Keep in mind folks if that pipe was vertical and you did a cone wrap you wouldn't want to weld the base first. You would want to use the actual pipe to weld the vertical lap first, or else you will end up welding the vertical lap while it is floating and will melt or void
Sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I love any tips you can offer me!
@Cory Israel i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
So this wrap only works with cones 5”in diameter or smaller in less you have a 10’ piece of unsupported laying around somewhere because 6” and up you end up way short.
Listen to his video really well and you’ll hear how he says that whenever you doing a field wrap. Make sure you use field membrane. We know he’s using unsupported right now. But the reason he’s doing that is it’s easier to show it in a video then the proper way. But on your target piece it’s easier to use unsupported because it will turn better than a field membrane which has string between the layers which prevents a turnup or stretching.
he said two piece because if the pipe was connected you could not slide it over. Thats why you use a single target and make a circle smaller then the pipe and then make a single relief cut to the hole in the middle. use a 4 inch strip to cover the cut. easier then 2 piece. The part i dont see working is with a cone shape pipe without bending the top over to hold the clamp it will just slide off the boot. LIke nikey said it should be 1 1/2 weld not 1/2 on the weld. www.jm.com/content/dam/jm/global/en/commercial-roofing/Flashing%20Details/Single%20Ply/JM%20TPO%20details/T-DV-02.pdf
Duro-Last is one of the worst membranes out. Not hating, you sound like you know your stuff but, with all their issues and the EPA's impending ban on PVC membranes it's junk.
This guy know what hes doing! nice trick to cut a piece with the exact dimensions to wrap the cone avoiding wrinkles
Thank you bro I always wrapped these in two pieces I got it now

@Cory Israel It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out :D
@Izaiah Tyler happy to help :D
I thought that target had to be supported membrane ? Not non supported
I'm. With. You. Cover. The. Plates. With. Regular. Material. Then. In. Support. Or. Grab. A. Broom. Lol
This!
All these foreman are doing it differently now days...but usually your right...anything on the field gets field membrane
So this wrap only works with cones 5”in diameter or smaller in less you have a 10’ piece of unsupported laying around somewhere because 6” and up you end up way short.
They got unsecured and 2 foot rolls
This is really good
if you use glue on the cone it turns out better.
Good job!
i don't know about ya'll, but i always try weld metal together...even if they are dissimilar
Very well explained detail thanks.
I would make my Target out of field material and it would still have theinch going up the pipe before I feild wrapped it
Should be 1" 1/2 on lap to weld properly (bottom lap)
Not on a pipe
That's just my opinion!
In stead of putting two pieces why not get one big patch and cut hole in the middle and pull it over the pipe. less time
Robert Sanchez he's installing it as if it's not new construction. otherwise yes make a diaper cut it short

Why are you using detail membrane for target patch? Your inspector always makes me use field membrane my opinion not so good of a trainer
Thank you...

That should of had been one detail pipe A target on top of that then the part that you’re doing in the end nd it has to be 2 inches lab in bottom
why add 2 when you double diameter?
MrBiged1968 to give you a lap to Weld
For the lap
Lol everything is actually decent, except the fact he didn’t strip the two seems on the horseshoe target patch before welding pipe wrap.
I think he used unsupported for the target
First time Rooting 😂😂

Great video but Id rather just buy the TPO boot from flashco for 30 bucks.
Y un día de estos grabo un video para que mires como se ase mucho mejor y mas fácil y no nomas de eso otras cosas que no en señaste
Omar Hernandez ya?
Como le haces tu compa
Omar Hernandez can u say it in English
Yo los hago de esta manera también tu cómo le hases Omar Hernández
No entendes el motivo del porque lo hizo en 2 piezas? Vos solo hablas y nada de nada... bocon
Get some better scissors but nice work!

YOU SHOULD BE WEAR GLOVES AT ALL TIMES
Damn you took too long to do this plus one piece target should do the job just fine...
All that for one penetration when you can get one 7,8 inch flashing from duro-last and install it faster and better and cut all extra work out!
But then you would have to deal with all the crap Durolast puts you through just to buy membrane.
Not to mention how expensive the material is, especially the pre made flashings.
Duracrap
This video tells me JM is hard up for help. Red flags everywhere in this video.
Him dont know bout that lol i make more fast with one piece only😂
Sorry buddy. That's all wrong.
Rookie
That's why duro-last is better!
Robert Sanchez dura crap lol
Duralast is crap

Durolast is for taco bells it's not fm a proved for large roofs. Also it's shit and cracks after a couple years. Non union crap
Johns Manville was roofing the world while Durolast was still wetting the bed. Nothing but hype.
