I was absolutely certain that the answer would have been the IRA vs Taliban episode. The buildup to that episode was the only time I ever heard the show being discussed out in the wild.
Honestly this is hella funny but also kinda scary that the ai knows how to bait and switch doug into a gottem moment, that is like peak twitch user behaviour meaning that its becoming more human
it's just Doug telling it to act mean, it's not AI doing something on its own. he tells the AI to act certain way and you can see it in his other videos/streams
The LLM looks at the full history before generating each token, so this bamboozle wasn't planned out from the start. you could say that once "mafia and Yakuza" appeared, the AI realized the discrepancy and then backpedaled.
@@malte291Exactly (though not literally "realized".) It's all weighted RNG tied to a database. That's how LLM works. It randomly said the wrong thing and then turned it into a joke.
Mafia vs. Yakuza? I’d have assumed it was either Green Berets vs. Spetsnaz since the USA’s side lost, or Vampires vs. Zombies since it was 100% fictional.
I remember the series and can’t say I would have picked that matchup, but then again not many of my friends watched it during that time so I didn’t have anyone to talk to about it.
Same, my guess was either Waffen SS vs Viet Cong (especially with the framing of that episode) or IRA vs Taliban. During Season 3 I'd routinely have watch parties with friends for the new episodes so I do look back fondly on that terrible dumpster fire of a show.
Technically wouldnt count because it was a "Famous Person" battle, but the Napoleon Bonaparte vs George Washington was absolute bullshit. Appart from a lot of "small" innacuracies during all the programm about how bonaparte behaved, they gave the victory to Washington for his "organizing skills" when he at most commanded like 20K soldiers when Bonaparte used to command 80K per battle.
I would have assumed it was Apaches vs Gladiators. I remember one of the Apache reps going "I don't know why we're talking about Gladiators having an advantage in a fair fight. You're not about to get that with an Apache." And typing that out now... isn't Apache an insult that stuck? I can see that as controversial. ...I looked it up. Turns out Apaches are actually A BUNCH of tribes that are closely related to the Navajo. And the name is either comes from the Zuni word for "Navajo," the Yavapal word for "Enemy," or a completely unrelated Spanish word from the Conquistadors. Nobody knows for sure anymore.
I thought it was going to be Spartans versus Ninja, because Ninja are not a head on attack force. Apparently what I am learning is this show was absolute bullshut.
This was a certified "GOTTEM" moment

@@thatguy5233even doug gets surprised by it though, at one point it even gives him a question that has no answer and he had no idea it could do that.

This was my favorite part.
The fact that the AI adjusts its voice higher as a PART OF ITS ARGUEMNT is so damn funny, and scary
I remember spartans vs both ninjas and samurais upsetting a lot of people.

I saw some people in chat who actually knew the answer. Some real ones right there.
