I still am freaked out by all the shit you got for the PS4 video. I shared it with some of my friends who are pretty knowledgeable about video games and they also flamed me for it. It's mind-boggling how defensive gamers are about video games. It's like video games are some sort of benevolent parent recently turned abusive.
iDragonarion People are emotionally connected with brands they spend money on (not just games, but electronics or cars). There was a study where it was found out that insult to beloved brand is on same level as insult to family member (or something similar to that) and causes anger or sadness to test subjects. It's combination of buyers remorse and being swindled by marketing.
I also did not understand why he got all the hate he did and am incredibly grateful he did myself.
I was excited about the PS4 reveal when George brought out that video and I appreciate that he did because it made me think twice about buying a console on launch day, which I have never done and glad I haven't yet. Although I now own a PS4, I got for a lot cheaper and bought it for the games I own through PS Plus rather than buying it for the hype or the crappy exclusives it offers atm.
George pretty much hit the nail on the head here, if you own a PC already buying either a PS4 or Xbox One is redundant. The Wii U has great exclusives that are worth buying. Is a shame they're probably going to abandon it after they release NX.
A lot of people went into a hypnotic trance after the PS4 reveal, that's what pre-release marketing does. I remember doing the same thing, urging people to be cautiously optimistic and stop treating Sony like a deity, and like George I was shouted down on mass in comment sections.
Really weird behavior, I think the console market is so desperate right now that it's rubbing off on the consumers.
iDragonarion Computers and gaming devices are one of the weirdest examples of spectacular commodities around. People end up buying this stuff not because it's the best thing on the market or beacuse it's the cheapest but because of the emotional baggage connected to the brand. 's why apple can sell the same computers as other companies for hundreds of dollars more because of an aesthetic and an OS; you're not buying solely the computer you're buying the feeling of being a creative individual
Don't you also see how mind-boggling the, "let me tell you why you shouldn't be enjoying the thing you're enjoying" mentality is? I enjoy my PS4 and yet the majority of PC gamers I come across, whether it be on reddit or youtube, are always trying to tell me how "wrong" I am in my hobby.
To me early console gaming was about convenience and ease of use. PC was so complicated in comparison.
When I was a kid, I had a Playstation for home console and I loved it, it was simple, pop the disc and start playing. Loading times where frequent but always under the minute mark. Next I had a PS2, just a simple to use but even better games. I still regard the PS2 as the best console I ever had.
Then I bought a PS3 to play MGS4, and that's the time I felt thing started to go wrong. Multiple reasons to that: at this time I started playing on PC. I only had a small 4:3 CRT tv to hook my consoles into (the MSGS4 small fonts designed for HD displays where almost unreadable), The PS2 loading times where replaced with tens of minutes long updates and hard drive installations. All that waiting time I never had to cope with on the last generation was so frustrating, I might as well play on my PC. In the end I relegated my PS3 to my shelf and kept on playing on my computer that was just about more powerful, but most of all more convenient to use especially for online gaming. Simply starting a game on PS3 became too much of a hassle.
Today, I am not interested in consoles at all, with the exception of portables like the 3DS that are still quick and easy to play with. I regard my home computer as every bit as superior to all 8th gen consoles. The big exclusive franchises I used to love to play on Playstation like Metal Gear, Grand Theft Auto and Final Fantasy have all made their way to the PC platform, so I have no incentive to buy a new home console at all. In fact, I am more interested in buying older consoles for retro gaming, arcing back to the times inserting a cartridge and push the power button was all you needed to start playing.
I miss the time consoles were just instantaneously gratifying gaming machines and not pseudo home computer encumbered by unwieldy online and social features you don't need.
Id still be stuck in that rut, my small experience with pc gaming is that of my latop, older games like half life loaded fast and all in 60fps, I have the ps4 but it might be my last console for me, Ill give it its run and move on to PC

+karbengo Buy a Wii U. It's actually has a great exclusive library that give you experiences that you literally can't get on P.C. If you enjoy local multiplayer with friends then it's a no-brainer to have one.
+ThatOneGuy I feel what he's saying on PC but the games coming out for PC and consoles (Save for Street Fighter 5) I'm not really interested in. Things like Rime, The Last Guardian, and WiLD are certainly not coming out for PC, so until they have a PS4 emulator, I'm getting it for the PS4.
Watching this made me realize just how good we have it on the PC.
True that. Not only do we have better graphical capabilities, better sales, free online play, and more exclusives, but we can also play just about any PC game ever made. That last reason alone is enough to get a PC over a console. We aren't leaving behind dozens, or even hundreds of games when we upgrade.

