So, you're using a digital interpretation of an analogue compressor to compare to a purely digital creation of a compressor? How about doing a comparison of your digital analogue to a hardware comp? I mean, there's plenty of those videos out forever now, but, isn't that the way you should be comparing the two?
Yes I realize that it's technically two digital plug-in compressors. The fat channel is modeled after an analog compressor so it tries to emulate that.
