This martial art waqs popularised in the 90s world wide by Roys Gracie being sucesfull in ultimate fight competition. But, today, its MMA that is popular the most, as a eclectic aproach, evryone knows one must be totaly prepared for all circumstances, not just one thing, but, for my opinion, all these martial art schools are totaly exausting to me as non ever did ofer spirituality, i find it completly unacaptable to me. Boxing in my country and kickboxing these clubs are always filled with people who are very violent in behavior, problematic on streets, somethimes close to people who are involved in criminal etc. Even today, so many train even karate is being used i nbad way, when it use to be in 20century trained mainly by those who ware not like that agresive but today even that changed, or kickboxing and mhui thai not to mention. Anyways, realy mixed up picture of how these martial arts and clubs also serve for violent shalow minded and low moral people to get stronger and full of ego and prowd they are so stronger than others. Generaly it was always the rull that japanese martial arts clubs use to be filed with nicer individuals than those of boxing ware pure violence and non educated people. I personaly dont like competitions as its so filled with ego and proud and so on. I must say i only wiew shaolin kung fu as a way to tech or learn martial arts, as anything else always makes me feel tensed when i watch it or try it at home to practice a litle. I believe its cheaper to teach martial arts solely by teaching fighting and nothing else, you get so many in your club and your cool, but, i believe than its beer training at home all alone but do it properly, build up spirituality and knowledge also, and not envolve with those club owners who teach only fighting and you even get a black bealt at the end, even you practiced only fighting but no mind and moral and spirituality or knpwledge and socialisation testing etc. I knowmy aproach is diferent, but for me its clear that its completly right way and the only right way. anyways, you seam like youv been in to martial arts long, i mean your in to sports very well as i see, and even year and a half in jiujitsu, your movements ware like a pro, so i gues you know kung fu, or aikido or so before. Aikido is one of the rare martial arts that hasnt been abused by these kind of ego people, but unfortunatly, even it gathers beter people tan in any other martial art club, more kind and peaceful and more intelectual and not violent agresive, still i dont think one can benefit from aikido in defence no mater what, its simply unposible thing, im completly convinced.

I agree that we should practice our physicality along with our spirituality. Thanks for sharing!