Well if we're going to be smug about it - I have a gaming PC, two DSs, a PSP, a PS vita, a PS4, a couple of Xbox 360s, two PS3s, a Dreamcast, a PSone, an Xbox, a few android phones and tablets, one being an nVidia shield and controller, and more games than I can count, going right back to the early 90s and up to the present day.

Backwards compatibility was what killed Consoles for me, I have hundreds of great games that I still like to play on my respective GOG and Steam accounts. I'm not about to just leave those behind so I can play the 4 or 5 mediocre titles already out.
Graphics, prices, control schemes, that's all nice but the main reason I prefer PC is because I can download a copy of System Shock 2 and get it running in 20 minutes decked out with HD mods and modern controls. PC has no generations, games last forever on PC, and that's important.

Darkness1984 Not every game is going to work right away, old games take some basic google searches, but 99% of games are super easy to get running.
Yeah, I can deal with all the disadvantages that come from me playing on console, but it is very disappointing to not have backwards compatibility and having to pay PS+ for multiplayer on PS4. Now I have to black boxes in my room and even more cables than before.
It was a bit of a pain to get the old directx for Fallout 1 and 2
I just enjoy consoles, because I don't feel like reading up on specs and all of that stuff. I just buy a console, don't give a shit about 60 fps and the higher resolution and have it for 8 years or so without ever having to do anything but put a game in that I enjoy. Yes PC has better hardware and more games, but I just want to sit down and play without having to think about processor and such. It's all about what you prefer as a gamer.
I am a 95% console gamer, and most likely, always will be. That being said, you hit the nail right on the head. Console gaming has become so redundant, I almost want to give the entire hobby up, plug in my nes, and pretend that the last 10 years never happened.
I subscribed to your channel, even with a larger emphasis on pc, because even with your editorials being very opinionated, it is still some of the best, objective, and flat out interesting content about the medium on the net.

I totally respect your choice of console gaming, but if you ever get bored remember pc gamings always there for you with its countless exclusive and free to play titles.
I know the feels. I grew up a console gamer, from the second gen through the sixth gen. I still have and play most of them. It was so different back then. PCs just didn't tend to have the same genres and types of games as consoles. And even a commercial failure like the Sega Dreamcast still had plenty of exclusive games that made you want to have it.
Now I have a 5 year old PC built on a budget that's running almost all of the newest generation console games at least as well as those consoles would, with a genuine console controller and the ability to run it to my TV so I can play from the couch. It's not like consoles got worse, exactly. PCs just assimilated everything that made console gaming distinctive. The types of games I play and the way I play them hasn't really changed, as a result. I'm just playing them on a PC now.
Game james shit though, literally every single friend of mine plays on console and i cant convert to pc even if i want to. im truly desperate. well, maybe a couple more years, and ill switch.
Ates Goksu PC gaming (at least in my experience) is more of a mature crowd, (when you think about the demographic of games like wow compared to COD.)

