One of the fascinating aspects of Rechungpa's biography that many monks neglect to mention (sometimes intentionally) is that he was essentially a Yogi in the purest Vajrayana sense. That is, his behavior was always beyond all social convention. He was also known for his physical beauty and magnetism, and thus also gave numerous transmissions and teachings to women.

Rechung Dorje Drak (Tib. རས་ཆུང་རྡོ་རྗེ་གྲགས་, Wyl. ras chung rdo rje grags) or Rechungpa (Tib. རས་ཆུང་པ་, Wyl. ras chung pa) (1083/5-1161) was one of the main disciples of Jetsün Milarepa. In later biographies, he is mentioned as the second most important of Milarepa's students, the 'moon-like' disciple, with Gampopa being the foremost, and compared to the sun. Rechungpa, as his name suggests, was a cotton-clad yogin, unlike Gampopa who was a monk.

What specific Tibetan dialect did Jetsun Milarepa and Rechungpa talk to each other? Is there a pathway to trace now for Rechungpa’s cave? I mean like pilgrimage map. Thank you. You are doing a great work.

Hinduism or brahmanism came from vajrayana buddhism. Brahma Ganesh and Shiva was originally deities of vajrayana buddhism later they adopted in Brahminism later became Hinduism.

Its other way round. Shiva is mentioned in Rigveda which is the oldest text long predating Buddhism.

Why brahma ,indra ,shiva is considered as dharmaprotecters in buddhism

because orgin of those deities are from buddhism. There later adopted in brahminasim which we called today Hinduism. And Indian schools we never though about this history of buddhism.

@@saugamathazine1959 how come if buddhism appeared after hinduism creation? Brahma concept is used by Rishis in the vedas milenia ago. As it is Indra and Vishnu...

Shiva offered tathagat for hide and seek to prove if he was the awakened one and Shiva'd hide in the river but tathagat found him then tathagat's turn to hide but Shiva couldn't find him because tathagat was there on his scalp hair all the time .once Shiva lose he agreed to become dharma Protector.
