Hi Doug, I have been having an issue with one of my machines. I think it may be unloader related or some kind of leak that we can’t find just wondering if I could get your opinion if you have encountered the issue before. Multiple repair centers have no answer and are stumped.
On trigger, psi is perfect and no symptoms. Off trigger the unloader goes into bypass just fine but pressure bleeds off immediately. Bypass spikes to 3800 then immediately begins dropping, I let it drop to a 1000psi before getting nervous about where the water pressure is disappearing to. All new valves and seals in the pump, cat 5cp gx390 vrt3, no visible leak’s anywhere, no drips or sprays, oil in crank case does not increase. Only symptoms is rapid pressure drop immediately after entering bypass. Pressure comes back immediately when back on the trigger.
I'd definitely start with the unloader. Change it out and see if that fixes it.
Wow it's not cheap that's for sure.