This gen as of now has been absolutely abysmal.
Tell me about it! Even ignoring that many PS4 games are PS3 ports, there are hardly any games I want for it! There's LittleBigPlanet 3, Ratchet & Clank, Transformers Devastation, The Escapists... and that's it! I'm not so keen on all these action shooter titles, too violent for my liking, and it's what the majority of both the PS4 and Xbox One's libraries are! I'm generally more of a "kid's games" person despite being in my late 20s, but these days if a kiddy game is made, it'll almost certainly be a smartphone and tablet title! Smartphones and tablets SUCK as gaming devices; no physical buttons, an abundance of low quality titles, many games being free to download but during gameplay try to con you out of £5 here and £10 there, many companies seeing the 3DS and Vita, both REAL handhelds, as "passé", which they are SO not! I also hate all those unending updates and the PS4 not having ANY REAL backwards compatibility! (not even letting you play PS3 downloads of PS2 games is what destroyed any chance there was left of me getting a PS4)
Phones and Tablets just are made for different types of games. The premium titles on iOS and Android barely are games like FPSes or RPGs. All of them are puzzle games, adventures, or interactive novels. A lot of them can be already considered "iOS classics".
Great titles like"The Room" series, Device 6, Year Walk, Monument Valley or 80 Days are great mobile titles that would just feel crippled on other platforms.
Mobile isn't bad, it's just different.
I know. What bugs me is that most people know think that all handheld gaming should ONLY be done on smartphones and tablets, and that's just sad. The market'll crash one day, I'm sure of it!

There have been experiments to create actual handheld consoles with Android or iOS. For example, the Nvida Shield, which had it's own selection of games you could get on the Play Store exclusivly for it. Yes, the system was a failed experiment, but it at least was a step in the right direction.
For me the SteamBoy, this handheld/streaming thing running on SteamOS seems to be the most interesting device. Apparently it will let you play a lot of Steam Games on the go. I wonder how it will turn out.

For us PC gamers, Wii U is the only console worth a damn. It provides an experience which you can't really get on PC, while its competitors are just PCs but worse.

I know this is 5 years after the fact but seeing you scroll past P.T. and saying how there's nothing interesting on the PS4 is hilarious.
Literally the only reason I am glad I have a PS4 in 2015 is so that I can play the superior version of Persona 5. So far, the only reason I'm glad I have a Wii U is so that I can replay Bayonetta 2.
I don't know whether or not this is a good thing, but with games like new Etrian Odyssey and Devil Survivor and Xenoblade remakes, I feel like the 3DS is actually the best platform to own this year.
Yeah, the support the 3DS gets just from Atlus and Xceed alone have made it my most used platform for the past couple years. You gotta be into JRPGs for that to count, I suppose.
With the amount of great games the 3DS has and is still getting, I would probably consider the best handheld without a doubt but that's really my opinion.
What about Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon and Zelda for WiiU?

The upside of this generation is that I'm playing old-ass platformers on my shitty cheap-ass computer and I get to develop a shallow superiority complex towards people with disposable income for buying expensive-ass games on expensive-ass consoles who are having less fun than I am.
I don't usually comment on TH-cam videos, but this video (like everything from Bunnyhop) is so perfectly accurate. I have a high end gaming PC (which cost less than a PS4 or Xbone) and a Wii U, and I have sunk hundreds of hours into the wonderful games on the Wii U, but the other two consoles are just bad PCs with sub par new games and cash grab ports of last gen games.
I like how the last 3 minutes is basically George saying _"fuck you I was right"_ :)

You were spot on about the PS4, It was a great video. BTW are the PS4 download servers slow? I never thought about it until now but downloading games to a console is a hindrance, but thats also how its done on PC with steam, except my reaction is often "wow that downloaded quickly". :-)

xisumavoid Yeah, Steam servers do seem to be a lot better in terms of quality, probably because Valve has been in the DRM/Digital market for over 10 years now, and Sony and MS are just now hopping on that bandwagon (yeah, Xbox Arcade was a thing, but those were mostly small indie games).

I yelled "YES!" and "THANK YOU!" so many times during this video I'm pretty sure the neighbors think I'm having very polite sex. You really nailed how I feel about this console generation, especially the part about how damn near everything is coming out for PC.
This generation of consoles is having such a hard time figuring out their identity thanks to the lack of exclusive titles and their inability to separate themselves from the last generation. Even the Wii U, which has done the best job of creating an identity, still has a lot of experiences that I feel could have been on the Wii. The key to being "next-gen" is by creating experiences that simply couldn't be possible on the last generation, not that the graphics are slightly better.

