Oh! Hope it's not me keying this. I absolutely love Mew as an actor. Acting wise they cast him well for the role look wise (in my personal opinion) they went the wrong direction with him. As far as Lhong, for real, the actor is portraying him well. He is very good with his facial expressions.

To anyone feeling that they are starting to sympathize with Lhong, I want you to remember Tar on the floor curled up in a fetal position, Tar fully clothed, while laying on the shower floor. Tar's scared of being around other people and locking himself up in his room.

That's not love. He saw Tharn hurting so much for each breakup since high school. Lhong is a psycho criminal like any psychopaths and is extraordinarily manipulative and prone to criminal (Tar got raped because of Lhong) and lacks any regard for the feelings or interests of others and any feelings of remorse or guilt for his crimes. No excuses for any psycho criminals that claim as victims of childhood abuse or abandonment. It's not right for him to hire 3 guys to rape Tar because he love Tharn and afraid he would lose their friendship or his one sided love. Tar agreed to work with Type, first of all because Lhong blackmailed him with the video clip of rape plus Tar also worry Type might get rape like himself. I am very disappointed that in the novel the writer did not address Lhong's crime, just let him faded away by resigned from school and moved. I think Lhong should get punished or at least some psychological treatments to ensure that he will not do the same shit because his love get stolen again in the future. S A D

Is no one gonna talk about Kaownah's voice at the end? Like bruh- its only his voice, no instrument just his voice. Kinda creepy~ guess Kaownah delivered Lhong's character so well that even his voice creep the hell out of me after watching the episode.
It was announced on Twitter that MAME and the director/writer has arranged for the main OST to have a double meaning-- it can be about tharn's love for type and lhong's feelings for tharn. The song is about possessing someone and not letting others get them/be near them, so with kaownah's vocals plus the lyrics minus the background sound it's truly creepy. They really did a great job with it (ﾉ)'ω`(ヾ)

Tbh completely honest, I was a bit disappointed in the special. I know that the intention was for us to sympathize with Lhong, to understand him a bit more, and maybe if they'd gone deeper into his history and shown less of him smirking in the background of scenes we've already seen it might have worked. Based on how the last episode ended, I thought this would be a full flashback sort of following him through the years so we could see his obsession with Tharn developing, and that would definitely have been more effective towards garnering some level of empathy, but the writers took a different route(perhaps due to production costs, which is understandable) so it felt to me like a filler with a few clips thrown in to justify it being a stand-alone.
Now personally, nothing in his history could ever make me forgive, forget or understand what he did to Tar and I don't think he loves Tharn at all, he's just obsessed and determined to keep him to himself since, as we saw when he was a child, he's never had anyone to call his own. Like you, I keep thinking about how Tharn is going to feel when he finds out the truth. Obviously he's going to blame himself, and maybe that's why years later during LBC he still refuses to see Tar. He probably feels like he doesn't deserve his forgiveness and it's better for Tar if he keeps his distance.

Just wanna mention about an interview I've watched before regarding Lhong. The book did not mention much about Lhong's history but the director wanted people to not completely hate the character despite being the villain, so he added some backstory and lines, then this episode, of course with the writer's consent, and show that not everyone is 100% evil. He wanted to portray Lhong as someone lonely (very) until Tharn became his own pillar of support. He became threatened about Tharn's BFs that he might lose his pillar of support, added by his actual love so he really did try testing them by saying "what if Tharn cheats on you?". The result was a breakup and he felt guilty when that happened, but he also felt afraid that his pillar of support would disappear, so he started lying then sinning to cover it up until it gets worse and worse. His love turned to obssession and selfishness. With no one to give advice to him, he probably never knew where to limit his deeds. That's when he did the crime with Tar.
I thank the director with this, to somehow helped me not to hate him completely but only because I sympathize with his past not his deeds; and it also made the characters more complex and interesting. I agree that he needs mental help, I just felt that he was too deep already and he needs all the help from his family. That's my opinion on his character. A sad past is sad but evil deeds are evil, and people should separate it.
Anyways, it's my first comment on this channel after watching several videos from you and your friends. I love it. It's funny, personal, natural and true that's why it's entertaining and giving me a new perspective on many series such as this 😊

I actually feel sympathy for him and the type of loneliness he was/is going through. He made some subtle attempts to show his loneliness but no one noticed. What he did was unforgivable, I acknowledge that and he should be held responsible for his actions.

