After all, He was the main villain of the series since everything that has happened was mostly because of him, Different route leads to many alternatives.

One of the best Naruto theories I have ever seen
either way Rin cannot be alive cus think practically, Madara placed a timer in Rin's heart that would blast as soon as Rin arrives konoha so she would die with 3 tailed beast anyway. Also those mist shinobi were Madara's pawns. After a lot of calculation i realized even if obito managed to return to konoha after rin dies, madara will still plan to attack konoha by taming the nine tails through someone else with a mask as Madara instead of obito. So yeah, the story will be as it is. But there can be many more changes too, like obito will be there so he will give out all the info he has about Madara, Minato n his team will definitely go search Madara but do u think he will be easy to find. He will vanish away with zetsu to another place as their hideout. But Itachi's life could change even a bit. Madara is an uchiha, Itachi would notice easily that madara is after all this n would search himself along with shisui but only if uchiha don't try to plan coup deteat. If Minato goes to search for madara, it's obvious he would take the Konoha Military police force too (that includes the uchiha clan only), they also act as shield for konoha itself no matter if they are dragged on the outskirts of the village. Fugaku would definitely want to know about madara as well so they might supress the thought of coup deteat if they come to even little proof that the nine tails attack was by madara. Danzo might join forces with Madara if he manages to console with Madara somehow. Shisui might not die n Itachi wouldn't have to eliminate his clan or join akatsuki so he, shisui n their will to protect the village will be clear. Now talk is who will become the next Hokage if Minato isn't 4th, Fugaku maybe n there r many who could become 5th like Jiraiya, Itachi, Shisui. Chances for Jiraiya is still less cus he will still have his child of prophecy to search for.

If obito was a hokage and everyone were weaker i think the story might be little bit different and probably, otsutsuki would be nerfed.
There is a really good Naruto fanfic out there called Obito-Sensei by Ser Serendipity where Kakashi is the one who died, while Obito lived. What I really like about it is that just because Obito lived does not mean everything is sunshine and rainbows-on the contrary because there is no Obito/Madara to unite the world against a common enemy, and because Naruto himself does not have the empathy needed to gradually bring about world peace (due to his much more privileged upbringing-one could compare him to canon Boruto), more wars are effectively assured. The world of Obito-Sensei is a world that is just as violent and screwed up as canon Naruto-just with different inciting incidents for said violence…

I feel like if obito defeated every enemy he would be in a state of exhaustion. In that small time frame madara could either genjutsu obito to make him forget everything or completely brainwash/control him. But if he does whip out his memory then madara would find away to get another uchiha maybe shisui around the time he unlocked his MS at the age of 8 on the battle field.

Umh, Rin was Jinchuuriki of Isobu. Mist village plan was to set off Rin in hidden leaf. If she got there, Isobu would emerge and attack Konoha. Rin intentionally let Kakashi kill her to spoil hidden mist plans.
