It's not the 'far right'!. It's just the right. The far left is now so far left that anything slightly to the right appears far away.
If there is no far right, then is it really reasonable to use far left as a category either? That would be disingenuous and in line with the ever present attempt to demonise lefties and their values, which given conservative values have held power for far longer started much much earlier than the left being big enough to call out the right leaning people and their values.
But to the point, I think that politics may change but as the Overton Window moves one way or the other, both ends of the political spectrum currently in a country will be "the far ___" conceptually. Even so, it is a repudiation of any politics lacking compassion that is at the root of criticism of right wing politics even if it is only referring to economic/quality of life affecting policy, over time the right has only worked harder and harder to limit people's rights and make the poor poorer in many countries
