"Bad milk can ruin very good coffee." As a big coffee drinker and not a milk fan, I definitely agree.

I personally like Cowhead and Devondale. Also when it comes to arabica beans, especially most of the single origin ones, i pesonally find them better without milk. If i want my coffee with milk, i normally go for arabica x robusta blends.

I usually use Anchor, Arla or Jolly Cow fresh milk for my coffee. I love their taste and they're mostly available in the groceries. ♥️

Being conscious with my sugar intake recently, Arla is my favorite milk because it has the least sugar content per serving. Ironically, Emborg and Alaska has the most sugar content and these two has been the most natural tasting milk for most because they've been given these milk at a very young age. At the moment, Milk Lab, which has been hyped by many as the perfect milk for coffee, has a whopping serving of sugar.

I do appreciate highlighting how a single ingredient can change the coffee quality. We blame the blend, roast, grind, when it all boiled down to the milk used. My 3 favorite brands are Selecta, Anchor and Magnolia, so will definitely try testing what works with my current grounds. Cheers from Manila, Philippines.

I used to love Selecta's Farm Fresh milk, too. It's just so creamy and a bit salty even. BUT I stopped using it cause it has carrageenan in its ingredients list, and I learned that carrageenan is strongly linked to cancer 😞. So, beware.

I've tried almost all milk brands in the Philippines for coffee. For me, it's Australia's Own (Full Cream Milk) and Devondale to be the best milk brands for coffee. The problem with Devondale is that the packaging we receive are somehow below standards because they are usually flimsy. Other than that, both brands really taste good on coffee.

    • @lukecepheid4104
      @lukecepheid4104 ปีที่แล้ว +1

OMG. I thought I was the only one. Can't agree more. I tend to go for Devondale if I want to drink milk every day. It's just a more balanced taste. However I do notice that Australia's Own expires less quickly so I keep that in stock if I am expecting to not consume it as fast.

Hi, thanks for sharing this review. This is very interesting! However, maybe next time to make it a little bit scientific, you may consider the ff:
    1. Clean your palate by drinking water in between tasting of products.
    2. Try Blind tasting to minimize being biased with the initial impression like the brand, color, aroma etc.
    3. Put equal amount of milk & coffee for better comparison. I just saw some milk poured more than the other products. A few milligrams will have a bigger impact on the overall taste.
    4. Maybe asking the preference of the evaluator before the tasting to better understand his/her liking. Whether he/she likes her coffee creamy or to the coffee dark side. Of course the coffee creamy drinkers would like their product maybe more dairy, buttery, creamy, lactonic, thicker mouthfeel etc.
Anyway, i really enjoyed the video. Very interesting! I hope you could share more videos like this.
My request, please try the comparison on different powdered creamers next. And also different milks like evaporated vs condensed vs almonds milk etc.

Arla for me is the best, not too sweet or too sour. Perfect taste, and it does not overpower the coffee. What I do not like most is Nestle, it does not blend with my plain iced coffee taste. Its ok for me if Arla received quite low rating, hoping for lower demand =) , so that suppliers will roll back prices hahaha. Seriously, we tried jolly cow, jersey, emborg and arla, but for me, arla tastes very much true to real fresh milk, (cowhead is still better but we need to consider the cost).
Arla works well for our Hot coffee and hot choco drinks. Our customers aslo like our iced cappuccino, iced caramel macchiato and iced latte, and we're using Arla. The sweetness can also be the factor why some people didn't like it, because Arla is least sweet than other fresh milk brands
There some fresh milk that evap-y taste into it, that's is not the taste I want.
Another brand, worth to try is Lactel, though there is some aftertaste or texture that I dont like.

ive always used the nestle fresh milks and sometimes selecta then i tried emborg, and i cant tell the difference lmao, i think selecta fresh milks have a bit of distinctive tastes

The blue arla tastes better than the green one in my opinion. I was disappointed because green is my favorite milk but it isn't good with coffee

Best milk picks are the ones from France, Australia and New Zealand.

I would add the Netherlands... completely agree. Unfortunately, in our part of the world some are not accessible nor affordable.

Arla is really a disappointment for us, too. I used to buy so much Emborg years ago that cashiers would ask if I was reselling. Nope, just a mom of 3 milk-chugging kids. Next to Emborg for us is Devondale.
