  • In this video, we explore the industrial conversion of waste and wood into gas, as well as existing industrial gasifiers in Europe. We discuss how to turn wood waste into methane and feed it into the general gas grid, and how to get electricity and heat from wood for a small town. We also cover how it is done with 3 or more megawatts plants in the European Union.
This technology was forgotten and abandoned in many countries after World War II, while it continued to develop in others. Europe has a huge number of functioning small-capacity gasifiers, constantly looking for models of gasifiers to turn as many fuels as possible into gas. These include bio-slit, peat, oil sludge, shale, garbage, and other carbon-containing waste fuels.
There are about 40 large gasifiers in Europe with a capacity of more than 3 megawatts of thermal energy. The map shows where they are located, and we discuss the current status of each.
Watch this video to learn more about how waste and wood are turned into gas on an industrial scale in Europe, and why gasifiers are included in green programs.

How do we citizens find home scaled gasifier? I live on a farm, and would like to use wood to power my home.

Hey Robert smith, build your own. There is a excellent book on line that gives you many details. It’s called the Gasifier Bible. They want you to depend on fuel companies for your power. That’s why you never hear of this in the news or social media.

Does anyone know why it is so difficult to make condensation wood boilers (for households) or why the market doesn't sell them that much? With "condensation wood boiler" I'm referring to a system that burns the wood completely (e.g. gasification stove) and subsequently provides enough heat exchange to get the water in the product gas liquefied, thus recouping that latent heat for a useful purpose.

The reason you are not getting information about these plants is, "the smell", please go to one if these places you are talking about.
