Those look great! My kids and I are going to make them for breakfast tomorrow. We never know what to do with leftover mashed potatoes so this is awesome. This was a really great video. My son Lucas (I’ve mentioned him before) and I watched it and couldn’t help but smile. It feels like watching a friend. And he loved how you said at the end to be nice to people. He’s doing school from home, he attends a virtual special needs class and someone made fun of the way he talks, really hurt his feelings. And at the end when you smiled and said be nice to each other he wished more people were like you.

I too am a New Englander. Dads side Irish, moms side old colonial English. They both did the boiled dinners, but the Irish side used Corned beef. The English side (in my case anyway) always did ham instead of corned beef. And somewhere shortly after the ham bone and leftobver bits would end up in a pea soup. I didn't appreciate this as a kid. You knew when you walked in what was being cooked and what the menu was going to be the next couple days. I really miss it now.

Facebook is the Devil. A continuous state of cognitive dissonance is not psychologically normal, but a large segment of our fellow citizens spend their conscious hours in that very state, partly due to that platform. The bubble & squeak looks like delicious food for a cold day, or a bad mood. Yummy, comforting stodge! TFP!

This would be great with some shredded onion cooked with the cabbage and I would fry it in a mix of vegan butter and olive oil.
Would be interesting to try this with vegan sausage mixed in. 😋
