    I have exactly the same model P85D with INSANE+ mode and have around 82k miles. I did check acceleration from 0-60mph with very precise gps and result was 2.89sec. It’s still very fast even after so many miles…

      Damn, that's awesome!! The P85D is basically the best car you can get for the money... I do want one. Enjoy yours!!! Thanks for watching!!!

    Biggest down side is, on the used market, it’s darn difficult to find a consistent pricing and with the different interior colors, the 1st owner picks some of the most non favorite mixes.

    • @samlovescars34
      @samlovescars34  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, true. Prices do seem to vary a lot. Interesting about the interiors too. Another factor to influence used values, maybe. Thanks a bunch for watching!!!

      My parent just bought one 2015 P85D with the Insane plus, full package and HWAP option and white sit and gold exterior color. Very rare to find for that price. The dealership didn't have a clue about tesla. We took it to tesla shop for a full inspection, no maintenance needed beside wiper fluid. For $26 at 80k miles. After 2 month and alot of car hunting and long distance drive to find one.

      That's great, congrats! I'm glad you're enjoying it to its fullest. The self-driving and ridiculous acceleration make it one of the best cars EVER. Drive safe, and thanks for watching!!

      I really appreciate you watching and commenting!! This car was great.. I had the chance to rent a Plaid last summer and made a review of that. It's a lot more interesting than this one, I think.. Hoping to film some more cars this summer! Thanks again!!

      Thanks!! Little Cottonwood Canyon in No. Utah is my favorite place ever. I was just up there yesterday... You should come out to UT sometime and witness it! I first moved here 8 years ago, and the scenery still blows my mind every day. It's outrageous. Anywho, thanks a bunch for watching!!!

    i haven't had the patience to wait 45 min for the battery to warm on Insane + on my 2014 P85D. i keep it on Insane mode most of the time. some day i'll wait the whole time.
    love my Tesla. so fun to drive.

      I only had the car for a day, and found Insane mode to be adequate most of the time. I was also having range anxiety part of the day... They are so fun! I look forward to owning one someday. I rented and reviewed the Model S Plaid last summer, and it totally changed my perspective on fast cars. It was crazy. Thanks so much for watching!!!

      Awesome!! Congrats! I'd like to pick one up too... The instant acceleration does basically "ruin" gas-powered cars for you, as many people say. Just the traction is amazing. Thanks a ton for watching!!!

    @A42yearoldARAB 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I just got the 2016 p85d (they no longer make this model) can't wait to pick it up tonight. Nerves coming from v8s my whole life lol. Ludacris is not worth it imo you go from 3.1 to 2.8 0-60 for over 10k I think? Plus not sure if anything below 2018 supports it?

    • @samlovescars34
      @samlovescars34  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome!! You're gonna love it. The torque is ridiculous. Yeah, from what I hear Ludicrous is no longer available, oh well. But they're quick enough already. I rented a P100D a week ago, and the power of that thing is on another level! I got a 3.00 sec. to 60 with it, compared to 3.71 for the p85d. Luckily they're all getting pretty cheap nowadays. Thanks so much for watching!! Enjoy the Tesla!!!

    • @A42yearoldARAB
      @A42yearoldARAB 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@samlovescars34 Yeah they had a p100d for 90k lol, bit out of my range. But I am having fun with this one! Definitely fun with the instant torque where it matters. My hellcat was definitely faster once you get past 100, but I never really got the space to do that very often. It came with free charging and premium connectivity (until Tesla pulls them off of course) which is cool too. The only thing I dislike is the lack of some of the newer features like sentry mode, but they offer the enhanced security addon which is an okay alternative. But the older computer it has is pretty laggy too so I will be upgrading that. Otherwise love it! Inside is defiantly higher quality than I am used to.

    i own one myself and statistics show that on average the battery still holds around 90% after 8 years of use... so i would not think too much about it. but if you drive it like this everyday than maybe the degradation will come sooner ;-) :D

      These cars seem somewhat rare/overpriced in this strange market right now. You'll probably have to buy one far away and have it shipped. I just found a couple on Atlanta craigslist, but they are pricey. If you look hard enough, you can find something I bet. Thanks a ton for watching!!!
