long time viewer here, we found one of these on the beach as a kid and my dad and I cruised that thing all around the puget sound. so much fun. always wanted one as an adult. This video series was the final push I needed! literally just got back from the first voyage. 14.1 bris boat with a 20 hp tohatsu. Awesome! Im so excited to be back on the water again, I feel like a kid haha Thanks for the great content nutn
The most impressive RIB I ever had the pleasure to drive was the old discontinued Sea Doo Explorer. Think of a PWC with an inflatable tube around it. There was room to seat 5 with two motocycle style, two each side rear. Deep V shape had good shock absorbing in shop and if only using the motorcycle style seat I could easily handle 4-5 foot chop in complete stability using your legs to absorb the shock. Draft once on plane was only inches because of the jet drive. Fuel milage was much better than I expected since it planed with the tube out of the water. This was many years ago but it really impressed me.

Looking @ the mk3 on the Zodiac website and they refer to removable cushioning buoyancy tubes. Is that what you are referring to as the speed tubes? Are yours removable?
It's sooo loud, I can't hear anything over the audio of those clips you have playing over you're voice. Its on a different channel then you're vocals so couldn't you turn the screaming boat motor down a notch? Thank you. Long time in the project. Much love from Oregon
Just because it's not being taken down doesn't mean it never will be. Our original zodiac stayed with us through some moves and being able to collapse it is nice if you don't know where you'll be livin' for a few months. We shopped around for a bunch of different types, conventional and inflatable, and stuck with this one. Who knows though, you still may see something further down the line like that, but there's a lot more to the Zodie than just being able to take it down that we like. -Doodle
Do you have or know of a good video review of the ATI shotgun folding stock? I have only found vids of people talking about them or installing them. Not a single video of someone run and gunning with one.

@nutnfacy what is the advantage of an inflatable if your not going to take down? Have you looked at a G3 or a smaller Carolina Skiff? Simple boats...

James Whitley There are virtues to inflatables besides their deflatability. You kinda have to use one in rough conditions to really get that.
