i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Marco Esteban Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
I just copied your exact setup on my 2012 Z71. Same exact wheels & leveling kit. Same size tires but I got the Terra Grapplers instead of Trail Grapplers. I trimmed my fenders the same as you did. I saw your truck on silveradosierra forums and loved it right away. Thanks for the tips. I get tons of compliments on the stance of my truck.
For those of you who are actually about to do this, based on this guy's videos... STOP! If you pay attention, the guy changed to a smaller tire because he was still rubbing in the middle of the turn. I have the exact same setup on the exact same truck and purchased the exact same tire option and I had to do a TON of trimming and cutting (even more than he did) and I'm still rubbing on an incline. I have absolutely no clearance for off-roading. After all that cutting/trimming/ cussing, I decided there's no option but putting a lift kit on the truck.. Cutting your truck this much for a set of 305/55/20s is completely stupid. Trust me, I know. Now I have to clean and re-paint all the metal that I cut on a regular basis and try to fabricate some sort of shield to protect it from mud and rocks.
Steven R i have a 2" leveling kit on a 13 silverado and run 275 65 20s (34" tires) and have no issues while off roading. i would get bigger tires but i really dont want to do a 6"lift.
Steven R i understand that, i wrote my comment so other people could see an option for a larger tire without having to cut and trim or having to go with a large lift.
Steven R i understand that, i wrote my comment so other people could see an option for a larger tire without having to cut and trim or having to go with a large lift.
Dude that is an awesome looking truck. I've got a 2012 silverado with 2@1/2 rough country leveling kit installed with general grabber 33x12.50 20. Truck is the same color with All chrome everywhere. Thanks for the video. This is all I have left to do.
Thanks, it always amazes me how wheels and tires make a huge difference on the look of a vehicle. I actually have an F-150 right now myself, I keep switching between Chevy and Ford.
I solved all my problems to rubbing. 7.5 suspension 3 inch body. Just bought some 20x12 -44 off set fuel mavericks. On 37x13.50r20. I think ima have to trim now
Depends on the lift. That size tire is 34.57 inches tall in diameter. The 305/55/20s I have on there are a 33.39" in diameter, so they are over 1 inch taller. You would need probably at least a 3.5 to 4" lift to clear that tire and probably some trimming.
They were like $350 from a seller on eBay. If your looking for some, just search for clazzio seat covers on eBay. They make a huge difference and are extremely comfortable
Dude, take the door protectors off and you won't be disappointed. I took mine off and put the Z71 badge under the silverado lettering. What a big difference
I have not noticed any of that yet, but I have tried to keep them cleaned up in the winter because pitting can easily occur if you dont. I am actually considering a black set for the winter for this very reason.
cool truck looks great, i put some 17x8.5 -0- offset method race wheels on 33x12.50 general grabbers on my '09 silverado. 2.5" leveling kit and didnt have to do any cutting thank god.
Nice truck!!!! Jus bought a 2012 Z71 and gettin ready to put a 6 inch lift and was lookin for wheelz and tires but so hard to pick an offset when u dont know what it will look like, so you jus sold me on the rims and tires...im gonna get the black and chrome goliaths and trail grappler 35s...u dont know how much u helped by posting offset!!!! Beautiful truck and thanks again!!!!
I am glad this was helpful. I was in the same position when looking for wheels and tires. Its tough to know what they will look like, I never saw this set up on a truck, I just got lucky.
I have pretty much the exact same truck. 2007 white GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 20 inch rims that came with it etc... These are the tires i'm hoping to get in the next 2 weeks but i've been told I need a lift for them to fit... which i don't mind at all because I want them to fit comfortably and I don't mind having more clearance and sitting a little higher... I actually have a leveling kit on it now but they are telling me it would rub very badly if they'd fit at all (without the lift)... so I'm going to get the leveling kit removed and put a rough country 3 and a half inch lift on it then put 33 inch trail grapplers on mine. Did you have to lift it at all? Looks like you just cut as you said in the video.
Thanks for posting, in the same situation with my 07 superduty. Big investment wheels and tires and I want it to look good! I'll keep researching till i get it figured out, your vid helped. Nice lookin truck!
Looks good, however I have the same truck and do believe the color looks better with black wheels hahaha..I'm running 285/70/17 falken at3w with a 3" level, aftermarket control arms/ball joints, suspension, diff drop etc. make a huge difference
I have a 2008 silverado 1500 extended cab, and I'm thinking of putting 20inch factory runs. Do you think this can ruin the truck or if I would have to cut anything?
hey man, seen your pickup on silveradosierra, sweet setup just wondering did they rub when you had the bfg all terrains on them? and was the fuel economy better with the a/t's
Looks great man. I've been deciding forever between the Toyo Open Country M/Ts and the Trail Grapplers. Think I'm gonna go with the Trail Grapplers after watching this.
