Another Psych Nurse here and i agree. Somatic complaints are often a side effect of multiple mental health ailments. That doesnt devalue them in any way- they are very real to those that suffer from them!

My request is that you put your health first. I am chronically ill, and I used to feel guilty for not living up to people's expectations. But. then I found out that my true friends and family care more about me than whether or not I am up to leaving the house. My second request is that you find doctors who are specialists. They can run more specific tests to find out what's going on and how they can help you. Take one day at a time, and try not to worry about something in the future. There is only so much you can control. What helps me is to write a detailed schedule for the week. Also, put a pad and pencil on your beside table so if you wake up in the middle of the night, you can jot down what is on your mind!! We all love you!
Anxiety directly affects your gut. I know you've complained about stomach issues before but it seems 100% related - anxiety causes stomach issues. Are you seeing a therapist? I think I remember you going to doctors to see what's wrong with your stomach and not finding answers but you definitely need to see someone to help your anxiety and you'll find that your stomach pains will get better once you are taking care of your anxiety. I went through it for literal years before I finally got myself a therapist and started taking medication for it. I used to be terrified to leave the house because I always worried about my stomach issues, and now its not an issue. Even if you can't leave the house, there are options for finding a therapist online - not just a counselor, but a real medical doctor who can help you and talk through your issues.
I have this issue 100%, I relate so hard, and the one thing I was thinking was, ‘it may not be convenient for others, but if you do things at your own pace- with the schedule and running your business- then you will be in better place, and that’s worth it.’ ♥️ sending you peace!

I know someone has probably recommended this to you before, but I deal with a lot of bloating and stomach pains from my anxiety and I’ve found that shots of Apple Cider Vinegar helps balance my stomaches ph level and has dramatically helped my issues. I’m not really in to holistic remedies and I’m a huge believer in science, but this worked for me.
HonestlyKyle really? That is insane. I take some every morning but it has to be diluted in a glass of water. The only way I can drink it is by holding my nose. If I smell the stuff... instant nausea. I can’t stand the taste or smell. But it is really good for you.

I normally don't comment things like this, but I understand anxiety and stress, so I want to give my support. I will admit that yes, I am disappointed when you don't upload (I like your content and I am human), but I understand that you are human too. Just like I am sure that you understand that we as supporters may not have the time want to watch every single video you upload or buy all of your collabs and products and that is okay because its life we are talking about here. What you do is a full-time job, whether people realize it or not. Which means that you have to get up every day and manage yourself, your time, and that is a lot of pressure. If you worked a typical 9-5 job, your job is planned, its routine, companies have contingencies set for when things don't go as plan, like sick days and employee compensation. However, when you work for yourself that's not an option. If you get sick or get hurt, you may have to miss uploads, yes you can have thing pre-recorded but there comes a point where life happens. Especially since KL Polish is expanding. (Congratulations on KL Polish period!) You built your career off of nothing but your brain, a video recording device, the internet, and a little makeup, doesn't matter if you have a manager, or other "people" now, at one point in time it was you and you alone doing it all... Which I for one have MAD respect for!!!!! But not everyone thinks like me, those people that try and pick you apart will always be around. (which is very sad but nothing either one of us can do) I along with your millions of other supporters that watch and like as many videos as we can, would much rather you be healthy and happy rather than miserable. So, go pet your dogs, call Amelia, give Danny a hug and relax, (that's what I do when I have anxiety) and try not to worry about the people who don't understand because of they aren't true members of your family. I might be the only one, but I don't really follow youtubers schedules. In the sense that I truly never know if they missed an upload or have been gone for awhile. Like I love Kathleen don't get me wrong, but I have other youtubers I follow and there's always something in my feed to watch, usually a back log of a couple days. Kathleen, you are too stressed. Take the break. You shouldn't have to feel upset about uploading or guilty about not uploading. You need to take care of you. And I promise most of us understand and know that. Anxiety and body issues at the same time is a lot to deal with. Especially when you will be doing stuff that pushes your comfort zone and triggers that anxiety. None of us want you to force yourself to make videos you aren't proud of. And we definitely don't want you to feel anxious when you are making them. TH-cam should be your place to destress. If it stresses you out in a negative manner, like you discribed it, then you need to wait until you feel better. We still love you. Even if you upload once a week or once a month. Take care of you and hang in there Mama.