There has been only two good exclusives I have gotten on Xbox one
Titanfall: only worth about 20$ but I got it for 10$ and then a month later I got all the dlc for free and it's the first multiplayer game I have reached max level in in 5 years. It's a large amount of fun.
Mcc: if you have an xbone but haven't gotten this yet it's okay 343 sucked at doing the multiplayer and there is no community sharing so custom games is limited, they don't have griffball swat(they used to but took it out) and so many other things that made halo amazing and only have one ranked playlist (halo 2 remastered multiplayer) halo 1 anniversary: it's a pretty bad remaster with shoddy reload animations and subpar graphics, halo 2 anniversary: a good remake by all means and fixed all of the problems they had in hcea but the pre-rendered cutscenes character models don't look very good considering they changed the looks of so many characters halo 3: halo 3 in native 1080p
Halo 4: it actually looks really good and looks like it belongs on a xbone lighting wise

Poor Wii U. Most underrated console in years. Complex, intense action games with Bayonetta 1 and 2. Games that don't even have a distinctive genre: Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, and Captain Toad. Fun multiplayer online and off with Smash, Kart, and Monster Hunter. Play all your wii games. Play everything from SNES to N64 to Neo Geo on the virtual console. A lot of indies. You don't even need a damn TV to play this thing, you can play it in your bed or on the shitter!
All amounts to less than 10 million sales in 2.5 years.
(Personally, I'd classify Pikmin as a light-RTS game, but I'll hold my tongue on the others as I haven't played them.)

Considering the kind of exclusives and features the XBOX series X and PS5 are lacking, this video has aged VERY well.
I built my own PC a couple years ago (Before GPU shortages), and one for my wife earlier this year (When GPU prices started dropping), and we have not looked back. I sold my PS4 and my Switch is just gathering dust. Console gaming has become redundant.

On the TOVG podcast you mentioned that you've never played the Mario Galaxy games. I strongly suggest rectifying this immediately! They are some of my favorite games of all time and I'd love to see your take on them.

I built a gaming PC back in 2011, but what I've quickly noticed is that the only time I ever buy games for it is when the PC games go on sale. In fact, the last time I ever bought a PC game at full price was Starcraft 2 when I built my PC. Even then if they frustrate me enough I just end up buying the console version anyway. For example, when I bought Arkham City when it was on sale the game kept crashing near the beginning of the game. I looked through many solutions. Reinstall it, disable this, change that, etc. After time and time of no success I decided to just get it for my PS3. Worked just fine. Another example would be The Evil Within. It seemed like I could not play through the game 10 minutes at a time until it would randomly crash. Got the PS4 version and, while the framerate is shit, I can at least play it. Sonic Generations apparently has a bug where if you have an Nvidia GPU it won't run.
I'm not saying consoles are better than PC. I actually think that PC should be the #1 gaming option, but I absolutely hate how with some games I have to jump through hoops that may or may not work to get my game to work and they get so bad to the point where I have to buy them on console to enjoy them.

i could not agree more. I love my Wii U and 3DS, and those get WAY more playtime than anything else. My PC is an absolute workhorse, and still runs everything I throw at it to an acceptable level, almost four years since I got it. I was SO happy when they revealed MGSV was coming to PC. PS4 and Xbox One would be incredibly redundant, even moreso than the 360 and PS3 were last gen.

Comparing PC to consoles is like comparing a Ferrari and a Civic. You don't drive a Ferrari and be concern about the price of gas, you drive a Ferrari because you want superior performance. And not everybody have to drive Ferrari to be worth something, just drive what ever you like that you can afford. It's your money, do whatever you want with it. Don't judge the haves and the have-nots.
Computers aren't cars and the claim that PCs cost more has been debunked for ages, only someone living in denial would say that at this point.
What about Handhelds, Bunnyhop?
My parents refused to let me get a console when I was a kid as a means to prevent me from playing games, but permitted play on the computer. This had the unintended effect of keeping me on PC gaming and I haven't been tempted to switch since.