Do you think the fitment (specifically the front) would be the same for your truck as a suburban or Tahoe same year? I'm planning to do the same thing to my suburban w/ leveling kit and want 0 offset wheels as well.
awesome set up man. I have a 2011 Sierra 1500 4x4 midnight blue. Little over a year old so stock tires are still good. I plan on getting these nittos when Im ready to buy. Leather covers look bad ass too.
I have an 09 Silverado with a 2.5 inch leveling kit, looking at some 20x9 wheels with -12 offset and tire size of 285/50/20. Any idea if these will rub?
Good looking set up man, I wanted to get 20×10 the ballistic rage wheels I dont think they make them with 0 offset I think they start at -19 offset on 33×12 on my 2" leveling kit I have a 2014 Silverado 1500, I wanted to ask you how much would that stick my on the side of my truck and do you think it will rubb?
+18 is the offset of the wheel. This is a very important factor when choosing a wheel/tire combo. Google wheel offset explained, and find out where the tire is rubbing, upper control arm and sway bar, or bumper/fender. If I know your offset and full tire specs I can probably help.
Sounds like you need to push the wheel out away from the truck. You can get wheel spacers at any rim/tire shop for fairly cheap that will get the tire out more to give it more clearance to turn. I would also suggest a front only leveling kit. 2.75" if they make one for the 2500. If not you can always turn up your torsion keys a bit to lift the front end. Check into wheel spacers first though.
@714BroDGAF The seat heaters were like $85 on ebay, that was for both front seats. It was pretty easy to install, only difficult part was the wiring. I ended up using a relay and that worked great.
I have the same truck and want to put that tire on there also. How bad did your gas mileage go down. Also how long does the tread last on these tires? Thanks
Good looking rig bud! Have you noticed any pitting/rusting/dulling on the rims? I want the shiny ones as well but I think the black will hold up to the elements a bit better. I live in Canada and they salt the roads in winter.
i have an 07 gmc sierra want to put on the same setup but the dealer keeps telling me i'm going to need fender flares to do it. doesnt look like they stick out that bad but that could just be the way they look on video. its illegal to have them stick out too far have you had any problems?
I have an 07 Chevy Avalanche and put the 18" Rockstar rims w 0 offset with 285/65/18 Nitto's. It is killing the front inside of the wheel well. I don't understand why yours are not hitting at all in the front? Almost the same set up.
Thanks for the video. Just put 305/40/22's on my 07 2500hd, and have the same problem. I don't. Want to lift my truck anymore,so this is a great option. Your truck is very cool looking. Where did you get the seat covers from?
What kind of lift , or leveling kit do you have ? and how much of a lift ? Your truck looks great !! Very neat work , one the best looking cut-outs I've seen !! love the heat gun and rolling the edge out , would not have thought to do that !! again really great looking ride ,something to be proud of !!
Why is the sidewall smaller than the other trail grapplers like the normal ones are longer the sidewall on these they are shorter. Somebody answer cuz I'm buying some of these tires soon and I want the long sidewall and just an FYI I'm getting Lt295/70R18
whats the tallest tire i can put on a 1500 sierra with no lift, just leveled? i want a tire to fill in the fender gap. and am keeping my factory wheels
Truck looks great. Love the rims where did you get them from? What brand? I got a 2011 red silverado I was going to get black rims, but after your video I just changed my mind.
I paid $20,000 for it in Oct. 2011. It is a 2007, it has roughly 75k miles on it. I thought it was a good deal when I bought it. And then I only paid $900 for the wheels/tires in the video
Love the truck! Nice job bro. How is the ground Clarence with the leveling kit and tires? I want the same thing but I want to be able to take it off roading without worrying about ground Clarence. Oh btw how much did it cost u for the seats and heaters for them? Thanks I'll be sure to hit the sub button!
Here is a link to the Level kit I used. amzn.to/2Rl1k1x
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid lost my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Brayden Bjorn Instablaster ;)
@Marco Esteban Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and im trying it out now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Marco Esteban It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
@Brayden Bjorn glad I could help xD
What is important is that you are happy what you done to your nice Silverado!
What’s important is that I get millions of views on this video! 😀
I just copied your exact setup on my 2012 Z71. Same exact wheels & leveling kit. Same size tires but I got the Terra Grapplers instead of Trail Grapplers. I trimmed my fenders the same as you did. Congratulations, but my comment was regarding a 305 tire, which is wider.