Something that most people believe is that having sympathy means it's we forgive. Having sympathy *DOES NOT* mean it's ok or that we accept the actions of someone. Having sympathy means that you know the person has suffered some hardships and feel bad because not everyone is lucky to have had a healthy and loving upbringing *BUT EVEN THEN* they *SHOULD* be held responsible for whatever actions and choices they make.
So what they're trying to tell me is,Lhong was scared to confess to Tharn but he didn't feel anything when he did that to Tar!!?? So if they're expecting us to feel bad for Lhong or something like that ....Nope!! Nothing can justify his action !!
But Kaownah !! I hope they give him a better role in his next series 💐💐
Lhong was triggered a lot because of all Tharn's boyfriends only his relationship with Type was not revealed by Tharn to him. And Tharn's love for Type was a huge threat to him.
If you sympathize with Lhong think about everything Tar has been through, Lhong deserves no sympathy just because he had a sad childhood. Tharntype really shows the two sides of childhood trauma, and what it could do to a person. For Type he became homophobic, and Lhong is mistaking his obsession for love because Tharn is supposedly the only person who cares about him that he'll go the extra mile to have him all to himself even hurting Tharn himself, but slowly he's realizing that he can't stand to see Tharn suffer, but the damage is already done.

Lol, everyone just have their own background story which can build their characteristics to become someone that we can't predict it will be. Type, Tharn and Tar has their own dark story to lead us know the present character of them. ok so Lhong"s parents didn't have time for him, he was lonely since childhood. When he got to highschool he was mentally unstable, and was thinking about suicide, then enter Tharn. Lhong found a life line thru Tharn, they grew close. When Tharn got with both Tar and Type, Tharn didn't spend as much time with Lhong. Lhong started becoming unstable again, and in his mind he is protecting the one person who keeps him sane. Also I think that is Lhong's warped mind, when Tharn said "I want you", he heard "I like you". Still that does not justify his actions against Tar. One thing we can be thankful for is that Type didn't go the same route when he was out drinking with Lhong.

I don't understand this little episode...it just annoyed me. Are they trying to get sympathy for Lhong or something? Because that will never happen. It's one thing to be that bitch that spreads rumors and says terrible things. But after what he's done? no.
During this little side story, why didn't they show him manipulating every single one of Tharn's breakups? Or how he literally HIRED men to RAPE A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT, FILM it, and then using those videos to blackmail him?? That is so sickening I cannot even believe it. It's unforgivable. I have no sympathy whatsoever for him. It's one thing to have feelings for someone and not telling them, but he's a genuine psychopath. That's not love, that's obsession. Does he honestly think that after everything he's done Tharn will love him? Especially how he fucked up Tar's life forever? I am still in utter shock and disbelief about this whole thing. I've known about Lhong for quite a while, but actually seeing it play out is making me so nauseous.
After everything, how DARE he sit next to Tharn, stroke his face, saying he "loves him" when he literally just caused Tharn's devastating heartbreak. He's the damn reason why Tharn's heart is shattered. If you truly loved someone, you would NEVER do that to them.
Lhong needs professional help, but after what he did to Tar, it's seriously unforgivable. I do want him to get help for his psychopathy. He really needs it.
I'm just desperately hoping that they show how Type and Tar are working together and that we get to see their friendship forming. omg.

There’s so many Lhongs around us affecting us in every little way. Sad though, i think we all can relate to Lhong, on way or another we were all “Lhongs” waited patiently, standing side by side with a person we loved and yet again pushed aside taken for granted just because. I'm sorry ... even though Lhong did something bad to Tar through his legal action...but I kinda understand his loneliness....I can see he's been hurt since he was a little...all he wanted is just a bit of love...he don't ask for more... I feel it is relatable to me.. except I'm never do a harmful actions to anyone... But yeah... If only he can open about his feeling towards Tharn ... He would not hurt anyone in advance...
