I feel like when runners race beamish they should be thinking “If I can’t see him with 100 to go I definitely should keep the inside closed” I mean i think he has won 3-4 races just by kicking through a gap that was made on the inside.
i know, its really crazy and just so sad.. doesn't make any sense. he already has the good personal brand too. holt mania.. not to mention out performs a lot of other pros. Same with Maddie Boreman.
If Beamish could just learn to use that kick off a faster pace, say, at 1:55 for 800m to around 2:53 or so for 1,200m, he'd be something special. As it is, it's still too easy to run the kick out of him with a fast overall pace or with strong negative splits...
It's one of the reasons he is experimenting with the 3000m Steeplechase. He is an amazing athlete but by International standards, isn't fast enough for 1500m. Having a tremendous "kick" is very advantageous in a relatively slow race but up against a fast run race... well, enough said. As a fellow Kiwi, I wish him well in whichever distance he focuses on. Cheers.
@@asterixdogmatix1073 Yeah, congrats to Geordie. As I said, he can finish fast in a slower race. (The Indoor 1500m final was a "slower" race.) A 3.28 pace would blunt a fast finish. He hasn't as yet, got close to 3.30. I hope he does because there are half a dozen runners currently under 3.30. Olympics are normally a strategic race, ideal for the fast finishers. Cheers
On running been killing it lately

Savage last 75m. Beamish is that guy.
Flotrack intermittently releasing race footage makes me click so fast every time 👏
I miss Carlos Villareal , he would've done something super special here
Just seen him win the 1500m World Champs
bro get holt a sponsorship already, like what is taking so long

MGR left the door open on the inside for his teammate ;).
when his teammate moved off the inside, all I thought was, "Shake and Bake"
What a finish

I want to be young again my brothers… tears… what a race!
High beamish blinded everyone from the inside.
Team Work 😊.
this vid feels like a year late.
Interview during the race was a little bit annoying
Unbelievable race from Callum Elson. Got boxed in could of done better than that

Why would someone open the door like that. So inexperienced or it was planned. Really poor running in the lead. Tell him I said so.
Let’s see who can run the fastest 60m every time 🤦🏾♂️ everyone wants to be a kicker and don’t have the speed
Tf u talking about
Have you run under 4? That was fast. Could have been a little bit faster but it made for an exciting finish.
@@samuelmetzner4947 i think he is saying one of the slower or endurance guys should have pushed the pace earlier
Anyone her after world indoors . TEXTBOOK📚📚📚