Steven R i understand that, i wrote my comment so other people could see an option for a larger tire without having to cut and trim or having to go with a large lift.
Steven R i understand that, i wrote my comment so other people could see an option for a larger tire without having to cut and trim or having to go with a large lift.
It’s not that bad
Looks sweet! Not lifted up too high and not too low, exactly what it needs
Exactly
Looks badass not overdone not under done. Perfect ratio
Thanks!
Dude that is an awesome looking truck. I've got a 2012 silverado with 2@1/2 rough country leveling kit installed with general grabber 33x12.50 20. Truck is the same color with All chrome everywhere. Thanks for the video. This is all I have left to do.
Nice!
You only have leveling kit on the front of your truck with 33” tires??? Does it rubb anywhere???
This is one of the nicest looking 07 Chevys I've seen and I'm a Ford man. Nice job brother.
Thanks, it always amazes me how wheels and tires make a huge difference on the look of a vehicle. I actually have an F-150 right now myself, I keep switching between Chevy and Ford.
I have a 2010. Looks exactly the same. Just saw this video and now I’m getting 35’s
Sweet! What kind of a lift are you putting on?
@@Myksgarage 2.5 leveling kit. I started to really trim a lot of it so it won’t rub.
How did it turn out?
dude nice video. haters gonna hate, end of the day your video helped people.
Thanks for watching
I solved all my problems to rubbing. 7.5 suspension 3 inch body. Just bought some 20x12 -44 off set fuel mavericks. On 37x13.50r20. I think ima have to trim now
Now that’s a lift!
thanks bud this is exactly what ive been wondering about
👍
Awesome was thinking of cutting that metal piece off of my truck to stop the rubbing but wasn't sure it it would work. Guess I'll give it a try
👍
Thank u
Thanks for watching
Depends on the lift. That size tire is 34.57 inches tall in diameter. The 305/55/20s I have on there are a 33.39" in diameter, so they are over 1 inch taller. You would need probably at least a 3.5 to 4" lift to clear that tire and probably some trimming.

Good suggestion! Thanks for watching!
thanks, good looking girl right there.
89 k5 blazer, 02 Tahoe LT, 05 Sierra Pro Sport ext cab, 2010 GMC Sierra All Terrain crew cad 5.3
Thanks for watching
I have not noticed any of that yet, but I have tried to keep them cleaned up in the winter because pitting can easily occur if you dont. I am actually considering a black set for the winter for this very reason.
i had a 2002 gmc yukon with 150,000 miles on it until i traded it in last year and it ran fine
They are good trucks!
cool truck looks great, i put some 17x8.5 -0- offset method race wheels on 33x12.50 general grabbers on my '09 silverado. 2.5" leveling kit and didnt have to do any cutting thank god.
Nice!
GM has yet to discover that round tires don't fit in square fenders
so true!!! but the new GMC and Chevy's look good. Especially in that midnight blue!
Yeah, Ford has it figured out!
dconner50
I mean they obviously do, just not as well hence why they’re the most lifted vehicle on the market
I actually just switched to a +18 and it works out better, I agree
Thanks, the tires are awesome you will love them!
Thanks for watching
I am glad this was helpful. I was in the same position when looking for wheels and tires. Its tough to know what they will look like, I never saw this set up on a truck, I just got lucky.
going to get 295/70R17 nittos tomorrow on my sierra leveled 2.5" itll be tight but cant wait
Joseph Foster wat do u mean mexican?
Sounds nice!
love the truck
Thanks dude!
awesome truck love those wheels and tires
Thanks, glad you like it
Gorgeous rims and tires, man!
Thanks
It is more noticable that the stock 17" highway tires that were on it, but the look of the truck makes up for additional road noise.
Great video, helped me out a lot. Definitely going for the 305/55/20. Thanks
Nice!
Yes that is a slight concern, but it really wasnt that bad, you could even add fender flares that would help reduce that
I have pretty much the exact same truck. Did you have to lift it at all? Looks like you just cut as you said in the video.
Yeah I just cut it and it worked out well
Great look! What do guys think about 305/70R18's on a 2004 Z71 with the 2" lift and level? Would I have an issue with scrubbing at all? Thanks!
Might be a tight fit
Thanks for posting, in the same situation with my 07 superduty. Big investment wheels and tires and I want it to look good! I'll keep researching till i get it figured out, your vid helped. Nice lookin truck!
