And his bloody defence had the GALL to state that pleading guilty was a sign of his bloody remorse.

How is it ''still unknown why he killed her''? The motive was as always , sexual, power, control and the killing is as much of a kick as the rape for psycho's like this.. 🙄

That's to do with his Defense.
Wife is already alluding to his extreme issues with depression........

Because all that stuff you said is pop psychology and this is the real world.

The only remorse this turd had was getting caught, if your lies are so good and believable to get an innocent young woman in a car, then how can any judge take him seriously when in the dock...

He reminds me of that Canadian Air Force colonel Russell Williams a few years ago. Same kind of thing, guy with a hidden sexual addiction has a midlife crisis and decides to become a serial killer instead of buying a sports car like normal people do. Luckily this one was caught before he killed more women.

This extraordinarily shocking case in the United Kingdom is somewhat reminiscent of a case from twenty-nine years ago in which a deputy sheriff of Harris County (Houston), TX egregiously violated his oath of duty when he murdered a woman 'under colour of authority' by obtaining an arrest warrant under patently false pretenses.

Ideally we want to know what the govt and the police have implemented to prevent other murders such as these in the future.

"If a man finds a young woman who is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are found out, then the man who lay with her shall give to the young woman’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife because he has humbled her; he shall not be permitted to divorce her all his days."
    (Deuteronomy 22:28-29)

If he dont talk and keeps refusing to explain , take him off pink wing and stick him in general population that should loosen his lips.

*Monsters are lurking EVERYWHERE. Not just in the Metropolitan Police or other police forces in the UK. They are everywhere. In November 1987, my then girlfriend, who was an undergraduate at North Staffordshire Polytechnic in England, was brutally raped by a fellow student. She had gone into the ladies toilet in the gymnasium on campus (at around 4 pm) and as she was about to come out of the toilet, she was pounced upon by someone whom she did not know. Later that night, she phoned me (I was attending a university in London at the time), sobbing hysterically and explained what had happened. I strongly urged her to call her parents and the Police. She told me that she could not do so as she was embarrassed about what had happened to her and wanted to keep the whole thing quiet. She also swore me to secrecy. Two weeks later, during a break, I visited my girlfriend (she lived in a hall of residence on campus) and I became aware straight away that she was not her usual cheery self but had become sullen and depressed. I again advised her to tell her parents and the Police. Again, she refused.*
*A few weeks later, my ex-girlfriend saw her rapist in the polytechnic's Students' Union bar. She immediately walked out of the bar and phoned her best friend, who was also a student at North Staffordshire Polytechnic. Her friend quickly made her way to the bar and the two waited outside the bar (but at a safe distance), waiting for the rapist to come out. When he did, the two young ladies followed him, discreetly. They followed him into one of the halls of residence on campus (NOT the one my ex-GF lived at), at all times maintaining a safe distance from him. They watched the rapist get into a lift. As he did so, another resident existed the same lift and said to the rapist **_"How's it going?"._** My ex-girlfriend's best friend asked this male resident if he and the rapist were friends (she did NOT tell him why she was asking him this question.) The male resident said "yes" and that the rapist lived on the same floor as him. She then asked him what the rapist's name was and what course he was studying for and what year he was in, and the male resident told her. At this point, the women left the rapist's hall of residence and headed back to my ex-GF's own hall of residence.*
*My ex-GF then phoned me (I was in London) and informed me that she now knew her rapist's identity. She told me that her attacker's name was **_Andrew David Webb_** and that he was in his second year at North Staffordshire Polytechnic. (I unfortunately do not remember what course the rapist was doing -- all this happened more than 30 years ago!) Given that he was in his second year, my guess is that the rapist was born possibly in 1968. I knew better than to ask my ex-GF to go to the Police, given that she had, on two separate occasions, turned down my request for her to do so. I asked her to take care of herself and to phone me, night or day, if she needed to. She thanked me and the conversation ended there. This was 34 years ago. (North Staffordshire Polytechnic is today known as Staffordshire University.)*
*Ladies, remember, you cannot trust ANYONE, including the Police. You are on your own. There are sexual predators EVERYWHERE. That is an inescapable reality. Just watch your back and use your head. That is all you can do.*