It's unfortunate to see the Wii U selling so poorly when it has such a greater current library than the PS4.
I think you absolutely, 100% nailed it, and I'm what you might refer to as a "console fanboy". You also highlight exactly why I have not, and likely will NEVER buy a PS4 or Xbox One.
You can sort by console on the eshop. On the main eshop page you click a button and it sorts by what you clicked.

It seems rather hypocritical to say that all the PS4 games are lackluster games that could have been done last gen just as well but with visual upgrades, while simultaneously praising Metroid Trilogy, Smash Bros and Mario kart for giving you "hundreds of hours of entertainment." Smash and Mario Kart iterated in no way that makes them feel like fresh next gen experiences and metroid Trilogy is literally a last gen experience that hasn't even been updated visually or given a better way to control it than the Wii Mote despite us now having a controller with two analogue sticks.
30 FPS at 900p, I think I'll pass.
Meanwhile, this video focuses on actual problems relating to current gen consoles (PS4 can do 1080p and 60 FPS too).
Also before you say it I'm not a console fanboy, I vastly prefer PC.

60 FPS is only really important in fighting games and FPS games, from my experience. I adapt to pretty much any framerate (except below 20, I haven't managed to see 60+ yet) so I guess it's just a matter of opinion.
***** Because resolutions on consoles are a big deal...Consoles are meant for the couch, sitting a few meters away from the TV. You won't notice and difference between resolution from that far away. Resolution only matters on PC as you are sitting directly in front of the screen and can notice the difference. 30 FPS is completely playable as long as it's stable.
Beyond Big Boss Nah, there are plenty of games that run sub 1080p, and they'll only get more. As someone who is used to 120 FPS, 60 is the bare minimum for me, the only exception I've found so far is South Park.
But the thing is, developers aren't interested in pushing for 1080p @ 60 because they know they'll have to drop the graphical fidelity, and what sells games on a new system? Improved graphics!
I'm not saying there aren't games that run that, because there are, but the majority doesn't run at those settings, and most likely never will.
My biggest disappointment with the WiiU was buying ZombieU which ran at an excruciatingly 30 FPS, I barely even got past the tutorial before I quit. That's how I learned the hard way that when buying console games, make sure to check their resolution and framerate. Not a problem I've ever run into on PC.

i think the reason also for a decline in enthusiasm for console gaming is in part due to the the emergence of steams' rise in popularity the last five years, it has literally come up from nowhere which in turn has led to an renaissance in pc gaming, this has in my mind has pretty much spoiled the console party.

I never got how people get consoles as soon as they come out in the first place. my friends always joke about when I just got a last gen console when the new ones came out. they got new consoles $300+ that needs constant updates and patches and lack games exclusive to them. when I just got an Xbox 360 for $50 and all the halo's and metal gears (except for solid for some odd reason) for $20.
+birdsquatch man I'm with you, dude. I'm the same way. There are so so many good PS3 games that are dirt freaking cheap right now, and I haven't played them all. So I keep catching up on all the games I've always wanted to play but didn't get around to. There's only so many hours in the day. That game that everyone payed $60 for is the same game I'm now playing for $5, and it's the exact same experience. Never be an early adopter, always be a patient gamer, that's my motto.

My parents my sister and her boyfriend this christmas bought a PS4 for me, which was really appreciated, but if it was for me i would have waited a long time.
The games i can't wait for the PS4 are all titles that are still in development. Deep down, FF7 remake, The last guardian, Horizon zero dawn, and even Shenmue 3, which i'd love to play on console.
But for now the only 2 games i played for real are "Bloodborne" (...can't describe it's awesomeness ) and "Destiny: The taken king" (...can't describe how standard and "meh" it can be)
Thank god for Salt and Sanctuary, which ended up to be an incredible game of which the PC port is still nowhere to be seen.
A couple of months ago i was even considering buying Dark souls 3 on PS4; but Loading times and 60 frames on PC made me change my mind and thank god for it, because after having finished it multiple times on PC i managed to try it on a friend's console and, while still perfectly playable, it definitely felt a lot more clunky

I really don't like "adventure games" of that type..i feel they copy too much from standard storytelling (aka "3 act structure") which i rarely find fitting for videogames

I agree the current ps4 exclusive games just aren't really with it. My reason for buying it was for bloodborne now and when they are released Persona 5 and Kingdom Hearts 3. That being said the time between those games is rather large and more than likely I will continue to use my ps3 and Pc more than my ps4 until then.

