I heard this live at Tampere, Finland this April. One of my favorite concert experiences.
This is some of the most immersive music I've ever heard
What an incredibly immersive and powerful piece that flows so naturally and with so much motion! The textures are fascinating, the themes evocative, the emotions raw and inspiring... Phenomenal performance by the wonderful musicians too! We're so blessed to be able to hear this online.
(I'm blown away... A surrealistic journey that really gets under your skin. I especially liked the part "Polarity". Many, many thanks to the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Nahre Sol, through whom I came across Anna's music.)
Danke ❤️
I loved it. Beautiful composition, at the same time evocative, suggestive, melancholic, inspiring, and at times, threatening... The choreography is very appropriate, it enriches and illustrates the musical experience... I really liked and enjoy it. Amazing concert hall. Thank you very much Elbphilarmonie Hamburg for sharing this music. José Luis from Buenos Aires city...
Thank you! 🎶✨
Gorgeous
Great new piece by Anna! Can’t wait to have a recording come out.
This is honestly an amazing soundscape! The textures are fantastic.
I love the idea of video clips for contemporary pieces. It's astonishing!
Let be say up front, I am nobody and with no formal musical training, so my opinion is an ignorant one. But I was moved by this just the same.
‘Catamorphisis’ is beautiful storytelling. This amalgamation of music, videography, movement and architecture made it a unique and enchanting experience. I’d only recently been introduced to the exquisite architecture of the Elbphilharmonie by Nahre Sol’s channel and to this piece by a link from her. I listened three times. Once as a complete video, then again with eyes closed to enjoy just that part. And then once again with sound off to bask in the purely visual. Thank you to Anna, the musicians, the conductor, the dancers, the architects, the videographers and everyone else who had a part in creating this piece. And to Nahre for open the door and inviting us in.
Not an ignorant opinion at all! Thank you very much!
Großartig!
Outstanding!
This music is the soundtrack to our era on this planet. I hope we are listening.
Beautifully said
This would make a great soundtrack to a Scandinavian Netflix series or something.. it's atmospheric and wonderfully orchestrated, with effective use of extended instrumental techniques, but I couldn't help thinking: where is the actual musical material? It's mostly a slow-moving ambient soundscape, like they compose a lot in Europe (see G.F. Haas for instance): skillfully made - that has to be said, but to me ears lacking any truly memorable or distinctive musical material.
What a fantastic music 🌳
wow!
The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra played this last night and it was hauntingly gorgeous❤
It fucking moves my neck 360 degrees.
It did the same to us!
@@ElbphilharmonieHamburg That's interesting. Maybe it activates a part of brain area for movement.
Make me into a cat Anna!
there was a terrific rush of wind and a noise like thunder. the biggest thing that ever was. ugly and beautiful. it was like a pillar of fire. i thought an airplane had crashed into the sun.
The video clips were very distracting, as silly as pop music videos, since MTV....I do not want to be told what to visualize when I listen to music...the orchestra is enough.
you can just not look
But then, I think this about almost all "Music Videos", since MTV was invented--I do not need, or want "visualizations," but do love to watch orchestras at work. As Laurie Anderson said, when asked by an interviewer to explain her music..."Words? About music? Wait, let me show you my dance about architecture..."@@lear6230
