Unfortunately I live up north and our big box stores have very little in the way of houseplants. I focus more on houseplants in the winter months because I’m not able to garden outside. I would think because us northerners can’t get outside more houseplants would be available to us to fulfill our need to bring a little of the outdoors inside. I guess I just don’t understand why more plants aren’t available to us. Come spring all of my attention is focused on outdoor gardening. ❄️💚🙃

OMG! I randomly saw the cuddly cactus at CVS while I was minding my business running errands 🤣 I had no idea what it was and figured it was fake because I’ve never seen plants at CVS. I thought it was a cute-wax-plant-looking thingy until I picked it up and saw that the soil was real. I was shocked 😱 It was $22, but cheaper with my coupon. I took a picture of it to show at my local plant shop when buying cactus soil for it, and was told that it’s a Peruvian apple cactus. I felt lucky because I wasn’t looking for it, it was just chilling by the granola at my local CVS ♥️🌵😄
I took that Hoya Curtsiaii. I asked the cashier for the discount and she said that Exotic Angel comes back to take back all the plants in bad shape and they don’t do discounts. I took it to customer service and she gave me half off of it, $7.00. I think it just needs to dry out. I’m a sucker for plant rescue and rehabilitation. I notice the sprinkler or watering system is right over the hanging baskets.

I remember a few years back when I really wanted one I couldn’t find it anywhere. Now they are making a comeback. The one you got is so lush and stunning. Such a great price. That last Agleonema is just beautiful. Yes, you really outdid yourself. Wonderful haul.

They also had some dying Christmas cactus. I don’t even know why they have them if they don’t know how to take care of them. I was just checking to see if they had been reduced.
I read a few of the comments before watching and I thought they meant the first aglaonema. Then, I saw the pink stems of the candy cane one and my heart skipped a beat. Oh my 🥰.
Oh yeah one thing about the big box stores and aglaonemas-Make sure you check if they have those plastic thingies trapping the roots-the last time I bought an aglaonema from a big box store they had a plastic thing holding the plants together. I didn’t catch it in time, because I didn’t want to really mess with the roots - long story short, the plant didn’t survive because it messed with the roots. You got some great plants! 🎉 can you do an aglaonema collection video!?

I bought a beautiful Lemon Lime Maranta, (Prayer Plant), from Walmart last week. It is a 10" hanging basket. Healthy, happy and HUGE. $19.98. Prices have gone up, but worth every penny! 😎

I was in CVS the other day and I saw those cactus. They caught my eye but I didn’t get any. I kept telling myself that I would go back to get one especially since they were on clearance 50% off at the CVS I went to. I’m definitely gonna go back and get one now. hopefully they are still there.

Take heart, I live in South Mississippi and shop at home and in South Alabama. Our stores are very bare bones.
