    Love your reaction & analysis! Another winner by Home Free! These guys don't need any props or theatrics just their beautiful voices to harmonize. Rob & Austin in their tenor voices, Tim & Chance carrying the bass, and then Adam adds the finishing touches with his tasteful beatboxing. I give this a solid 10.

    • @CarlaDelk
      @CarlaDelk 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CoverCoach definitely their on point harmonies. They blend so well. In some songs when two or three of them are sing together, they almost sound like one voice. An example of that is in their cover of Helplessly Hoping. They are so in sync on their stops and starts. It's amazing! Also I like that they are relatable, like guys you just want to hang out with. Are the best at what they do, but humble about their talent. They are really fan driven. During quarentine while separated, they still continued to deliver great videos to us Home Fries to stay connected. And even now since going back on tour they have continued the video releases for us fans who cannot physically get to live concerts to see them. They care about social issues and are not afraid to put out songs to reflect that. Example Everybody walking this land and Undivided. But also lovers of our country and patriotic. Example My Country tis of thee, and Land of the Free. But do not take themselves too seriously that they can't make us smile and laugh. Example the Butts Medley and All about that bass. They are all in on every single song. Their arrangements of the songs they do covers or originals makes the songs uniquely theirs and makes it brand new. I know I rambled on, but those are just a few of the things that make them great! The fact I found them just about two years ago and now I listen to them constantly to make my day better is a testament to their impact on me. Getting me through this crazy past two years one song at a time. If you can make your fans feel like that,, you gotta be doing something right! Thank you for asking for my opinion, I hope it helps.

      @@CarlaDelk Thank you for being so open about how you feel about them :) I can see how much their music means to you. And yet, I see a similar response from everybody I ask - which is that HF music is amazing, but the element that makes Home Fries so passionate is the relationships among the guys + the relationship between the group and the fans.

    • @CarlaDelk
      @CarlaDelk 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CoverCoach that's true! Us fans can give you a million different reasons why we love them. But the common one among us is we feel like we know them. Even though we have never met them we feel like they would speak to us on the street if they met us. They have used fans in some of their videos and never fails to give shoutouts to their fans for the support.. They are funny and relatable. Watch some of the live concert videos that fans have posted about storyline and their quilty pleasures video. How they relate to the fans. People who are trying to break into doing this could learn from watching how they relate and do their shows. They are phenomenally talented and that is what initially drew me to them. But once I started consuming the live videos and interviews and their behind the scenes videos, that's when the connection happened. Thank you for taking the time to get to know why Home Free has such a fierce and loyal fan base. We need more artist like them.

    This is worthy of a top 5 spot by them. It’s beautifully done. Harmonies are incredible. Good runs by Rob and Austin and great bass by Tim and Chance and the heartbeat sounds from Adam in the beginning are superb. Still think Helplessly Hoping is stellar. Listen to that one. I also think Home Free’s Country Roads is better than Geoff’s. One Man Band is amazing too.

    Thank you! Adsm Rupp’s beatboxing was my favorite part. My favorite Bless the Broken Road cover is by Cypress Fyre a 3 man vocal band. My favorite tenor, Chris Rupp who founded Home Free (Adam Rupp’s brother) founded this group too. My favorite vocal cover of all time is Home Free: Do You Hear What I Hear arranged by Adam Rupp. My favorite cover of 2021 is Home Free: Brothers In Arms (11 of 10). Favorite Country Roads cover: Adam Chance of Home Free and Peter Hollins. My favorite bass cover: Home Free: Folsom Prison Blues!

    Home Free has a video that you also might want to analyze for your prospective on-line performers. "What's Left of My Heart" is an original song by Tim Foust (the bass singer), tells a story and has various elements for you to discuss. What's more, the song really hits you in the 'feels'. I'm enjoying your channel & commentary.

    Absolutely love how Home Free put this song together. The scenery is beautiful with the car on the road and the young couple. Rob, Austin and Tim all singing to clean and clear. Adam Rupp with the heartbeat is amazing. Chance and Tim with the bass, so clear and amazing back and forth perfectly together. I do also like Geoff with the song Take Me Home Country Roads, but think Home Free has done the song much better. Just an opinion. Thank you for a terrific reaction.

      Apologies to Geoff but I agree with you. I rather think it's because of the warmth in their voices and the way that they can vocally convey the emotional context of the song. Geoff's rendition is sound and his voice is great but the lyrics seem almost irrelevant - that he could have been singing about anything.

    Just got suggested your channel by TH-cam. You are very charming and have a lovely voice! Home Free is amazing. I am probably not the first to suggest her, but please do Angelina Jordan. As a bonus, she has a really big following here, and they will find you! Suggestions: Gloomy Sunday audition for Sweden's Got Talent (which she won) at 7 years old, Born to Die cover age 12, her surprising version of Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT Champions age 13, or I Put a Spell on You age 9. She is 16 now and also has many of her own songs out.

    They did a great job. The song itself isn't my favorite, but they always improve the songs they cover.😊 My favorite Home Free cover song is "Everybody Walking This Land." I love the beat, message, and creative way they made the MV during Covid. And Tim is the main lead.😁🥰 Beyond Home Free, you probably don't know my favorite cover, but you'll know my second favorite. 1) Hua Chenyu's cover of Jay Chou's rap song "Nunchucks." Hua Chenyu is a top singer/composer/rearranger in China and a mesmerizing performer. 2) "Bridge Over Troubled Water" covered by Sohyang. It starts like Simon and Garfunkel's song, but it doesn't stay that way. She can saaang!🤣 Beautiful voice and excellent stage presence. Would you be willing to review these songs, or do you only do acapella? (My 1 & 2 aren't acapella.) Either way, I enjoy your videos and look forward to the next one!

    Love the video, I've always felt connected to the song. But lets face it. Not many have the resources for a project that the names do. Same principle, but how do you do that in smaller scale. There's something to be said for a solid intimate performance as well. Maybe shooting out half-assed quick videos isn't the way, but no content isn't either. Like what you're doing Phil. Cheers!

    • @CoverCoach
      @CoverCoach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Norman :) You're right mate! Budget can affect how big the production can be. Equally, as you say, it's not about the production size - instead it's about the connection (people first, music second!). For smaller artists, I would suggest finding a 'green' space around their home and recording the video there (possibly with a simple tripod and iPhone camera setup). Have a fun day :)
