Really nice video. I remember watching the series as it was first airing. It was lots of fun seeing the end of season one and the elements you covered becoming more prominent as the show went. Sleeper plot as it were in between the episodic hijinks. The feeling of the ending was mightily abrupt even knowing they were down a season. I do remember thinking that Glossaryck needed to be pinned down and made to explain. His motivations and choices rather than being dismissed by the whole series as a character without agency. I don't think he was up to grand personal schemes but characters in the show certainly could have challenged his the reasoning of his actions. Tbh though I think the writers just wanted an easy way to facilitate a story.

Always a promoter for new approaches to story telling, thanks for highlighting a show that some of us may have written off at a glance.

I think the reason why Hekapoo suddenly helps Star at the end is more chalked up to her being an ensemble dark horse, and honestly, she's my personal favourite character in the show (character designer Becky Dreistadt designed her PERFECTLY), so obvoiusly the writeres wanted her to get a very mini-redemption arc of sorts, I mean, we don't even see her perish on-screen (neither does Glossaryck), implying that she might still be out there. Heck, I liked her so much, I made a fanfic (and headcanon) about the fact that she's NOT a magical being, but a unqiue species of monster herself named a Demeast (demon and beast combined). It turns out she was mind-controlled by Mina for possibly hundreds of years, meaning that her killing monsters (which was explained in the side material book The Magic Book Of Spells) was out of her own control. She escapes to live with Kelly (I also did the fic to give her something more to do) in Woolandia (who, in my head-canon, is actually a suburb of Mewni, and that there's plenty of Woolandias in other planets), which, due to the Cleaving, is now near Vancouver (funnily, the city was name dropped in one of the final episodes, which I didn't even know about, so it ended up being ACCIDENTIAL foreshadowing, to my insane surprise). This is after a 6-year-timeskip, BTW.

Most people use it to dennounce star versus force of evil for its bad writing
But you just showed that it's not bad writing
Or whether it didn't hand of time and it warn't actually the best writers
But more importantly, you actually show that you shouldn't judge all things bad
Also he told me a lesson in what ethnotionalism is
Plus i'm working on a fan fiction
You just give me idea for a future on the yurt people
They become a gated community in the future

This is great! Also I always figured that Glossaryck was based on the dad from Story From North America given how they both have long white beards, huge noses and eat chocolate pudding.

In a Q&A someone asked if the laser puppies were still alive after the magic was destroyed, Daron said they are alive
That would mean all the spells are still alive

@@SardonicSays it would also explain why Mina is still a crazyhead; the magic is making her mind unstable, and if magic where truly destroyed, she'd be taken by a bout of amnesia and say something along the lines of "Ugh... Wha... What.. happened? W-where am I!?" If magic wasn't destroyed, but rather temporarily shut off like a light switch, there'd still be hints of it lingering, including the psychological side effects of overusing magic. Just like we saw with Mina in the series finale after the magic's "destruction". It's been shown before that magic can be drug-like, as seen in the Magic Realm.