Just so you know Kingdom Hearts 3 is being made in unreal 4 and taken Square's recent post-sony stock ownership / we need these things running on pc strategy it is definitely possible kingdom hearts 3 will see a pc release. It might feel weird, but if the entire 13 trilogy is available on pc and kingdom hearts will need a pc build for their streaming service then it seems a possibility.

I respect your opinion, and definitely see where your coming from, George. I myself have had an absolute blast with my PS4, and since I didn't get a lot of the big name re-releases on ps3, it has been logical for me to go with the remastered versions. Also note that I do not have a good pc game rig, and seeing how I am having a great time with Destiny, GTAV, and my playstation plus free titles, it fills my needs quite well.

Okay so this is really, really simple in concept.
Consoles are for people that don't want to spend money on PC gaming.
SHOCKING, I know. So yes, of course you, someone who PC games, is going to say "hey, console is redundant."
But me, who has used the same PC for at least 4 years and hasn't upgraded a single thing on it (I know, I mean how can I do that???? I'm behind the times GASP), I am more than happy with what it can do. I don't see the point in investing in updating the PC. My PC will also have shitty issues at the best of times. I simply don't want to have to update the Graphics card for a game, then to find out my memory, hard drive and RAM are now not sufficient to play what I want. I don't want to have to worry about playing a game a year from now being able to be played on my PC because of the fact that specs for a game have changed. I can play both Witcher 2 and 3, and a huge amount of other games, without having to do a damn thing other than buying a console, and I got Witcher 2 for free with a 50 dollar subscription.
I like the idea of spending some money at one time to have a machine that will last me at least 6 years without me having to change a fucking thing on it to be satisfied. I don't have to upgrade anything, as everything made for the machine will work on it. I'll likely never have to worry about the processor not working, or having to close programs on it to play a game, nor will I have to worry about sudden lag for no reason, at least not nearly as much as the time I've played PC games. I'll never have to come back and turn on my console and wait for 5-10 minutes while it catches up because it was in a sleep mode and is having trouble now.
I won't have to do a single one of these things. I prefer this to PC, as PC has been a lot of hassle for me for my whole life. Consoles are plug and play. PCs aren't.
Steven Bishop yeah I agree, some people just don't understand that consoles are made for younger people (5-10) that arn't smart enough to use computers, that's why consoles exist, but once you get old enough you switch over to pc

Modern consoles are redundant, the only reason Console gaming is good is because of pick up and play arcade experiences, but consoles decided to chase the PC market which PC is superior at doing in every single way at often a cheaper cost (a $1000 PC will last you far, far longer than a console since modern games are so held back by Console multiplat hardware + you can adjust settings).
The only console worth shit is the WiiU and that is because Nintendo are the only company that understand that Consoles are about pick up and play arcade goodness, not experiences that are superior in every way on PC.
I always read this and laugh at how stupid people are. Console games and a subscription for online multiplayer alone drive the price up to ridiculous levels. Furthermore if you buy a solid PC it will be able to play everything ABOVE console standard for the entirety of a consoles lifetime, and from there you can just upgrade individual parts if you feel it's lacking or you have to lower your settings too much.

Download times on PS4 are terrible. Last of Us, Ground Zeroes, Siren they took 4 hours to download. But when I bought the games I have on discs they install in a few minutes with mgsv it took a few seconds and then a few minutes for an update.

