I think a broader outlook can be derived by looking at sign in ascendant in D1 and D9 chart. Look for water sign , fire sign earth sign or air sign in ascendant in d1 and d9 and this explains the transition in the person with time - say an emotional person / water sign can change into a earthy person or a fire sign d1 can change into a emotional person d9 and so on. I have seen in many charts and found to be correct on all occasions

My ascendant in D9 chart is aries. In D1 chart my ascendant is libra. Mars is in conjunction with Jupiter in both charts. In D1 chart Mars is in Taurus but in the navamsa Mars is in Pisces.
Sagittarius ascendant in d9 chart with moon+Venus conjunct in house 1. Is it beneficial or malefic madam? No other aspects are there.

My lagnesh is mercury bt in d9 it is in 12th house Scorpio. Means it is weak
Lagan nakshatra is ardra, rahu is in 3rd in d9 in Aquarius
and my d9 lagana is sagi
So mercury, Jupiter and rahu will play the role here

I am confused as to whom I should believe..

It is nice but there are some rules for vargottma Navmansh.
1st planets like Mars-Saturn or Rahu-ketu should not be there in 1st-7th axis of Navmansh.
2nd The Navmansh lord should be placed in good position/house in Navmansh.
Then only Vargottma Navmansh will give u full results.
I also have Vargottma Navmansh.

I am a Scorpio ascendant in D9 with mars, Saturn and mercury there and in D1 I'm an aries rising with mars, Saturn and Jupiter conjunction in there as well... Still figuring out what that means 😅 and i don't think that the dark complextion or attractiveness has much to do with Saturn like we think... I have a debilitated Saturn, in both D1 and D9 charts it's in the acsendant and in enemy signs and I'm think I'm cute, ngl. plus I'm light skinned. Not that it's any better than darker skin, never. Just saying Saturn probably doesn't have much to do with it like we think. Just a thought... Maybe with teeth, yes. But not necessarily that their ugly, just bigger or idk something distinct. For example, i had about 6 or 7 wisdom teeth taken out 😅
