So good to see the tourists are back there and at Victoria Square of course. I left Malta at the age of nine in 1970 and migrated to Australia with my parents. Cordina a definite favourite of my family from memory. Your English breakfast looked delicious so I must go to Eddies and Steve you were generous with your tip. Really nice. I love this playlist because we get to see different restaurants in Malta. My husband is English too and recently when he comes home from work, we watch one of your videos together. Thank you Steve 😀👏😘

I usually get a full english breakfast when in Heathrow on a stopover. Your breakfast at Eddies looks delicious. I bet it's very expensive there compared to if you cooked it yourself. Maybe in a future video, you can cook this and vlog it here. like 298

great looking breakfast Steve, By the time you sliced into your first sausage I was overcome by a wave of appetite and luckily an advert popped up which was going to last for about 18 minutes; so I managed to cook myself breakfast with sausages, bacon, and eggs in time to continue with your video. I gave mine 6 out of 10 because I had no potato, no tomatoes, and no mushrooms. instead of a tip, I had to wash the dishes and the cutlery. Next time, I shall have my breakfast prepared before watching your breakfast videos; fried bacon and sausages are simply irresistible !!!!

My mouth is watering!. The place we used to love in Sliema was The Army and Navy Restaurant, unfortunately long gone. In Bugibba we used to go to Grannies.

Hi Steve, that looked nice I was thinking a little Black Pupping would make it great 😋 nice idea to go around and do breakfast in different locations it will be interesting to see the differences. I used to love going to the Marsaxlokk Market followed by the one in Birgu the farmers market at Ta'Qali used to be worth a visit and the old Fish Market in Valletta/Marsa was fantastic. Cheers 👍👍👍

Now then. I can't eat a full English without black pudding and fried bread. So if you do try anywhere in bugibba pal, it's gotta be bognor. On the right hand side walking up to the bocce club. Lovely views and beautiful staff. I know you'll like it. Cheers. Boss video.
Your food related vlogs are my favourites :) . Debbie's Cafe in Melliha have a really good english breakfast and last i went they also had black pudding .
I took my family to the other cafe in that square. The one that is next to Guess. We were there for around 2 hours, and I noticed one waiter having the occasional discussion with tourists over the bill. Every time another course was brought to our table or more drinks ordered, a separate till receipt was provided. We ended up with about 16 receipts. When we came to paying the bill, the total was written down on a notepad and brought to our table by the same waiter. When I added up the receipts, the written total was 12 euros more. The waiter was relying on me not adding up the many till receipts presumably. I guess this was why he was having the occasional row with other customers when they come to pay. I must say that I have never been conned on Malta, but this was a blatant attempt. I complained to the restaurant manager but he was not arsed. Just shrugged and said his guy couldn't add up

Last time we were in Malta we stayed in Qawra and had most of our breakfasts in a bar restaurant called Images it was excellent great food and nice people Paul and Gina

Had breakfast in Republic square in Valletta many times. Always go to Cafe Cordina and have a continental or local breakfast. Enjoy 🇲🇹
Evening Steve, that looked a nice breakfast - bit expensive though as I'm sure you'll discover on your jaunts. I'll agree with many folks that there are loads of places near Bugibba Square and Tourist Street that will do you a good breakfast. You'll need to do a fair bit of walking to work them off.

Try bayview restaurant at top of hill from buggiba square towards st.pauls bay it has a great sea view and great staff as well as lovely breakfast

Great video Steve, so many to choose from, over in Bugibba you are really spoiled for choice, there is a few we like but George's is one of our favourites good quality and cheap, even when it's busy they seem to be quick service . We always like to recommend. Good idea though Steve some people rely on recommendations, look forward to more to come 👍

Good morning Steve, again that place there, is so familiar to me, they use to have live music in that corner behind you, and I'll always you to stop there to watch & listen on my way to "Puturjal" the bus ; about the bacon, was it smoked or unsmoked ? also we normally say crispy bacon not crunchy ? because crunchy is a chocolate bar, thanks Steve, see you soon.
Theres a cafe in buggiba where my wife and i use to have breakfast called Roger and vals not sure if it is still there it was on the corner as you came down from Where the old San Pawls Hotel use to be.

we stayed in Mellieha many times and used to get our full English breakfast at a place called that Rovers Return at the top of the town not sure if it’s still there.
It's no longer a restaurant but we used to eat there a lot and also stay in one of their flats. Monica and John, a nice couple.
Thanks Terry .We used to say in self catering accommodation in Melllieha Heights , have our breakfast at the Rovers then head for the beach for the day.

Breakfast looks excellent to be fair but quite a long wait. I wonder if some of those restaurants and cafes that are in the big tourist areas are struggling to work out what their staffing should be? One minute there's no tourists, the next it's getting busier. Cool video.

The average good quality breakfast here in London is about £7.50,prices went up about 30 to 40%,up North a bit cheaper i guess.

Yes, imagine almost no crumbs from people for much of the pandemic, it's funny how many times I have thought about Pastizzi during the pandemic, and I think about whenever I eat Pastizzi around the fountain area in Floriana, I like to drop some crumbs for the pigeons, Pastizzi are messy anyways why bother trying to not drop any. I think that they know that Pastizzi will make more crumbs than anything else, and large groups of them come sometimes. I was thinking how they must miss the tourists, especially ones like me, lol
Sugar is also very good at reducing acidity, the trick is leaving the acidity as pure as possible when you add the sugar, for example mixing sugar directly with lemon juice before adding the water reduces the acidity way more than mixing the water with the lemon juice and then the sugar with that. Most of the items look great.

@@EnglishmaninMalta I am sure that you know this since you have lived in Malta for so long, yet the outdoor seating area near Eddies Cafee used to have way more pidgins than it does now. I never minded them.
I look forward to that video. Things are going good. We have been eating figs from our fig trees, two of which are Maltese varieties, yet most likely varieties you have never tried before.

Was 40 Yers ago first went into Bubas it was working man's cafe and was always busy and served Maltese food as well as English. Went in me my wife and two daughters who were very young 3and five.It was busy and he moved people around to give me a table for the 4 of us.The food was good and we were treated like the royal family.Iwas born in London,my dad was from Rabat and my mum from London.You would have enjoyed it.

The breakfast looked a little basic, at least it was not full of grease, looks like it was grilled. good idea trying different English breakfasts on the island, you should try Simenta restaurant in St. Paul's bay, i went last week, i noticed they do English breakfast on menu but i did not have it. i had a steak sandwich, it was ok nothing to write home about, my friends had burger and chips, but waiting was abt half an hour, but our other friend he got his burger in the first 5 minutes waiting, by the time he finished we were still waiting for our order... a little strange i guess thats the way here.. the location is good tho right by the sea, so u get the sea breeze and they have fans in the restaurant even tho its all alfresco. only thing annoyed me was ppl with dogs on the table, that was unhygienic.

It is said "Breakfast is the best meal of the day" and I agree as I love my brekky 🥣 🥚🥚 🥑 🥪 🍵 😋. That was good value, easily breakfast for 'two' (2 of each ) for €9.50 😲.... However, only good sayfor a 'monthly' treat 🤔. . Steve, could you please send me some of that bacon 🥓 😋 , as I haven't eaten nice bacon since leaving Malta/UK.
