It's funny he thought Gucci Guilty Elixir was a JPG because the perfumer who did GGE has also worked for JPG (Quintin Bisch) and it is blatantly obvious they took the Vintage Le Male dry down and said "what would this smell like if we took out the mint, amped up the orange blossom and added orris?" The vintage Le Male drydown was INCREDIBLE and powdery just like the opening of Gucci Guilty Elixir. I bought the GGE smelt It fell in love IMMEDIATELY BOUGHT A BACK UP BOTTLE! Then I realized hey the opening smells like Vintage Le Male Dry down... let me layer the current formulation of Le Male maybe I'll have the Holy Grail Le Male back .... I got non stop compliments from every female at work. One female worker tracked me down from a totally different department to ask me what I was wearing. Surprised know one has pointed this out or came up with this layering combo... Guess the cat is out of the bag now. Also I own Fleur du Male and Le Beau Male both awesome JPG frags
First off, I’m absolutely blown away at how educated and precise Dan’s nose is, truly impressive! Also, loving the Vids with Dan, keep these coming! And although he may be “grumpy” lol, he was kind enough to read my dm on Instagram and give me a follow! As a newcomer to the Instagram fragrance community that meant a lot to me… Mad respect for the both of you! 🙏🏻✌🏻❤️
It's nice to finally see the face behind the Soma Perfums ❤ I like your fragrances, I already have Tempest, Carmine and Serene and I'm waiting for my 10 mil Halcyon ❤❤
Enjoyed watching Dan. He did a great job. On a side note, what happened to the fragrance apprentice, his name escapes me at the moment. Haven't seen anything by him in a long time.
I've always thought that Gucci Guilty Elixir smells like play doh too, except I think it smells more like Pegasus/Craze than Reflection and I really don't like it at all.
Nice job. I have two questions on fragrances I’m ready to pull the trigger on. Is One Million Golden Oud that bad? Secondly, which is best.. Boss Absolu or Elixir?
@@eus9What do you mean, what do I mean? Dan, who has a great nose, trashed it. Go watch his review again. I haven’t been to a department store to sample it, and his remark has me questioning it. Ok?
"I'd say desinger because i dont know it, I only know niche." Then the next, goes on to say, "I think niche", to a designer. Just puttin that out there.
Boss Absolu is my least favorite fragrance from Hugo Boss (not including the cheap ones, i don't even count them in). I would take the original Bottled etd, the edp, Parfum, Elixir, Triumph Elixir, ANY of the scent line any day over that one
The problem is that people think Niche are better... Nope and honestly the Houses with Big History are Dior, Hermes,Channel etch etch and also they have perfumes that are Masterpieces and last in Time . Xerjoff , PDM and most of Nich are Newbie Houses with no History . Lets see what happens after 100 Years and if they worth this Hype ... ( I am not talking about Guerlain or Creed )
Chances are you're not gonna live 100 years to see what happens. Besides, houses like Amouage (prior to Mr. Solomon's), Nishane, tSoD, and artists like Alessandro Gaultieri, Francesca Bianchi, David Slivinschi, Spyros Drosopoulos, Lorenzo Pazzaglia, they all make enough interesting fragrances to render mainstream designer like Dior, Channel and Hermes uninteresting, washed, boring 😊
I think it is funny that he is wearing a Boss hoodie but didn’t seem to care about Boss fragrances. I was not impressed with Bottled Absolu when I got my nose on it - the Elixir, in my opinion, is more intriguing.
Tired of seeing this guys many times they like the fragrance but when they see is from paco rabbane they dislike in the hour, it look likes a lot of envy for real, majority of niches frangrances they say they like but in reality they smell like crap
I don’t know who the grumpy gentleman is but he has a great nose and great taste! Bring him on more often please
His nose is so good he spoils my games. Now I’m grumpy 😠 🤣
The guy is Dan Rotschild 🙌🏼
🤢🤢🤮🤮

Just don’t tell me you work at Macys lol .
Lmaooo Dan wanted to tear into ATH but held himself back - that knowing look that he did to the camera.
There's no evidence of what you've invented there

Great video! The gentleman really knows his stuff.
Loved the vid chaps. Dan did very well - great stuff!
Loved this! Even with all the toned down grumpiness ❤

Great video this! Please keep them coming.
Interaction worked well. I am a new subscriber and will keep coming back for more!
Thanks Chris and Dan.
Dan is awesome! Great video guys
Gucci Elixir is something i didnt expect to be so good , thats for sure.
ATH is going to have a mental breakdown after he called one of his fragrances designer 🤣🤣
1 million oud gets me the craziest compliments, and I definitely didn’t like the original either. Great video!
I love that mugler came back with their male line and everyone is showing them off ❤
This grumpy dude is a beast lol
Great video Chris and Dan. He is a grump, we see it every day 😂 but he's alright really.
He said I dont know about Hugo Boss fragrances but wears Boss shirt😂
Came to the comments for this exact comment 😂
Boss has great clothes but scents are awfully bad, with exception of the never ones.
@@MorowingerTotally agree 🤝

George
@jasongarbett2527 Thanks.
George did a peace out video a little while back. He's moved on to other things.
Thanks gents. Arezzo is a great one.
I’ve been wearing Boss Bottled Elixir ever since fall started and can’t put it down!
I've always thought that Gucci Guilty Elixir smells like play doh too, except I think it smells more like Pegasus/Craze than Reflection and I really don't like it at all.
Dan is my favourite. 😊
He doesn’t know Boss, but is wearing a Boss shirt?
You’ll be aware one is an item of clothing and one is a perfume.
Dan & Chris what a great combo 😅
This guy gives me “grumpy fragrance brand owner” vibes, but I can’t quite put my finger on why.
Surprised he didn’t get original santal. It would’ve had to be that, individual, or Joop Homme. Think those are the only 3 from that specific family?
Boss Absolu is extremely good, not a blind buy safe tho, the balsamic nature isn’t to everyone’s taste.
Dan Naughton's style is a weird mix between Dapper Gent and Benidorm...
Rumour has it Dan uses HJ to spray his boxer shorts
I can confirm it’s true.
Lol grumpy man is pretty good!
Lol the 1 million was really bothering himhe couldn't resist any longer 😂😂
It really was.
@@Fragrance_weirdoonly when you found it that it’s one million! I can’t stand perfume snobs!

Dan!! Love that gent. Enjoyed when he was on Scentgeeks with you guys and love the Les Oderants podcast, fantastic video!

What do you mean that bad? The presenter loves it, and personally, I think this is a great fragrance. It's a beautiful mix of sweetness and oud

OMG hes backk!!! u made the best videos in the game! will we ever see the mythical milliseme impireal review?

95% of designer frags are 😴 niche all the way!
What happened to smoulder 2.0?
Still in the pipeline! Hopefully next year 🤞🏻

I don't have to live 100 years. Others did before me... This is Legacy. This is what we call House Respect and History. ;) 😁

Original Santal is a dupe of Montblanc Individual and there are no big differences.

Good point
I adore Tom Ford fragrances but don’t own a single garment from the brand.
