We've been studying from Sturkies Avian Physiology and started opening our incubator twice a day for the eggs to cool down. We also hatch them at 97.5. This is suppose to simulate how the hens incubate them. We are now having better hatches than we have ever had!

Wont dry hatch ever again because after the chick pokes through the egg, it starts to dry out and can get stuck in the shell, not be able to turn to keep breaking the shell.

Thank you so much for this video. We are on day 18 in our Cimuka. We followed your recommendations . Started with 62 candled on day 7 and day 14. We turned off and it took right around only 3 minutes to come back to temp and humidity. We are down to 46 viable eggs the ones we discarded were just yolk. Today is day 18 and we are transferring to the hatching baskets 👏👏👏👏👏. I will come back and give you final results. The only thing I hate is the small one little window. We have the smaller one.

I had the big incubator like a college refrigerator but didn’t have luck with it gave it away. I bought it used from an emu farm. So I got it for $400 dollars about-2 years ago.

I have a new Kebonnix 12 egg incubator and hatched 10 keepers. Cull one egg at 7 days and lost one chick stuck to egg . Still 90%

The freshest eggs should hatch better. They really don’t start growing till they reach a certain temperature do they.

55:44 Karen mentions someone by the name of Shelly. Did this lady do a talk on egg prep for incubation? If so, where can I watch it?