I’m pretty sure you won’t see this Kathleen, but for anyone else with general stomach “badness”, get yourself some Iberogast drops. Adults just need 20 drops and the bottle lasts a long time. It is not homeopathy, it’s proven bitter herbs that work on so many issues. It’s been used in Europe for decades and decades. I have a really awful stomach condition called gastroparesis and often, despite having the strongest medication doctors can prescribe for his condition, it’s Iberogast that helps me most. It’s so safe, small children can take it but holy, does it work. Look it up online and then get yo-self some because sometimes (oftentimes) it helps when nothing else will. :)

I had stomach problems like crazy for a straight year, and it wasn't until I got my anxiety/depression under control that they really subsided. Stomach pains/throwing up can be a way that your body naturally copes with the anxiety, so finding other coping mechanisms can help alleviate that. Do whatever it is you need to take care of yourself!!!!

I'm 37 years old and I've dealt with anxiety just like yours most of my life. Best advice I can give you--- find a good therapist who can teach you coping skills to function with anxiety, and an anti-anxiety med, like citalopram or Lexapro, is life-changing. Both go hand in hand, and once you do the work on yourself, you will be able to have a "normal" life. Therapy, for me, has taught me so much about where my anxiety stems from and how to live with it. Kathleen have you ever tried testing for food intolerance. Gluten can be a cause for stomach pain and triggers for IBS. Hope you find answers I know how hard it is to have anxiety and suffer with stomach issues. Anxiety also triggers stomach problems. Love you Kathleen hope you get well soon😙😙
Also, most cases of endometriosis are mis-diagnosed as IBS before they are diagnosed properly. So if anyone has been diagnosed with IBS, pleeeaaase ask your doctor to specifically check for endometriosis!
I was just going to comment this! I was feeling very similar to this for a long time & turns out I have Celiac. The gluten thing isn't just a fad! It might be a good idea to get tested even if you don't have the major symptoms.

Kathleen, in a regular job you have sick days or personal days. Don’t treat this any different than that. Just because you’re on TH-cam does not mean you can’t have days off. Keep working hard. Those who love you will understand.
Kathleen, have you ever been to therapy? There are so many people who would love to be able to go to therapy but will not ever be able to afford it. You should consider taking advantage of your blessings and investing in treatment that will give you the tools to deal with your anxiety. Whatever you are doing now is clearly not working, so why not take a chance that might change your life.
YESSSS like i feel she talks so much about her anxiety but i don’t see her doing much about it? or at least she hasn’t told us what she does cause first, she consumes caffeine and that can increase anxiety. i feel like that’s something she should cut out as well. but seriously though she needs to seek out help.

In Miami, there’s kind of a big stigma around therapy and the types of people that go. I️t sucks, but I️ imagine Kathleen might have to deal with some of those judgments from people. It’s frustrating beyond belief and I️ really want that culture to change, but as someone who lives there, I’m not sure if it will anytime soon.
Also, not for Kathleen in particular, but medication can make a huge difference for anxiety (speaking from experience). Not the right choice for everyone, but important for people to not discount it if they are really struggling.

Just be you ! That stuff is REAL , avoiding things doesn’t make them less real we see it anyway , we care about you . I’ve had anxiety n what helped me was freeing my mind , I stopped thinking I was a burden or my anxiety was a burden to others because that just made me feel worst instead I lived my truth out ! And that’s just another fear I got past . Having anxiety is like your own mind being in prisoned in your own head . Free yourself one step at a time 🌸 I believe you can get through it 💪🏾 and you will see brighter days .

I know you prefer to be more private, but it might help you to talk about some of these struggles more in depth and here from your subscribers about how we deal with anxiety and mysterious stomach problems too (I certainly do and it has forced me to go on hiatus from school). I have a similar situation with the stomach pains/anxiety. The anxiety makes the pain worse, the pain makes the anxiety worse. It’s tough to deal with, but you need to make sure you take care of yourself! At the end of the day, our health is all we have ❤️😘

I suffer from anxiety too, so I understand completely how you are feeling. People that have never had anxiety don’t understand it and they can’t see what the problem is and that is so annoying! Please take the time you need and try not to worry about us, we will still be here because we love you!
I was dealing with stomach problems for about 3/4 years without knowing what it was, which brought on a lot of anxiety with not knowing how you would feel so I understand how it’s stressful! Keep trying different stuff (restrictive diets to see what causes pains) and take time for yourself! When your mind is off your stomach will be and vise versa so take time for you, sending lots of love!!!!

