Found out last week my 4 year old male beardie is actually a female!! she had an awful diet for the longest time, and because of this and basically no calcium she never laid her eggs-and has loads stuck in her. Her surgery is at the end of this month, I’ll try to update on how it goes!!
Funny how in ALL animal species males and females are significantly different in personality and behavior due to hormones BUT society nowadays tries to say there is no difference between human males and females... which is ridiculous. Great video by the way. Learned some new stuff even after owning my beardy for 3 yrs now.

Hey I have a question about a behavior my beardie does. (Its not a vet issue and I trust you more than the forums) When he drinks water from the faucet after he pulls his head away instead of just doing the beard in and out like other beardies he opens his mouth sticks his tongue out then jerks his head back and closes his mouth and repeats (kind of like the beard yawn motion) Is he having trouble swallowing or just a habit that he has?
I know yours are adults but I have two 3 month old babies and they’ve been eating a lot more than they did when I first got them. How many insects is too much? They ate a lot yesterday and were still looking for more bugs but I gave them their salad instead. I just don’t want to feed them too much.

i have a male bearded dragon who’s about 6 months old and i want to hold him but i’m afraid bc a while ago he opened his mouth but yesterday i had both my hand next to him and he was fine what should i do. also, at night recently he’s been glass surfing and not sleeping at all and it’s really hard for me to sleep because it’s very loud.
Question!!! I bought a small tank for my baby beardie but he’s getting big enough for me to upgrade my tank! The guy at the store told me I need to keep low profile cages... but it doesn’t really give room for them to climb. He said that if you get a higher cage, it’s harder to heat the tank. What’s your opinion??
They need long and wide tanks, not tall tanks. They aren't arboreal like crested geckos. They do like to climb, but they need more floor space then height. Having a 75G is a good amount of space because it is taller than a 40g, and also has more floor space.

No. As explained in the video, some females do not lay infertile eggs.
