Unfortunately people use slangs like Gaumutri drinker or Gobar chap to look themselves cool on social media... Its so refreshing that you guys are brining the real India from Himachal to our living rooms.
My Naani used to make all sorts of everyday items, grain storage, designer plasters for walls, and top them up with vibrant color designs...... she is no more but I still clearly remember those from my childhood. Happy Memories 😊😊

Greetings from the land of earthships. I designed my 1000 sq. ft. passive solar adobe house in northern New Mexico 33 years ago. Considered building an earhship at the time. Several years ago the NM governor cut off the gas for about 5 days to 30,000 people in my area when the weather went down to 25 degrees below zero (Fahrenheit, not Celsius). My gas boiler froze but the geraniums in my south window survived. My house now has no heat, but I dress warm in the winter and the geraniums and I do just fine. My sister was an artist with adobe, plastered walls with different colored clays mixed with mica, including bas relief work. I helped her a bit with the basic mix and base coat. Mud is heavy. I think her mud mix used quite a bit more straw, and we always used sand mixed with clay/dirt. No cow dung.

I'm form churah valley here also such houses present but people are going towards rcc. This is a great initiative by those lahulies guys because now days people wanted to build such houses with some morden way but Mason's and expert's to build such houses is difficult to get. That NGO should work with the people who are interested to learn and adopt it as profession.