Health is THE MOST important thing out there! Mental and physical health. I love that you are open with us and realistic, I know I really appreciate it!! I suffer from gastroparesis and cyclical vomiting syndrome, so I completely get that tummy troubles can really effect anxiety and day to day activities. Hang in there Kathleen! If you don't see a therapist, start seeing one, and look for one who does CBT and/or ACT (they're very effective therapies for anxiety). Don't be afraid of taking meds for a bit (or longer) if that is recommended because meds can make it easier to effectively use what you learn and practice in therapy, that's how it has been for me. And make sure you are totally comfortable with your therapist and/or psychiatrist because it is so much easier to get better when you and your team are on the same page and totally comfortable with each other (I have the best psychologist and psychiatrist and they have been so instrumental in my growth and success). Also if they stomach problems don't go away, see a gastroenterologist if you haven't already (or a different one if you are getting no where). Anxiety can exacerbate a lot of stomach issues, but sometimes there is more than just anxiety causing the pain.

I used to be terrified to leave the house because I always worried about my stomach issues, and now its not an issue.
Even if you can't leave the house, there are options for finding a therapist online - not just a counselor, but a real medical doctor who can help you and talk through your issues.

I know someone has probably recommended this to you before, but I deal with a lot of bloating and stomach pains from my anxiety and I’ve found that shots of Apple Cider Vinegar helps balance my stomaches ph level and has dramatically helped my issues. I’m not really in to holistic remedies and I’m a huge believer in science, but this worked for me.

HonestlyKyle really? That is insane. I take some every morning but it has to be diluted in a glass of water. The only way I can drink it is by holding my nose. If I smell the stuff... instant nausea. I can’t stand the taste or smell. But it is really good for you.

Kathleen do what you need to do to take care of yourself! I normally don't comment things like this, but I understand anxiety and stress, so I want to give my support. I will admit that yes, I am disappointed when you don't upload (I like your content and I am human), but I understand that you are human too. Just like I am sure that you understand that we as supporters may not have the time want to watch every single video you upload or buy all of your collabs and products and that is okay because its life we are talking about here.
What you do is a full-time job, whether people realize it or not. Which means that you have to get up every day and manage yourself, your time, and that is a lot of pressure. If you worked a typical 9-5 job, your job is planned, its routine, companies have contingencies set for when things don't go as plan, like sick days and employee compensation. However, when you work for yourself that's not an option. If you get sick or get hurt, you may have to miss uploads, yes you can have thing pre-recorded but there comes a point where life happens. Especially since KL Polish is expanding. (Congratulations on KL Polish period!)
You built your career off of nothing but your brain, a video recording device, the internet, and a little makeup, doesn't matter if you have a manager, or other "people" now, at one point in time it was you and you alone doing it all... Which I for one have MAD respect for!!!!! But not everyone thinks like me, those people that try and pick you apart will always be around. (which is very sad but nothing either one of us can do)
I along with your millions of other supporters that watch and like as many videos as we can, would much rather you be healthy and happy rather than miserable. So, go pet your dogs, call Amelia, give Danny a hug and relax, (that's what I do when I have anxiety) and try not to worry about the people who don't understand because of they aren't true members of your family. I might be the only one, but I don't really follow youtubers schedules. In the sense that I truly never know if they missed an upload or have been gone for awhile. Like I love Kathleen don't get me wrong, but I have other youtubers I follow and there's always something in my feed to watch, usually a back log of a couple days. I just don't get why people are pressing youtubers about uploads. Like is that the only person you follow?

Anxiety and body issues at the same time is a lot to deal with. Especially when you will be doing stuff that pushes your comfort zone and triggers that anxiety. None of us want you to force yourself to make videos you aren't proud of. And we definitely don't want you to feel anxious when you are making them. TH-cam should be your place to destress. If it stresses you out in a negative manner, like you discribed it, then you need to wait until you feel better. We still love you. Even if you upload once a week or once a month. Take care of you and hang in there Mama.

