    Hi Korbs, I'm very interested to learn medium level volume profile skills and in particular what volume profile 'shapes' indicate particular trend outcomes. Is that something you can elaborate on?

    whch volume profile are you using sir KORBS? is that the FIXED VOLUME PROFILE?

    • @korbstrading
      @korbstrading  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is on Sierra Charts and is the developing volume profile for the session. You can use the Session Volume Profile on Trading View or the Fixed Range Volume Profile to draw your own profile from a point of your choosing.

    Hi Korbs, I've seeing your videos lately, I'm becoming a big fan of you. I just have one question.
    I'm using and studying your Volumen profile in TradingView., thing is that POC varies between differente time frames. For example in all Time frames is around X spot, but in 30M and 4h time frame is way higher, like on the other side of the 70%.
    first question is, if this tool is messuring the traded volumen in each price, during that day, why does it changes between time frames? it's the same day...the same volumen. Or Am I missing something???
    Thank you! please keep your videos coming!!

    What software do you use? Quant tower is driving my crazy, my goal is to see daily volume profile overlaying a 15 minute chart and I'm struggling to manipulate the software to show me this clearly

    I haven't been using volume profile for long but I feel like I'm slowly getting to know her better and look forward to taking any courses you have in the future. Too busy looking after mum at the moment to really get stuck into something new. Would love to hear more about how you use the opening range (similar to initial balance?). Hope you and yours are all safe and well brother! 🙂

    Thank you for sharing this! Were you waiting for the VAL because you knew both sides of the market were active due to both the opening swing high and low having been taken out? Thanks again Korbs!

    • @korbstrading
      @korbstrading  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One side has shown strength but this isn’t a “trend day” so we want to join that side but getting a great entry is tough.
      If it was a trend day and you try to wait that long, you would never get in. Since it wasn’t a trend day if you were to join the side of strength too early, you would get crushed while having the “right idea”
      I’ve developed this trade and built rules around it using the profile. 👍🏼

    • @ZimmerTrading
      @ZimmerTrading 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Korbs thank you! That makes a lot of sense. Because the thesis is that you’re joining the side of strength at a good price what would you have had to see to nullify this trade and close it for a loss?

    Does the 'VOLUME FORMULA' work w/TD Ameritrade? How does one utilize this VOLUME FORMULA AND ITS TOOLS...(with or into)...the TD Ameritrade trading platform? Thank you.

    • @korbstradingtestimonials
      @korbstradingtestimonials 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey James, the teachings can be applied to any platform that supports the Volume Profile Indicator. The VP Formula has a module that walks through setting up the charts in Trading View, (Sierra Charts for the advanced program), however, it should be fairly straight forward to take the gist of this and apply it to setting up in other platforms. You can find more information about the Volume Profile Formula course on the description box. Cheers! :-)

    i am a little bit confuser about the pertinence of Volume profile, or volume indicator generally because i think ( to be confirmed and that's the question) logically this type of information will depend on broker , i mean we are just seeing what retail traders in this only broker are buying or selling... what do you think?

    Hi, I'm Rodrigo, I speak from Brazil. I'm looking for knowledge about the volume profile, pir here we have little operational reference. I've seen some of your videos and I liked your approach, your operational logic. I would like to know what is the minimum time to identify the winning side, if the price position in relation to vwap is enough for us to define and what is the most suitable time frame for day trading in index futures?

    • @korbstradingtestimonials
      @korbstradingtestimonials 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Rodrigo, the program is focused on intraday trading: holding positions for minutes or hours. Swing trading (holding positions overnight) is an alternative that can work but it’s not specifically covered in the program. On average, 2 hours per day is the minimum you need to operate with the Profile Method but you can apply the same method by trading on only 2-3 days instead of 5 days per week
      We recommend watching the below Korbs' videos about the topic. You can copy and paste the following titles into the search box.

      "Best Time Frames for Trading with the Volume Profile"
      "The Best Time to Trade Futures? | Difference Between Day and Overnight Session"
      You can go to the links in the description box to know more about the program. Cheers!

      @@rodrigorizato5381 So sorry, the video does not have subtitles. But we have a Volume Profile Handbook available for download. You can get it as an add-on. It contains the full transcription of the course and also all the slides.

      Good afternoon,
      right. Are the training videos on the you tube platform? if so, I gonsigo put subtitles through another application. if it's on another platform, then I can't follow the course in English, a pity.

    • @korbstradingtestimonials
      @korbstradingtestimonials 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rodrigorizato5381 We have a different learning platform. There is a workaround if you want to watch the course with English subtitles. The only requirement is you need to use Google Chrome browser and here's how it works:
      1. Open Google Chrome and click on the three dots at the top right, then go to Settings.
      2. Click on Advanced, then select Accessibility
      3. Turn on Live Caption
      4. Open the course and play the video. A popup with subtitles will appear.
      Hope this helps! :-)

    In one of your earlier videos you mentioned that since the VP is developing, people should not put too much weight on the developing VAH, POCs.. And you based your whole trade on it. Why? When do you consider the developing profile as "good enough" to use the developing levels for entry?

    • @korbstrading
      @korbstrading  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Really nice question. As a general rule (this is not set in stone) after the first 30 min - 1 hour I will start putting more weight on it.

  • @rickk1427
    @rickk1427 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Really interesting video Korbs. I love volume profile too. But I've got a question that I can't seem to get answered anywhere. Maybe you can. My question is about the current day POC and VAH/VAL (which I fully understand are dynamic thru the day). How can we effectively use these levels when they differ depending on what time frame your chart is? Example: at this very moment on my ES 15m chart the POC is 2801.53....but on the ES 5m chart the POC is 2806.04 ..... and on the ES 1m chart the POC is 2807.90 . The same goes for the VAH/VAL levels. Any thoughts or recommendations on this? BTW, thanks for your reply to my earlier question about the volume profiles ETH vs RTH. Looking forward to new videos!

    • @ecrirey
      @ecrirey 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      that is for sure a problem with the platform you are using, those values should not change depending on the timeframe. Perhaps you have the volume to be considered only for the visible area, so when you change the timeframe the area you see is less/more and for that reason you see a different profile. Be aware you should use the daily volume profile, so you avoid those cases

    • @thegadgetemporiumaustralia8509
      @thegadgetemporiumaustralia8509 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Generally only look at Regular trading hours since this is when most of the volume is traded and most institutions are active. RTH is based on New York time. On trading view you can switch between RTH and ETH (electronic trading hours which is essentially 24/7).
      Base your decisions off of RTH and only reference the overnight session for highs lows etc

    I use to watch your videos, but it appears it is just another Trader making trading look simple. X amount of dollars in x minutes. Real traders know the time it takes to be consistent between strategy development, chart time and not to mention Back testing. Just be honest. Trading is a journey not a weekend hobby nor is it a way to turn $500 into a million.
