didn’t have to go through with ceremony. He didn’t have to go on his knees - because he was ALREADY worshipping the only way Jesus wants us to - from our heart.

@@saramanrique7208 I understand what you mean, but I really can't agree. This is too important. There are too many unitarians out there, you know. Scripture describes many occasions where Jesus totally accepts worship. For example, in Matthew 8:2 describes a leper kneeling before Him and Jesus didn't stop him. I don't think Jesus would reject any form of worship. I know it's just a series, but these kind of things have got to be accurate.

The meeting between Jesus and Nico is of great significance to me, its this shared confusion of Jesus' words that were spoken in John 4. Which lead me to pray and ask God for revelation regarding these things and in turn God revealed to me that we are orphans(father-less) and he has come not to just forgive our sins but ultimately to bring about our adoption through the Holy Spirit which provides our seal for heaven and because of this, we are reunited with God and can now cry out "Abba, father". So amazing to know that we have an all powerful, compassionate and attentive Father who meets us in the depths of our weakness and hopelessness and who gives us joy and rejoices with us in the victories.
