Yep, I agree as well. Tires more than likely did not change but the air and track temps were too low to put rubber down. We’ve seen this at Martinsville and Dover. In fact, go watch practice from Dover last year where it was like 45 and foggy. Erik Jones spun out and the tire didn’t leave skid marks, just turned to dust. Than, the race was ran in the sun in about 60-65 degree weather and rubber was put down over the course of the race.

They absolutely did not change the tire. There are a lot of variables that go into tire wear and THEN tire rubber sticking to the track. Air temp, track temp, track surface, previous rubber prior to race, recent rain, and then the setups for projected temps ALL play a part in how a race tire works. Please dont spread the narrative that the tire was different when it was factually not. Love ya 🤘🏼
