I was literally thinking about how Clearsight making an entire tribe made no sense even if she had a bunch of dragonets, and I made up an au where some NightWings got washed to the Pantalan coast because I made the NightWing island closeish to Pantala. Excited to see your take though, I'm going to watch the video now :D
Amazing story! I thought I was the only one who had a Nightwings Pantala AU. My story was of two Nightwings called Destinycaller and Powerseeker, a couple, who had left the volcano a year into the war, wanting a safe place for their future children. They would learn of the Hivewings rule and in fear would live underground where they would be exposed to the Breath of Evil. Destinycaller and Powerseeker under its control but their son, Chance had been affected by the plant but was not controlled by it. His egg hatched with a full moon and he was gifted with mind reading but with the influence of the Breath of Evil he was able to see dragons thoughts and manipulate them. Unlike the Breath of Evil that could only control a dragons body, Chance could control a dragons thoughts, memories and personality traits. Great work ❤
I’m barely a few minutes into the video and I’m loving it as my OCs’ story (set 300-500 years after TFOH) all the Nightwings got tired of the Rainforest and t trying the rebuild the talon peninsula so they moved to the southern portion of Pantala
I may have a list of ideas 😅 What if the pants lan dragons never left pyrhia? What if sunny wasn't a hybrid? What if hvitur made it with the egg unharmed? What if dark stalker decided to let whiteout have the power of the 3 moons, also? What if darkstalker ruled over Pyrhia in place of being trapped in a mountain? What if the night wings kept having seers and mind readers?
Wait If the Nightwings fled to Pantala.. What if the Rainwings made the prophecy and Starflight was a mistake in the dragonet prophecy and Glory wasn't? DID I JUST COME UP WITH A WHAT IF IDEA- I CANT EVEN STORY TELL
Honestly, the prophecy might as well be a lot less likely to happen if not at all, considering the prophecy was written by nightwings. But it's still an interesting concept!
On a more serious note, the pacing was what absolutely slayed. This story was 40 minutes long, yet the timing for everything was absolutely perfect. Nothing went by too fast, nothing went by too slow. Everything was executed just right. It’s amazing how you told such an amazing tale in such a short time! This would’ve taken me like 3 hours, lol😂🤣
I know that compared to your subscriber count and how many views and comments you get on these that you’ll probably get tired of making these videos or just discussing WoF in general. But I want you to know just how much you’ve helped me with my writing because of niche little topics like this. It’s difficult for me to find in-depth outside opinions on characters, plot choices, etc. Despite Wings of Fire being a very popular series, I haven’t really found much discussion on the previously mentioned topics since most of us are more interested in shipping or animating our favorite characters to goofy sounds and whatnot. Very few are willing to have a deep discussions on what character’s actions mean for the plot going forward and stuff like that. And I know that WoF will eventually fade out into obscurity, and these kinds of thoughts will be lost. And so I appreciate what you bring to this very small table, because nobody has bothered to expand it by giving their own thoughts and opinions. Just an idea but maybe for another 'what if' you could do luna becoming queen of the silkwings? I kinda hated the part in book 15 when we where told that there where nearly 200 silkwings ruling over the tribe. Luna being queen would fit her personality and goals so well, because she wants to change things and help her tribe so being queen would be perfect for her. Also shes a flamesilk and basically one of the first rebellious silkings. Plus I thought the silkwings would have wanted to still have a queen because they sound like they kinda like being told what to do. ofc this is just an idea so you don't have to do it lol =)
Here are some ideasss • what if moon never went to the academy and what if her egg was actually stolen, and ended up in the wrong claws? •what if the pantala dragons weren’t the one going to the ice kingdom? What if it was queen scarlet or the night wings? •what if darkstalker never died.
I have a idea for a what if! What if Darkstalker had a little brother? I always thought of the idea because maybe things could turn out a bit different like maybe the potential sibling could be a animus or have powers like mind reading or can see the future and could try to make Darkstalker actually turn into a better dragon or maybe things would end up worse than the original plot for Wings of fire when it came to Darkstalker.

The more I listened to this the more worried I was that the (I presume) Beetlewing character was infected by the Othermind.. The way you say that he had lost his home and, seemingly, not in a position to just return to the tribe. Quite a relief that it didn't turn out that way.
This is a very intresting AU, wonder what changes for both Pantala and Pyrrhia.. Some NightWings did stay on Pyrrhia, would the arcs still happen the same?

She was scared of them attacking him. After all, that were quite skittish due to the trauma of everything going on. She does introduce him after the story, once the NightWings have had time to process -- and it does go well :D

This is amazing but one detail is that the night wings are a nocturnal tribe so the night wings would be asleep during day and wake at night
