Bird's 49 point triple double against Portland in the final year of his career, when he was wearing a back brace, and his back was vanilla yogurt.
Bro, where can we send you an original Larry bird jersey? White or green? My daughter has access to jersey's. Let us know. These jersey's are legit, and certified. 1984. 😎Hardwood Classics.

Here’s a video about Birds iconic trash talk line th-cam.com/video/xoWDf7dqDTk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cCHAzzr9pZp72k4O
It has some new video but it’s a little hard to watch because it’s the same story told by 5 or 6 players. That causes a lot of cuts between the different stories because he’s trying to keep the stories kinda lined up with each other.

Tom Chambers was a really good player, the fact that Larry did him like that is insane

Those two rookies learned how to better play against someone like Bird, when to double team and when not to. In other words, they learned better team play.

100%, understanding that gravity that a great scorer imposes on the court from their shot combined with the pass threat is a big first step towards slowing and stopping them

Bird was already dealing with his bad back when Reggie came into the league. So it was fair.

With 20,049 career points, Tom Chambers is the highest-scoring NBA player who's not already in the Hall of Fame. He was a four-time All-Star

Robert Parish shared a story on Michael Cooper's podcast that at the jump circle before a game against Seattle, Bird caught fact that Tom Chambers was going to guard him. Bird went up to Chambers and said, "There's only one man that can guard me, and that's God." 😂😂😂😂

Bird gang❤Shaw and Lewis played with him at the end of his career . Lewis came to the team in 1987.Shaw was drafted to Celtics in 1988.Now remember Bird had double Achilles surgery and missed all but 6 games and when he came back had to use a back brace to be able to play. So when he played that 2 on one that was no where near his prime. Bird was just amazing. Great reaction! Glad to have you back.wstch the Reggie Lewis story. After losing Lin Bias Larry retired then Reggie Lewis death it was hard to for Brian Shaw and the Celtics to come back from that. There is a video that covers that subject. Worth the watch. Also there is an interview showing all of birds announcement to the press. You can see how he had chemistry with his team including both Shaw and Lewis. I would have to look to find the videos. But again worth your time.❤

He used to run a 5k daily to stay conditioned. He’d also shoot for several hours. He wasn’t a lite weight.

Larry had quick hands, and his passes were too fast for opposing players to react.

Tom Chambers was a baller! Big, versatile, athletic Tom got some posters on a lot of people. He put his nuts on Mark Jackson's neck on one of his famous ones

Tom Chambers has scored 22,000 points in his career is not in the NBA Hall of Fame. Awesome stretch forward probably one of the original stretch forwards.
you need to watch two videos: His career highlight video then also the video that is titled just “the dunk” which is the dunk over Mark Jackson and what it meant for the team as a time.
I consider it the greatest Dunk in NBA history. There are some flashier some with
more hang maybe but I don’t know if there’s one with such force.. it’s the essence of the dunk.
Bobby Jones over Larry Bird can only be described as “white on white crime. Bobby was the “secretary of defense” and the greatest sixth man ever.

I'm tired of the NON-athletic talk too! Doesn't look too slow to me! Many rival players SAID that they never knew what he was going to do! Lol, his own teammates even said it! 😂 Larry Legend videos never get old. Lol. Thank you.

I can tell you that Brian Shaw was an entitled not very good player. I remember he got drafted by Boston and then he had a temper tantrum and said “I am not playing there” and he wet to play in Italy. Eventually he came to Boston and the hype was big and he was just another slightly above average Role player. Not a difference maker. He thought he was another superstar in the league and got humbled when he realized that he was good for an average Joe but not a difference maker in the NBA

Thank you for trying to squash the idea that Larry Bird was not athletic. He could not have played against the best, and won against the best if he was not athletic.
