Was Paul in fontainebleau last May? I'm pretty sure we climbed Carnage together in Bas Cuvier (sorry totally random thought). Anyways, really cool wall and nice setting advice- I'm building a wall now myself and really look forward to getting some climbing in again!
Cheers for the vid, the board looks great. You mentioned that 'stoked' is an outfit that can digitise the holds/board so it's easier to log recorded problems. Do you have a link for this please? (Had a look on stoked.com but couldn't see anything relating to this) Thanks.
It's actually spelt Stokt, it's an app based thing, really good. Will have to get in touch with them to get your board on there and may cost a little money too, but I think they're donating the profits
Yep, only screws. Make sure the screws are 5mm in diameter so that they are strong enough. The holds also have to have at least 2 holes to screw them on with. The screws do poke out the back, in fact it's best to make sure they do a little as this shows there is enough of the screw in the wood to make sure it is strong
Impact Route Setting trying to figure out how to get our A frame to be similar to yours. Our wood is about a meter shorter than yours though. Making the A thinner.
@@DarthDeth can definitely do something where the A frame tops out at the top of the ply panels, we just did a little more so the rear legs would never be in the way
Great idea naming the holds, Ill have to do that tomorrow and it might help me create and remember some problems 😂 keep crushing dude

@@impactroutesetting Ah right, cheers for the info.
do you think the brace is necessary, especially with the wood piece used for the beastmaker ?
Great job! Could you tell me what brand the footholds are?
The footholds are called Geo-Board Feet and are by Core climbing, you can find them here: coreclimbing.co.uk/buy-holds/climbing-holds/geo/
Are you just anchoring those holds with normal screws? No Tnuts or whatever they're called or big bolts? Do they just stick out the other side?

How long are you pieces of wood for the A?
4.5m for the climbing side and 4.2m for the other
Impact Route Setting cool do you guys make angled cuts to join the support pieces of wood?
@@DarthDeth Yes, it was a small angle, took around 10mm off one side if I remember correctly