Thanks
Looks good, however I have the same truck and do believe the color looks better with black wheels hahaha..I'm running 285/70/17 falken at3w with a 3" level, aftermarket control arms/ball joints, suspension, diff drop etc. make a huge difference
Yeah black does look good. Thanks for watching
I got some 18 inch rims came on my 2010 z71. Same truck. I'm judging the tires probably got around 20% left and I'll need some around tax season.
👍
Very nice truck. great video. good information.
Thanks for watching
I have a 2008 silverado 1500 extended cab, and I'm thinking of putting 20inch factory runs. Do you think this can ruin the truck or if I would have to cut anything?
No, just keep the same tires size as factory which is a 275/55/20
Rough Country 2" Level Kit (the bottom strut spacer style)
Its only $65 and I installed it myself, it is fairly easy to do.
hey man, seen your pickup on silveradosierra, sweet setup just wondering did they rub when you had the bfg all terrains on them? and was the fuel economy better with the a/t's
Yes better fuel economy with the all terrain tires
I bet it looks great!
Great video, do you think if I do a 2.5 level kit, will still rub with this setup?
Most likley, I have a 3" 1:2 ratio spacer and I'm on 20" rockstar with same size tires they still rub a little
It still might be close
Probably not, the level kit might void the warranty on the front suspension components, if any thing
I like it, it was cheap like $65 and fairly easy to install myself.
Looks great man. I've been deciding forever between the Toyo Open Country M/Ts and the Trail Grapplers. Think I'm gonna go with the Trail Grapplers after watching this.
Did u ever decide?
I was told Toyo and intros are made by same ppl at same place pretty much
I’m going nittos because toyo sounds too much like Toyota
I’d go with the Toyo
I have a 2010silverado 1500 with a rough country strut leveling kit an I want to run 18x10 neg 24s. What tire size will work without trimming?
Not sure
hit this link and put in your truck info and then see what everyone else is riding on.. www.customwheeloffset.com/search-wheel-offset-gallery
Do you think the fitment (specifically the front) would be the same for your truck as a suburban or Tahoe same year? I'm planning to do the same thing to my suburban w/ leveling kit and want 0 offset wheels as well.
Yeah should be the same for a Tahoe/suburban
awesome set up man. I have a 2011 Sierra 1500 4x4 midnight blue. Little over a year old so stock tires are still good. I plan on getting these nittos when Im ready to buy. Leather covers look bad ass too.
Thanks for watching
Yeah, those should fit, just depends on the wheel specs
Thanks!
Chrome putco door handles would look great on there
Oh yeah!
I have an 09 Silverado with a 2.5 inch leveling kit, looking at some 20x9 wheels with -12 offset and tire size of 285/50/20. Any idea if these will rub?
Rub like crazy. I have 285/55/20 with 9.5 wheels with -6 offset. They rub and I had to trim the plastic just like this guy did
Yes it will rub, stay with a positive offset
Thanks Man!
I was thinking about purchasing 33x12.5r20 offset +18mm for my silverado. I installed the 2.5 leveling kit would they rub? Would i need to cut it?
Yeah bro mine rub I got toyo open country 33x12.5 and 20 inch fuel rims 20x9 and they rub
It’ll be close but should work
Seat covers?..looks legit!! 👍👍👍
thanks!
Victor Ortega yes I think it will rub badly.
I havent had any problems, I am not sure if there is a limit where I live in Utah, but havent had a problem with them.
I fit a 33" mt with a levelling kit. Got a +18 to save paint and rub. No fender cutting required.
I just got 33s on 20" rims on my 07 2500hd and they are rubbing what is +18? I need a quick fix cheap
+18 is the offset of the wheel. This is a very important factor when choosing a wheel/tire combo. Google wheel offset explained, and find out where the tire is rubbing, upper control arm and sway bar, or bumper/fender. If I know your offset and full tire specs I can probably help.
Rubbing plastics in wheel well at about 50% turn. Not front only the rear front plastics
Check into wheel spacers first though.
gm-trucks.com is a great source and will have plenty of threads of the same question.
Thanks
It dropped about 20%
Yes they rubbed very slightly, usually only in reverse. Check out my other vids!!
Good looking rig bud! Have you noticed any pitting/rusting/dulling on the rims? I want the shiny ones as well but I think the black will hold up to the elements a bit better. I live in Canada and they salt the roads in winter.
Yes, some putting has occurred
I have 2010 silver 4wd, I have black rims with light silver accent 20” wheels… I’m looking to put some more aggressive tires on them..
No spacers in the front. Wheels are bolted up directly to the rotor. They are a 20x9 with a 0 offset.
i have an 07 gmc sierra want to put on the same setup but the dealer keeps telling me i'm going to need fender flares to do it. doesnt look like they stick out that bad but that could just be the way they look on video. its illegal to have them stick out too far have you had any problems?
