Festival del San Pedrito! A Short Trip to Adjuntas, Puerto Rico

In this video we visit Adjuntas where we see our friend Mark's farm, go to the downtown plaza and check into our rental house. Then we spend the next day at the Festival del San Pedrito. The San Pedrito Bird is known as a Tody in English and is a sweet small bird that is found all over Puerto Rico. At this festival it is celebrated and many wish for it to be the official bird of Puerto Rico!

We say that the unofficial bird of Puerto Rico is the "ave riguao". It is everywhere.😂 All jokes aside, I though we already had an official bird, el "Pitirre" (Tyrannus dominicensis/Gray Kingbird). Other people think it is the Puerto Rican Parrot, the Puerto Rican Woodpecker, or the Puerto Rican Spindalis. They are all good candidates, just like the San Pedrito.
P.S. It was nice running into you guys yesterday at The Home Depot. I know it was a quick encounter (I'm always in a hurry), but we were able to finally shake hands.😊
