3:29 she tells you to be careful and then the dogs walk out in front of you, I would of told her to get them on a lead. Nothing against dog walkers I've got one myself it just winds me up when there not under control. Another great video, I'm loving these off road ones. Keep them coming

The Crumble ....yeah surprising isn't it, bar that lady (who to be fair wasn't that obnoxious), everyone I've spoken too has been very friendly too - but certainly had my fair share of being looked down at like I'm some sort of low-life as I make my way noisily past. I'm glad to say not those two young girls though who clearly fancied me.....
This is the Icknield Trail, it runs behind my house. You passed the High School at the green gates. A lot of dog walkers round here are cautious of off-road riders, I think they often don't like it because Risborough is known for its youngsters that don't drive down it safely, (however that old lady was lying when she said a dog had been killed). Great video. Its a lovely place to go, lovely scenery and its not to bumpy! :)

Used to ride all my local green lanes (and even a member of GLASS) but got so fed up over the years with people wanting arguments over the legality of riding down the lanes standing in front of the bikes and even fishing line being put across lanes I sold up my bikes. Having gone back years later many lanes now overgrown and unusable. agree with your comments in the vid. great video.
I used to live in High Wycombe as a kid in the 80s, I was a racing cyclist at the time and would train all around those areas. Brings back great memories for me 😊
It's funny, am into bikes and the first video I watched was a ride through West Wycombe and into Lacy Green on the new Tenere. I lived in Naphill for a number of years. Second video I watched was a Goldwing review, which started in Burford, where I went to Boarding School. 'Twas a trip down memory lane! Have lived in Eastern Canada, since the late Eighties , whilst the English countryside is beautiful; I don't know if it's worth having a dirt or dual sport bike in the Southern Counties. We're very lucky here , whilst there's no public right of way across private land there are thousands of designated recreation trails for trail bikes or pedal bikes. We even have a trans Canada trail that crosses the whole country by either dirt or gravel roads. I encourage anyone to visit. Beautiful country and welcoming people. Thanks again.

I did record a video response to your previous Greenlaning video but I wasn't happy with the vocal audio as I wasn't using an external mic. Amazing yellow monoculture example at 6:05. Looks spectacular now too many of us are conditioned to appreciating colour and contrast and some seem not to care where their milk or vegetable oils come from, nor how the methods used to create carpets of yellow in May deny so many native species the habitats they depend on. Your Vlogs show very responsible use of legal byways; this one includes an elderly lady reminding your audience that the legality of the route maintains the duty of care motor enthusiasts have to each other and everyone else encountered while motoring.
Love watching your adventures keep it up! It's very interesting seeing the different locations in your country. I get to enjoy riding in your country from 5,500 km away. :)
I went down that very lane last year (in the other direction) on my XR125 and had a minor crash. Great fun though! Just stumbled across your channel and find it very useful as I live in the same area. Wycombe area unfortunately. The more green lanes I can ride on round here the better! Cheers!

Piece of cake for the CRF, nice trail. That old lady reminded me how nice and quite the stock exhaust was, although I love my FMF sometimes I miss the stealthy stock one. I think if had the stock one probably she would even notice you but I think she heard you about half way lol

