Great advice mate I have an aerated bottom drain an extra air disc a shower and the main filter on my pond plus a pergola to give the shade 😎 wit a polycarbonate roof.Your advice should be taken seriously for new pond keepers a massive well done.👍👍💯💯💯💯

Filter defo needs to be 24/7,
In extreme heat I'd also run water features 24 hrs

heres a tip use a cheap spillway connected to a pump to add oxygen into the water.