Haha, I just remembered, how the only reason for me to feel bad about not buying PS4 (I never seriously considered doing it though) was MGSV, the same way I only regret not having PS3 for not having the option to play MGS4. When I heard that it will also come out on PC and X1, I literally burst out laughing. It's like - what games are you hyped about, sonyboys, there isn't a single worthy exclusive to claim Sony's victory in a new generation. So, the only really good exclusive on PS4 right now is BB and that's literally it and there isn't going to be a big change in a future
I have to agree with you. We're a year and a half into next-gen and there's NOTHING out there that's really stellar and "must-buy" for any of the consoles, I don't think (though I may be wrong, I don't own any of them as of yet, but I do pay attention to news and reviews and such) let alone just being significantly different than last-gen. I'm sure it'll happen eventually, but for now, there's no major reason to own them, minus maybe the Wii U for reasons you stated in this video.

You don't have a gaming PC? MGS5 *will* be ported over, while the same is *very* likely to happen with FFXV and both will likely run well on modest hardware.

2016, and I still don't have a PS4 or Xbone. If I get anything at this point, it will be a WiiU.
What the hell is wrong with this generation? I can't even work up the motivation to pirate anything on my 3DS, let alone buy anything. Two years in, and I still only own 3 games for it. The Vita has ended up being a much better purchase, but it's nearly dead in the water outside of Japan. And the WiiU is still selling like freeze dried cat turds despite having the best, and only real library of exclusive games. Some of which actually look fun. (Bayo 2, Splatoon, XenoBlade).
Just got Bayonetta 2 and it's great. If you do end up getting a Wii U, be sure to check that one out.
+Sinuev1 The 3DS library is like the B-side of the Wii U. There are some gems though, like 3D Land, Bravely Default and Etrian Odyssey IV. Also try some indies like Mighty Switch Force 1 and 2, Gunman Clive 1 and 2 and The Legend of Dark Witch. Lastly, all Shantae games so far are available on the 3DS, and the backwards compability is useful since many series that started out on DS have sequels coming to 3DS. The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games are great and the Layton series can be fun. I'm running out of games for the 3DS, but these will last a while if you haven't played any of them.

I own both a Gaming PC and PlayStation platforms (got PS4 on launch), and honestly I prefer to play on a console over PC's I know shocking. To me I view consoles the same way I view Cell Phones and Tablets, a PC can do everything a Cell Phone can do and do it better, but cell phones have there convenience that makes us have them and the same thing goes to consoles, sure that convenience is not enough to some people (like you George), but to allot of other people (like myself) it does.
Again while I may not fully agree with your opinions, I fully respect them and I look forward next video.
p.s. I disagree with the Wii U, personally I think the PS4 is best system, but thats just my opinion.

I don't see any convenience out of a console anymore. Like ToastyMozart said, this isn't 2003. Building a PC requires little knowledge to do, in fact it requires just enough brain power to use TH-cam or Google and you can build small form factor PCs that are pretty much the same size as the PS4 or Xbone. You can also hook your PC up to your TV, and use a controller on the PC for almost any game (and yes, the PS4's controller is compatible with the PC). Steam also replaces the PSN store and the XBL store and you don't have to pay monthly to use it either (sure, $5 a month is nothing but $0 a month is a lot cheaper, no?).

So you have a particular taste for games and you blame the PS4 for having different kinds of games? You mention that there isn't much interesting in the demo-list, but many games don't have demos (sure its not great but thats a different discussion). The PS4 has some nice excusives but you are forgetting you already own a pc so you are not limited to what the PS4 has to offer. You also seem to forget a few exclusive games that are available. But like i said, they might not be of your taste. Thats all fine but you seem to want to blame the PS4 for everything, that just doesn't seem fair. Plus you seem to be blaming games for what they never said they would. The Order was never about unique new gameplay, it was about graphics (much like Ryse on X1)
And by the way, the Xbox one has more AAA exclusives right now. But if you only like fighting games and games with dungeons or whatever, yeah you probably will not have a lot of fun with your consoles. But if you like racing, sports, action adventures and open world games, then consoles offer a lot more.
