Sai Deepak has done it, which gives him the courage of his convictions. Let others also go through the analytical process and be fully convinced of their beliefs, rather than blindly taking it as a hand-me-down, so that they can justify their views in any arguments.

      That's the worry.
I disagree that JSD is exposing government.
JSD is foremost exposing us, who belive without authentication.
By making this about government we stand a danger of diluting this self introspection which the book hopes to inspire.
At some places JSD has to bring up these things to make certain points , but he also inadvertantly brings in government and beureaucracy.

Ayurveda used to be a science passed on from guru to CAPABLE shishya. Unfortunately, in our macaulay education system, it's today taught to students based on marks scored in some exam with no regard to their suitability for the profession in terms of personal qualities, aptitude and attitudes. And then there are people who demand admission to these courses as their Right, regardless of aptitude. In the process, our colleges are churning out half-baked vaidyas, some of whom themselves have no faith in their own system! And some who only want to make money rather than improve community health. Many who studied ayurveda only because they didn't qualify for admission in MBBS course. Naturally, there's an inferiority complex, diffidence and failures that allopaths can score points on.

I am reading your book and it’s gripping.
However I have reservations about your comments about allopathic doctors with respect to Ayurvedic doctors.
In today’s context we must separate Ayurved and Ayurvedic doctors while discussing this issue.
Ayurved is recognised as ancient Indian scientific knowledge bank - but today’s Ayurvedic doctors is a mixed bag concoction of Ayurvedic degree and allopathy medicines - this is true about majority of doctors practising in India .
There are few exceptions who practise Ayurveda only.
If you can please do a survey of students who take admission to BAMS course and analyse how many of them joined BAMS because they could not get admission to MBBS.
Take a survey of “Ayurvedic surgeons and Gynecologists “ - and analyse how many practice allopathy

@@chitradwarkesh105 that’s good to know, and that’s exactly what is my point . Each pathy has its own place when it’s studied and practiced scientifically - the word scientific does not have to mean “Western science “ always. wrt Ayurvedic medicine - there is a much deeper base and logic to diagnosis and treatment methodologies.
I am from Mumbai - here the Ayurvedic doctors are like feeders to allopathy - thats biggest insult to Ayurved. The problem starts when Ayurvedic doctors make a back door entry into Allopathic practice - but on the face they will condemn allopathy and say how Ayurved is superior to allopathy .
It’s high time we stop this comparison - Ayurved has its own coveted place and so does Allopathy

J Sai Deepak has effectively red-pilled so many of us, especially many young minds. I hope some of them go into politics and bureaucracy. We need to decolonize our minds which is most effective from top-down order. I thank Sai for his book and waiting for the sequels. 🙏🏾

We are proud to have such eloquent speakers like you among us . You should be our ambassador in the UN. You would destroy all the former wrong narratives that are being floated about Hinduism in the world.

We (1949 born) are the products of having lived our lives in the syllabus of our formal education and are positioned in our sunset years.Formal knowledge as explained by you has been clouded with clouded coloniality .It is only now ,because of guys like you opening the doors to our own legacy ,we are spending a good amount of time to appraise ourselves with our legacy.Issue of formalising it for next generation is a humongous task.I would hazard a guess that it will take two to three generation to internalise this .Even NEP may not help much. Which orgs. are engaged in it? It would be worthwhile to invest our left out time to such orgs.

It is our responsibility to uplift the spirit of our forefathers.
One thing about Ayurveda, where you make visit to clinic or hospital run by Ayurveda docs, just find out how many of them practice Ayurveda and do research.
Atlesst since 5 years some research is going on in Ayurveda.

Excellent Commentary. We in the Western Medicine are using Ayurvedic treatment quite regularly. Especially the Functional Medicine and Integrative Medicine practitioners. We are also teaching the residents about it. Proud of our ancient traditions. Indian Physicians have a chip on their shoulder. I think it shows their poor self esteem. One of these days they have to get on board with the wealth of knowledge of Ayurveda.
