Hell yeah that's a sweet combo bloke 👌 I don't buy reels here much either these days for the same reason of unnecessary mark up or mostly the fact jdm spec reels we can't get here are just way better. Same for lures, weights, sizes and colours we get this small often Americanised selection available here when the perfect stuff for our market is only in Japan 😂 make it make sense haha.
Cheers mate! Yer it’s hard to justify isn’t it. Love to support the small tackle shops here but some of the prices are crazy different between here and Japan 😅

in our side ..for ultralight (ul) we used rod and line max 6lb....reel under 1000 ...
Nice man! What sort of species are you fishing for? This stuff is definitely light for me compared to the Barra gear we’re normally using haha (50lb braid and 80lb leader)

Hey mate, nice combo for sure! Where did you order this reel from? Looking for something to go with my flats freak and this would be perfect but as soon as you said high speed 2000S I knew I hadn't seen it on Daiwa Aus website 🤔
Cheers mate! Ordered through Digitaka, I’ve bought a bit through them now and they’ve been super easy to deal with. Baffles me why they don’t do the higher speed models here, there’s definitely a market for them!

It was $560ish a couple of weeks ago, I don’t think the dollar has changed much recently so they should still be pretty similar in price. As long as they have them in stock reels usually arrive within a week. Just be mindful to keep your order under $1000 aud to avoid getting hit with import tax 👍🏼

I wonder if there will be issues for servicing them later on. Have you heard or read anything about that? I just had my certate 5000 serviced.. $90 but there was an Exist in the same box for another customer.. $180 later....
@@daves7104 doesn’t make any sense hey! I’ve always used local servicing guys or done it myself man. I can’t see why Daiwa couldn’t service them as they still do the airity LT in Aus? I haven’t heard great things about Daiwa servicing anyway to be honest….. not personally experience, just mates and when I worked in the industry.

why it so expensive smh.. does it worth it to upgrade from ballistic LT2000 ?
Honestly man for the size of fish they’re designed to catch it’s probably not worth the upgrade haha. They are super smooth to fish with though