I green lane around the South Wales valley and use a Honda cg125, it’s a very quiet bike and nobody is bothered by it. It’s not an ideal bike and the lanes can get impossible at times but the challenges are great fun.
Flyer, there is a trail system where I live on the west coast, across the pond, that runs north-south through Washington, Oregon and Utah & Colorado. Most of the riders are on BMW's like your GS and every other adventure bike built. It's called the Back Country Discovery Route. Amazing. Just in case you decide to tour the states some day. i feel sorry for people like you that have a bike but no were good to offroad. literally 5 mintues from my house i can be on trails that go way up oin the moutains over 75 miles and youll never run into anyone else. views that are amazing. I can not wait for summer when all the snow is gone and i can ride again. god damn do i love america
You're lucky to have those trails to ride on, where I live its all asphalt and to get to a trail like that you'd have to ride for about 2 hours through assholes in traffic and by the time you get there you might be out of gas and patience. cool video
If you're ever in Surrey I urge you to try Wolvens lane and coldharbour. The lanes are a good length and have varying difficulty. I managed it on my 160+kg varadero 125 on road tyres so you should be able to do it very easily on your CRF
Maybe that old lady should talk to her friends about keeping their dogs under control before implying (albeit loosely) that you might kill one. I've never had a problem with a dog a bike or a car, only ever with the person in charge of them..
i could not watch passed the ladie warning you about the dog getting killed. i was to scared. you got more nerve then i have on my mobility scooter. lol
I find it funny that you was warned to be careful of the dogs while you were legally riding when they were breaching multiple laws. The Road Traffic Act 1988 - It is an offence to have a dog on a designated road without it being held on a lead. Dogs Act 1871 - It is a civil offence if a dog is dangerous (to people or animals) and not kept under proper control (generally regarded as not on a lead nor muzzled).
No idea, I imagine they have been established as "highways" for many hundreds of years and that's why we still have the right of way on them today even though they aren't major or paved....
TheMissendenFlyer there are epic views and huge scenery along the unrestricted Ridgeway between Streatly, Aston Tirrold and East Ilsley. Massive wide open spaces.
I used to love greenlining on my trail bikes. If I saw horses I switched the bike off, coasted to a halt and waited for them to pass and get some distance away. Mostly I got a "Thankyou", and that was it. The one person, though, I can only assume just didn't like bikes. Believe me, the nutters on motocross bikes pissing up the lanes at 60mph annoyed me intensely.
I'm fortunate enough to have 400+ acres to fish, shoot and ride on, so a bit off a tip, always be confident of what your a riding on (bike and surface) if there is shale or gravel, go a bit faster as it allows for less chance of your wheel skidding or slipping and just always enjoy yourself :D also about the dog thing, they have fields but they gotta take into consideration, farm land, trespassing, live stock and Crops but i hate having dog walkers or walkers in general down green lanes.

DervMan ...actually I was only pondering the same thing earlier, bar the first 100 or so yards it would be relatively easy....almost worth a try (+ I could kill a few dogs and barely notice)....
I once did something similar on a K1300GT on an ever narrowing "road" in Belgium. Seriously. Couldn't turn around and it got worse and worse. Plus it was wet and slippery. I really do NOT recommend it. As to dogs, I would bet my life that the dog was not on the lead, an increasing problem for cyclists where they have these increasingly popular shared cycle/pedestrian paths that dog walkers use. Even if the dog is well trained, how is the passing cyclist supposed to know? Keep your bloody dog on a lead.....

I got lost last year and had to spend the night out in the woods. Very easy to get lost when your doing 40+ mph on awesome trails

there are transeurope enduro/dirt bike trails , findable trough google and u can , if u have a gps , download the map ,happy riding mate , cheers

I find it funny that you was warned to be careful of the dogs while you were legally riding when they were breaching multiple laws.
The Road Traffic Act 1988 - It is an offence to have a dog on a designated road without it being held on a lead.
Dogs Act 1871 - It is a civil offence if a dog is dangerous (to people or animals) and not kept under proper control (generally regarded as not on a lead nor muzzled).

No idea, I imagine they have been established as "highways" for many hundreds of years and that's why we still have the right of way on them today even though they aren't major or paved....

I used to love greenlining on my trail bikes. If I saw horses I switched the bike off, coasted to a halt and waited for them to pass and get some distance away. Mostly I got a "Thankyou", and that was it. The one person, though, I can only assume just didn't like bikes.
Believe me, the nutters on motocross bikes pissing up the lanes at 60mph annoyed me intensely.
When you crossed the road there's a sign clearly stating NO VEHICLES

I'm fortunate enough to have 400+ acres to fish, shoot and ride on, so a bit off a tip, always be confident of what your a riding on (bike and surface) if there is shale or gravel, go a bit faster as it allows for less chance of your wheel skidding or slipping and just always enjoy yourself :D also about the dog thing, they have fields but they gotta take into consideration, farm land, trespassing, live stock and Crops but i hate having dog walkers or walkers in general down green lanes.

I once did something similar on a K1300GT on an ever narrowing "road" in Belgium. Seriously. Couldn't turn around and it got worse and worse. Plus it was wet and slippery. I really do NOT recommend it.
As to dogs, I would bet my life that the dog was not on the lead, an increasing problem for cyclists where they have these increasingly popular shared cycle/pedestrian paths that dog walkers use. Even if the dog is well trained, how is the passing cyclist supposed to know?
Keep your bloody dog on a lead.....