I don’t think you need flares
this is great video so i have idea of what size tire i needed with my 3.5 inch lift
👍
I have an 07 Chevy Avalanche and put the 18" Rockstar rims w 0 offset with 285/65/18 Nitto's. It is killing the front inside of the wheel well. I don't understand why yours are not hitting at all in the front? Almost the same set up.
Do you have it leveled?
Thanks for the video. Just put 305/40/22's on my 07 2500hd, and have the same problem. I don't. Want to lift my truck anymore,so this is a great option. Your truck is very cool looking. Where did you get the seat covers from?
I got them off eBay, they are made by clazzio
TIM Mcwashington do a video man
What kind of lift , or leveling kit do you have ? and how much of a lift ? Your truck looks great !! Very neat work , one the best looking cut-outs I've seen !! love the heat gun and rolling the edge out , would not have thought to do that !! again really great looking ride ,something to be proud of !!
Just a 2” rough country level kit
Great looking truck, when will u put up a vid of it with the new rims and tires I like those better? Plus did they rub
New ones didn’t rub
Gas Mileage decreased by about 30% which is quite bit. I didnt keep the tires very long so I cant comment on the longevity, but they do look awesome!
Why is the sidewall smaller than the other trail grapplers like the normal ones are longer the sidewall on these they are shorter. Somebody answer cuz I'm buying some of these tires soon and I want the long sidewall and just an FYI I'm getting Lt295/70R18
Will Bridge He has 20" rims, your 18" rims will have a larger tire sidewall.
Yeah depends on wheel diameter
whats the tallest tire i can put on a 1500 sierra with no lift, just leveled? i want a tire to fill in the fender gap. and am keeping my factory wheels
dave jackson I have a 2012 no lift , 20’ wheel and 33” tires I have a little run on the turns , but it fine .. can send pics if needed
my nittos are bad in the rain. when i takeoff from redlight it spins. does yours?
I’d say 33”
If you don't mind me asking how much you pay for your truck want to get one
It was like $21,000 used in 2011
How much and where did you get those seat covers. They look nice. I have leathr myself but if I can protect it it wouldn't be a bad idea. Thanks
Just found them in Ebay
Did you notice much noise with these tires driving city or highway?
Yes, lots of noise
Nice set up
Thanks for watching
Did you say you got the wheels & tires for $900??? Where??? I was looking at the same set up. Thanks!
On a local classified page
Did you have to get spacers cause of the 305mm tires?
No I didn't have to get spacers, they would have rubbed even more
Do you think the 305/55R20 BFG'S would fit without trimming on a stock set of 20's
Depends on the wheel offset.
It would depend on the wheels you use. Because i am using a 20x9 wheel with a ZERO offset there is no way this will work with out a level kit
It might, you will at least a level kit installed in the front
Truck looks great. Love the rims where did you get them from? What brand? I got a 2011 red silverado I was going to get black rims, but after your video I just changed my mind.
They are made by Ultra Motorsports and these wheels are the “Goliath” model. I picked them up off of the local classifieds, they were used.
So your fitting 35's with a leveling kit correct
No they are 33"
I have the same size tire and a 2.5 level in the front I'm guessing mine will clear since it is a tad higher??
Anyone know what a "tad" is anyway???
Yes
The rims are made by Ultra Motor sports and they the Goliath model.
They must be the MT judging from tread?
Yes they are
what brand are those seat covers???
Clazzio
im looking to run a 20x9 with a +18 offset with 295/55r20 (trail grapplers) do you think id have any rub with my 2.5 leveling kit?
not with +18 offset, and the tires arent that big either plus the 2.5' kit is enough. so no, i dont think they would rub
sam acosta Thanks for the reply, I went with a +20 offset. they ended up rubbing. i did the small norcal fender mod and it doesnt rub anymore.
Rmz250ryder upload a video of your truck bro, lets see it
Those should work just fine
Are bigger tires worth cutting out your inner fenders? in 2 years the rust will get more attention than the wheels.
Probably not…
Where did you get the badass seat covers and how much. My truck is kinda like yours.
Seat covers were like $380 on eBay, made by clazzio
I paid $20,000 for it in Oct. 2011. It is a 2007, it has roughly 75k miles on it. I thought it was a good deal when I bought it. And then I only paid $900 for the wheels/tires in the video
There was no rubbing at all with the BFG tires I have on now. The fuel economy is much better with the AT tires vs. the M/T tires.
