Fun walk through... Thanks Paul. 😎👍 As for smaller venue and a frenetic atmosphere that's clever marketing. Vendors feel it's busy and worth their while, punters feel everybody is buying and there's a mad rush to do so. Event organisers love filling a venue and happy when turnover keeps the vendors happy and the turnstiles ticking over. As for the punters, well they are the least important, so squashing them in is of no real concern. At least you were lucky with the parking. I assume many others were not. Cheers.
The old venue had a fire last year, Hence the new location. I agree with you looking at the video. The balance between manufacturers and retailers isn't right. Not everyone going to a show like this will be looking at buying a guitar on impulse. Cheers.
It was my first time there and I found it less intense and crowded than I expected. I got to try out lots of things and chatted to a few youtube stars who were all really nice. I’d go again 🙂 I also impulse bought a guitar in the morning and carried it around all day because I was too scared to leave it in the car!
I wonder what it's like today - it was a lot more dense then the Bingley hall venue I was at last year though for sure. For sure id go again - was even tempted to drive back today lol
Yeh i did catch his stand, alot of the boutique and different style builders always get a good crowd at these things, but i do wonder if they sell much
Thanks for the speedy upload. I hope 5:00 doesn't get you a copyright strike from grumpy Don 😜 The Bonham's Greenie guide prices seem almost reasonable. I bet they're not accurate. Cici was fretting guitar necks on the Crimson stand at some point (I've been living vicariously through social media updates lol)
Yeh i thought that, seeing the green CS strat ive seen Peter use on the splinter gigs was strange, those videos have so many people putting his playing down as he was using that exact guitar. But yeh id imagine theyll go for more then the guide for sure.
Yeh ive lived long enough without one. Its too good and needed another and im very happy now haha. Phil, i did play it and was shocked that i much preferred the new Mcarthy SE which was also there but not for sale as was a demo. Thry had DGTs to sell though.
@@Paul-D Interesting - i have one on pre-order (a gold top with moons) , not sure it could live up to my current 594's but have fallen in love with it .. maybe this is the goldtop i have been searching for .. maybe .. maybe not ?
I found the E to E spacing on the DGT to be alot wider then i thought it would be. The mcarthy se was much nicer in the hand and the back to front controls on the dgt would get a little annoying, still a great guitar though of course
It's actually a bigger venue . I thought it was more spacious tbh, oh well glad you had a good time. I think you may have been there at a peak time with more people?
Yeh i definitely was, watching pedal pawns vid who filmed after i left and it was much more eased off lol. I left about 1:30 as thought it was getting busier but turns out so did quite a few people and wouldve been better to stay lol.
@@Paul-D 😆.. 👌🏻 Although there was some expensive gear there , I did zoom in on a few price tags that ‘looked’ reasonable deals … there was a sunburst Strat I noticed at the start of the video .
Yeh there was some good show prices. I spotted a USA professional (old version but new) tele for £850. Which was a great price. Just a little more then i had otherwise wouldve bought it for the website
I did try and chat with him but just couldn't get near. A lot of other channels there also covering it who people know im just wondering about with a phone cam haha
I wasnt kitted up for it mate. Just a phone and i happened to be at the show so shared what i could. Next year ill try and get a more youtube focused video done on the show.
Hi mate, it was great to meet you next to Danish Pete ha ha! ❤️🎸
Hi man! Would loved to get you on the vid but you were pretty tied up with your own camera and stuff so didnt bother you haha.
@@Paul-D thanks mate, same back to you but let’s connect next year 🎸🚀
I watched your vid the other day and the part where you said dont bring an addict to this show - so ill see you there next year haha!
Thanks Paul that was a great look around! 😎👍
Cheers Colin, was hoping to see you down there haha
@@Paul-D I would have loved too… next year perhaps!
Cheers matey, great to see.

Thanks for the tour man. Enjoyed it! Would love to visit a guitar show one day. Peace!
Must get some bigger ones your way surely?!

Yeh I only recently heard it had a roof fire! For me I did prefer the old venue but maybe I just dont like change lol
Looks great the Australian guitar show yesterday in Melbourne we had not as many companies by the look
It was in Shirley wasn't it? I used to live a couple of miles down the road in Moseley and I never knew that venue existed!
Yeh Cranmore Park think it was called
@@Paul-D Oh right, thanks. I knew the Cranmore area quite well so I think it must have been built in the last 10 years.
Danish Pete signature Chapman! whoa! well deserved (if that's what it is) I saw it first here
Good stuff. Cheers!
Thank you! Cheers!

Was it from Secret Swan Guitars?
@@Bl12zard Nope, from PMT (it was the Gibson Voodoo series Flying V in a red snakeskin case. Very unsubtle and made me really self-conscious! 😄)
In the 1908s I helped organise guitar festivals in the Barbican Centre. I’m not sure my hearing has recovered to this day.
In fairness if you did it in 1908 I’m not surprised you may have a little hearing loss now - that would make you well over a century old 😜
Thanks for doing this my exhaust fell off last night so couldn’t make it
Ah no way man! Hopefully you can get it sorted before tomorrow and catch it then. Shows usually better on the Sunday anyways haha
I was hoping to see Ivison guitars. Did you see their stand, by any chance?

Great video Paul - thanks . Marsha says was that another Vox Wah :) And I wanna know whether you played the SE DGT ? :)

AHH man every year I miss it and think next year I'm going
Noticed PETE signing your Dane with his left hand, obviously left handed, yet he plays right handed !👍
Haha well spotted thats the same as me too lol

I must go to one of these shows …. I know I’d have to buy something though 🙈… and it wouldn’t just be a plectrum 😂
Its pretty difficult not too, buy something where the plectrum is free with it 😅

if you are going to make videos you need a better camera, one that does not blur out with movement
All in good time.
Not quite 'Naam' yet.
No its a mini version haha
..beter video quality next year ? That fast left and right turning with your camera is terrible .
£300,000. Worth more than a house?
Yeh id take the house for sure haha
Stop at boiths look indepth talk to manufacturers

Peter Green's guitars at nice prices!
I dont think those estimates will be anywhere close to the final sale price, they seem way too low, guess well see!
@@Paul-D "Oh well.." nice video btw
Have to get the misses to shake her moneymaker and maybe i can bid hahahaha. Okay puns over 😅
