Hi good question. Yes myxo can be used as an explanation but here the melody note during the Gm is F, and the Bm is B. So here, the typical modal notes of myxo (Bb) and Lydian (F#) are not used in the melody so modal flavour is not there. These chords are simply reharmonized melody notes and not modal functioning chords.
@@KhojThebandOh, I see! I got your point, but I have one more question, sir. If the melody note is F, how can we use a G minor (Gm) chord, since F is not a note in Gm? It is present in Gm7 or Bb, but not in Gm. Is it possible to use a chord even if the melody note is not part of that chord?
@@KhojTheband Sir, if I’m not wrong, I’ve noticed this concept in the song Jashn-e-Bahara as well, particularly in the antara section. The chord progression there is G, C, Am, F, and back to G. However, the second time, the G chord is Substituted with an F major chord, even though the melody note isn’t part of the F chord.
Opeth noticed ! 🗣🔊

Hi. It's just 3 chords -
Am - G - F - G throughout the song
Capo fret 1
Sir, can't we say that the Gm and Bb are from the C mixolydian mode and Bm from the C lydian?

@Melo123-m9 That's the magic of implied Harmony . Together the entire thing gives the feel of Gm7 to the listener without actually playing that chord.
