twiceborn is very good on your marshmasters and it's in enchantment so you'll get it before you even get foul vapors, of course you can't spend all your gems on that but it does reduce upkeep when they become wight mages.
25:21 omg Mu finally wants to love books?! How old can lizards get before hitting old age? Would Burden of Time be at all viable for C'tis? Never a good sign when Editor Mu says we "shouldn't have high hopes." Let's hope this time Game Mu can break the C'tis C'turse!
I think the doggo 🐶 might be a deterrent against anyone who uses one or a few strong/expensive troops to rush C'tis before the poison/miasma/skellies gets to potent. Weaker troops can usually be taken care of with skellies.
0:05 Welcome to Dominion sick too, mu! Playing a sick nation I see. XD 6:08 I think units with swamp-survival are also immune? So taking the swamp-survival bless would allow you to make indy and summoned mages immune to the disease effect. 9:55 I think it's 10% rounded up, so yeah it should be 2 hp a turn. 10:50 The one big issue is that you don't have a good recruitable commander for magical beings. Coatls are the best, but those require quite a bit of research. 13:45 There is Twiceborn, much cheaper than Lich. 22:17 The Heavy Infantry is slower than the Sobeks, so those will not stay in formation well. 24:00 One interesting spell that C'tis has a really good time with as well is Quagmire. At least if you get up to Water 4. It doesn't affect any of your units, is a mini Rigor Mortis and slows down the enemy so your units can chase down fleeing enemies better as well. 32:55 Oh, Misfortune. Hope you don't regret that. Definitely a fun idea with your pretender choice.
C'tis troops may not be great for expansion but the elite warriors go crazy with buffs. The dual swords guys too. Regen + Wood Skin makes them tough enough and Quickness makes them real blenders.
Looking forward to this, MA C'tis is thematically one of my favorite nations. That said, i do have a question. Are you familiar with the Spark of Divnity mod? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Personally i've found it a very interesting way to spice things up, allowing further variety in how to play the different nations beyond the archetypical pretender types like expanders, defenders and rainbows. ...It's a lot of fun playing a werewolf god that causes every werewolf summoned with Call of the Wild to turn into a mage-priest, for example. Though i suppose balance might be a bit of an issue with a mod that has such powerful modifiers. Hell speaking of C'tis, there's a god in the mod that allows you to recruit Sobeks, including the sacred variant, all over the place iirc.
Very excited for this series and your channel in general! Was reccomended from the subreddit and given my GF wanted to learn Ctis for their empoisoners and sobek guards, I couldn't be happier to see a series on MA Ctis :3
I tried Runners in an EA C'tis playthrough, but they drew archer fire like crazy due to their protection. They'd be much better for 9-10 gold, but I'm curious to see how your experience goes.
@@itsmuI really like your own pretender, you've got a simple plan to get ahead in research with clear research targets. It's cool your wanting to try a different play style and I'm glad indies are toned down for the game as in your testing stream and for me personally indie troop numbers are too high and slows down expansion.
Nice titan, going big astral makes it always relevant for late game. I'd probably drop dominion to 5 and go death 2 while bumping up luck to 3. Luck 3 is seriously nuts in Dom6 while death is very mild compared to Dom5. Not only death would be reliably tough on attackers supplies trying to move bigger force through your swamps without survival (and you can make endless bag of wine as needed) you can always increase dominion by getting more temples up. You only want want Sobek Sacred Guard and mages from sacred points anyways. With order2 prod2 death2 luck3 magic3 you have access to majority of the best events in the game. It's raining gold, gems, items and joining units/mages (including things like bane with wights due to death scales). Thousands of gold flying at you within first year. And you can even fix death on cap pretty quickly with mother oak. Getting con5 for thistle mace and alt5 with magic scales is a breeze. And bit later of course Well of Misery does it for all provinces.
I think your build makes sense! Though, isn't turning provinces into swamp bad for you as the pop will flee and you'll have less growth? I imagine that building the poisoneers from your cap makes sense, it's another threat vector you can't easily get elsewhere.
28:15 I don't think Growth works out to be super great - when your lands transform into swamps they will have their maximum population lowered and I think they'll mostly end up near their capacity even without Growth. Tho obviously the % impact on income still matters
Unbothered. Moisturized. Happy. In My Dominion. Focused. Flourishing. 🐸
hey mu love ur videos. editing is always on point. keep on keeping
Elite Warriors my beloved
Oh boy, book tower games can be very cool.

Hooray, lizards! These guys are pretty strong. That miasma can be really hard to deal with.

Loved the wet and muddy pre-intro music. Good choice. Now let’s get in with the actual intro video
Aw yeah, the lizard wizards!

Agree, but more for the other ages. In MA whatever a doggo could kill the sobeks could probably also kill
We conquering the bayou with this one boys.

At least in Dom5 giving units Swamp Survival wasn't enough, they needed to be cold-blooded. As I discovered to my chagrin when I played them

Good to know.
Though that means that the wiki is wrong.

New pretender name idea: "Would You Like To Know About My God?"
Giant anthro lizards ftw

The Sobek chassis seems like it'd be even stronger now that MA Ctis can swamp-ify places.

Wohoo my favorit miasma lizards 🦎
Also I'm over here dancing to the intro music like none other.
Hyped!

Wait wait wait, a Mu build that prioritizes research? I think I just saw a pig fly past my window!
Monster toads???
thanks! i can promise at least 1 monster toad in this series.

Question. Will the god get diseased in friendly dominion?
nope, your god and any sacred creatures are also immune.
Finally we're back in Middle Age where we belong!
Obviously the One True Way to play MA C'tis is with a Dom10 Pretender and become public enemy #1
What is the background music playing through most of the video?
there are a few, you'll have to give me a timestamp.
I thought it was going to be Pangaea 🧐
I guess $$$ from Mark Zuckerberg are more important than Dominions player integrity 😡😡😡
How is it feeling now that you hit middle age?
People use the Devourer because its pretty much the only good Expander C'tis has and C'tis isn't that great at expanding naturally