I’m pretty sure you won’t see this Kathleen, but for anyone else with general stomach “badness”, get yourself some Iberogast drops. Adults just need 20 drops and the bottle lasts a long time. It is not homeopathy, it’s proven bitter herbs that work on so many issues. It’s been used in Europe for decades and decades. I have a really awful stomach condition called gastroparesis and often, despite having the strongest medication doctors can prescribe for his condition, it’s Iberogast that helps me most. It’s so safe, small children can take it but holy, does it work. Look it up online and then get yo-self some because sometimes (oftentimes) it helps when nothing else will. :)

I had stomach problems like crazy for a straight year, and it wasn't until I got my anxiety/depression under control that they really subsided. Stomach pains/throwing up can be a way that your body naturally copes with the anxiety, so finding other coping mechanisms can help alleviate that. Do whatever it is you need to take care of yourself!!!!

I'm 37 years old and I've dealt with anxiety just like yours most of my life. Best advice I can give you--- find a good therapist who can teach you coping skills to function with anxiety, and an anti-anxiety med, like citalopram or Lexapro, is life-changing. Both go hand in hand, and once you do the work on yourself, you will be able to have a "normal" life. Therapy, for me, has taught me so much about where my anxiety stems from and how to live with it. I was just going to comment this! I was feeling very similar to this for a long time & turns out I have Celiac. The gluten thing isn't just a fad! It might be a good idea to get tested even if you don't have the major symptoms.

Kathleen, have you ever been to therapy? There are so many people who would love to be able to go to therapy but will not ever be able to afford it. You should consider taking advantage of your blessings and investing in treatment that will give you the tools to deal with your anxiety. Whatever you are doing now is clearly not working, so why not take a chance that might change your life.
YESSSS like i feel she talks so much about her anxiety but i don’t see her doing much about it? or at least she hasn’t told us what she does cause first, she consumes caffeine and that can increase anxiety. i feel like that’s something she should cut out as well. but seriously though she needs to seek out help.

In Miami, there’s kind of a big stigma around therapy and the types of people that go. I️t sucks, but I️ imagine Kathleen might have to deal with some of those judgments from people. It’s frustrating beyond belief and I️ really want that culture to change, but as someone who lives there, I’m not sure if it will anytime soon.
Also, not for Kathleen in particular, but medication can make a huge difference for anxiety (speaking from experience). Not the right choice for everyone, but important for people to not discount it if they are really struggling.

I'd actually love to see a video on anxiety update, how you try and cope with it, if you go to a therapist or not etc. I study Psychology and I myself struggle with anxiety a lot, and your videos make my day. Just be you ! That stuff is REAL , avoiding things doesn’t make them less real we see it anyway , we care about you . I’ve had anxiety n what helped me was freeing my mind , I stopped thinking I was a burden or my anxiety was a burden to others because that just made me feel worst instead I lived my truth out ! And that’s just another fear I got past . Having anxiety is like your own mind being in prisoned in your own head . I have a similar situation with the stomach pains/anxiety. The anxiety makes the pain worse, the pain makes the anxiety worse. It’s tough to deal with, but you need to make sure you take care of yourself! At the end of the day, our health is all we have ❤️😘

I was dealing with stomach problems for about 3/4 years without knowing what it was, which brought on a lot of anxiety with not knowing how you would feel so I understand how it’s stressful! Keep trying different stuff (restrictive diets to see what causes pains) and take time for yourself! When your mind is off your stomach will be and vise versa so take time for you, sending lots of love!!!!

I suffer from gastroparesis and cyclical vomiting syndrome, so I completely get that tummy troubles can really effect anxiety and day to day activities. Hang in there Kathleen! We all love you so much!!💕💕💕💕
If you don't see a therapist, start seeing one, and look for one who does CBT and/or ACT (they're very effective therapies for anxiety). Don't be afraid of taking meds for a bit (or longer) if that is recommended because meds can make it easier to effectively use what you learn and practice in therapy, that's how it has been for me. And make sure you are totally comfortable with your therapist and/or psychiatrist because it is so much easier to get better when you and your team are on the same page and totally comfortable with each other (I have the best psychologist and psychiatrist and they have been so instrumental in my growth and success). Also if they stomach problems don't go away, see a gastroenterologist if you haven't already (or a different one if you are getting no where). Anxiety can exacerbate a lot of stomach issues, but sometimes there is more than just anxiety causing the pain.
