Incredable technic! Very smooth. I love how good she release progresively the edges at the end of the turn with maintaining the direction with the skis and a very stable upper body. No up and down from the center of mass... beautifull. The queen of slalom.

I like the strict Osmo, you can really see what's going on from the waist down. I haven't tried slo-mo yet but I would have loved seeing Shiffren at ground level in slo-mo
My favorite video but still but...😀, in my style the hand does not go down in the turn, the hand is always in the basic position and helps to keep the weight down the hill and the result is a faster turn, but....😃
Beautiful, man. It is amazing that even though she is going through gates she appears to accelerating away from you. Probably you had the brakes on but I bet that even bombing behind her you weren't sand bagging very much. You must have been feeling the thrill of being dusted by a World Champion. Say "yes".
Hey- I'm using a feiyu tech gimbal, gopro hero 3+ camera, and extensions for the gimbal. There are alot of similar setups and options, but this one really works for ski racing and what I'm doing.
I've run slalom on the same hill as Mikaela did here. I could only dream that I'm as fluid as she is. She is smoother and more in touch with her skis than Marcel. Hirscher has a few strength moves than she doesn't have, but he sometimes overpowers the snow. Skiers like Holdener and the rest of the women's field are stuck with old excessive vertical movements and A-frames. Technique wise, Mikaela is better than anyone, but Hirscher would probably win 75% of matchups with her due to his strength moves coming into play on portions of the slalom hill.
We've tried both here at Loveland. Check out my other vid with Lila Lapanja - I used a DJI Osmo at eye level. For coaching purposes, we like the overhead angle more due to its perspective on line within a course. Thanks for the suggestion!
Yeah I guess I just like seeing more of what's going on from the waist down but the high vantage point does let you see the turn radius and anticipation better.

Was that Switchback? I've run slalom on that hill, but it didn't even look like the same sport as when Mikaela did it!
