Yeah just highlight that one paragraph and move the slider back to the position you want it in.

I have an image above a paragraph
I CANNOT center the image without centering the first line of the text.
Hence word sucks

To make this work, put your cursor between the image and the start of the text and press Enter to break that first line away from the image. Then you can click the image and choose the center alignment option.
