I found your transit system so good when I was there. If you are patient you can pretty much catch buses to lots of little places in Brittany. The fares were so inexpensive and someone else did the driving so no getting lost. The buses were like coach buses not city buses so comfortable and spacious. Tickets could be bought right on the bus as well. If you are travelling in this area I highly recommend you give them a try. They seemed very under utilized.

It looks lovely with all the new spring growth. My house is built on a disused railway track (part of the Beeching axe in the 60s) and the old village station is now converted into a private house. The old platform is still there too! Much of the old line is now a footpath and a lovely wooded walk which we amble along with our dog especially in summer when it’s lovely and cool. Some of the best things in life don’t cost you a penny!!

What a wonderful walk this week. We're experiencing a really cold and rainy spring in the Pacific Northwest 🌧 So it's wonderful to see France. Spring is my favorite time of year, but this year it feels like February 🥶

It's so lovely to see the countryside and blue skies. I try to identify the different trees as they are so verdant and different to our native vegetation. I also enjoy reading the signage as I haven't had the opportunity to use my childhood French for over 20 years. It's amazing how much I can recall and how much I have forgotten.

Lovely places , the both of them . On the sign next to’the menhir it’s written that infertile women were supposed to rub their belly onto the menhir and might thus conceive ....🙂

If they are anything like my dogs after they come in from a nice outing they need a nice long nap to refresh themselves. You certainly live in a beautiful place Jane and Mike!

Beautiful! We have a disused railway near us, called Forest Way, which is lovely to walk along and also includes a couple of stations (think they are now houses). Much smaller scale though and gets so busy when the sun's out, so we tend to use sections of it and then cut across the fields/hills on the adjoining footpaths. Your comment about the open gate made me laugh. I got my OH to stop the other day as I thought the gate to our local sheep field had been left open; turned out there was a thin double line of electric fencing which I couldn't see at first glance.
Lovely video - Mike and Jane 🤗 It was lovely to see the old railway station an the standing stone. Would enjoy seeing more of Brittany 😍 So beautiful with all the trees! We have a lot of rail trails here in Ontario Canada and we love hiking and biking on them.

With the UK getting worse, France is looking more attractive for retired folks who value a more peaceful and quiet life..sell their 2 up 2 down and buy one in Brittany and have a full bank account...why wouldn't you!!!.❤️🇬🇧🇫🇷
