I just keep looking at the 32 or the 18 for a day pack that can take out a boned deer. Its gonna be one of those two.

Yes, either one will work for that. All of the pack systems have the same K3 Frame and the integrated load-shelf, so no matter which bag you go with, you'll have the ability to haul out that deer.

Dre Sted I have a K2 1800 and I just received my K3 4800. They are awesome. Whatever route you go you won’t be disappointed. A top quality product, with lots of thought, made in the USA.

So I plan to pick up one of your 4800’s fairly soon but until then I have a question for you. I’m thinking I want to try to incorporate an inside the waste band holster to this pack which would ride between the hipbelt and your hipbelt pouch. My question for you is how wide or long I guess is that 2-3” tall webbing you use on the hip belt. It looks like the fabric on the back of the pouch in which the webbing from the hipbelt passes thru is maybe 4” wide..... how much wider is the hipbelt webbing then this? The two leather straps on the inside the waste band holster I already have is roughly 8”. Not sure if you follow but if not I guess I’ll have to wait until I order a pack to find out! Either way your product appears to be the best and I can’t wait to have my very own!

Thanks for the interest. We have found that it is best to go with an outside the waistband style holster, or a specific pack holster (ivoryholsters.com/exo). Running an inside the waistband holster between the pack's hipbelt and the accessory webbing will cause pressure points and discomfort, especially as you add weight in the pack. Great pack, terrible belt pocket attachment. Impossible to get a snug fit looping the loose end to the velcro.

Ryan, we specifically want that webbing to be somewhat loose. If the webbing is tight it will create a pinch point on the hipbelt and cause discomfort when wearing the pack. Once you have the belt cinched on to your body the 2" webbing should be loose enough to slide a finger between it and the foam. The pouch will be plenty stable and easy to open.
