Favorite Skater He's one of the few skaters who has had an education within collage. He's so honest and pure Damn, the skateboardingworld needs people like him.
The Denburn banks are viciously steep. i used to skate there every saturday. Aberdeen's such an old city so there's not much new architecture around that you can skate so you have to get pretty tough to the conditions, and creative with what there is. There is now a skate park. finally !! The council's a little bit slow up here.
@Nietsro Agreed. Ocean Howell's doing pretty well too, got a PhD by now I think, there's a great article by him somewhere out there about where skateboarding's gone, you can google for it, it's in an online magazine called topic.
@barneycoles i agree, alot of shitty spots and parks here in new zealand too BUT we are blessed with police that don't arrest skateboarders for skating down the side walk unlike in the states
Compared to Norway... We may be rich cunts but there's def a lack of indoor skate parks in this country. I'd recommend finding spots under bridges and stuff, where the rain can't get to. We do that here. Or you could break into a gymnastics hall when people have left. The cleaner don't mind, such a nice guy. He lets us in anytime we want :D
Yeah, see the bit when they're in Glasgow, he rolls down a hill near my house called Gardener street. Doing that is as dangerous as any handrail in any video.
americans have it so easy compared to skaters in england and scotland shitty spots over here and it always fucking rains...and when i say americans i mean skaters from L.A i understand that in other parts of america it can be just as shitty so dont hate
John is very sympathic, he tells his story very kind and interesting. Great skateboarder!
