In today's Collector Car Guru Workshop Video, Sam Barer shows on a 6 volt positive ground 1955 Ford Thunderbird how easy it is to hook up a cool 50 watt per channel DC-powered Bluetooth stereo amplifier product available on Amazon and eBay for just around $15. With a twist of a key -- any 6 or 12 volt car (or boat) with even a single speaker can automatically connect via Bluetooth to your phone and play/stream music.

Im going to be putting one of these units in my 1954 f100 6v pos ground. How do you connect the speaker wires? + to + , - to - or + to - and - to + thanks

+ to + and - to -. Theoretically, it is important to keep the correct polarity with speakers to ensure the speaker cone moves correctly, but in practical application of car-sized speakers and lower watt amps, you will likely never be able to discern the difference with audio clarity with reversed polarity...nor will it be a factor in the longevity of the speakers.

@@CollectorCarGuru Thank you for your support. Did you use the supplied power pig tail? The wires seem very thin, Any concern? Considering 6v likes thicker gauge wire.

@@buildnskate9386 yes, use the supplied pigtail. The amp unit doesn't draw many amps (less than 2), so with Ohm's Law, the wire can be tiny. The reason you need thick wires supplying the starter circuit in a 6V vehicle is because you need half resistance when there's half the volts (6v vs 12v) to push the same amount of cranking amps (number of amps over 30 seconds), which in a 6V car battery is somewhere around 600-1000 -- or 20-33.3 per second.
