I was born in Trinidad but my parents moved to Canada when I was a wee lad. I went back around 2000 to visit my home land before starting my Masters degree and I was so overwhelmed by what I experienced. No matter where this life takes me and what I do for a career, home will always be home. I felt so much peace and like I truly belong despite being away for so long. I love my adopted home in Canada and would not trade it for anything or anywhere but home is home!
@@beforeyougotravel No and we lived on Ramey AFB on Puerto Rico for a year before that. My oldest sister was born there and we haven’t been back there either. It’s a different world now.
Good on You Michelle; my sister Diana and attended Miss Richie's Prvate School situated at outside one of the gates to Laperouse Cemetery and further up the main road was the Trinidad Dairies.1951-1952 and from 1952-1955 I attended Mr Worme's Private School,Baden Powell Street in Woodbrook; good and bad memories; we'll empathise the positive attractions for a moment which this visit does; but there is a subtext of life for the average citizen in Trinidad; lack of protection on the streets and communities that are not gated;I was thinking about Peter Smith a visitor to Tobago recently who was attacked by a Bull Shark while swimming off a beach in Tobago; how is he doing?
Hello. Thank you for sharing. The suggestions offered are superb, however there are many other must sees. These are, but not limited to: 1) the pitch lake in southern trinidad. 2) La vigie lookout in Paramin 3) go leatherback turtle watching on trinidad's east coast Looking forward to more.
